"Courage" album - Official Topic

Imagine this album will have 16 tracks. I hope this recent recorded songs will not be included in the upcoming album. Let this be a single. But I feel Recovering will be included.

- Hymn

- Recovering

- The Show Must Go On

- How Does A Moment Last Forever

Honestly, if they dare to include any of these, which some are 2 years old already, I will lose all hope and faith in this team, for what she once was in the music industry. Also some of the new songs she has probably recorded by now will be 1-2 years old when the album is released.

They’d better come up with a full brand new tracklist. They have to.

For once I need to agree with Javi, they better don’t include those three songs. It would have maybe made sense for HDAMLF if it wan the Oscar but we all know by now that’s not happening.

Also because nowadays most people will stream the album on a platform like spotify. Those tracks ( how does a moment last forever, hymn, the show must go on and recovering) are already there to stream. I recently read about Bono of U2 saying that since people nowadays stream the music, an album cannot have any fillertracks anymore but every track must be equally great. That is a challenge he said, but eventually make the quality of the songs better.

Céline's team must know this.

Hope they don't change her voice too much. Sometimes I wonder if she knows that and what they do in post production. ... that's what I mostly don't like about EUS. They make her sound like she can't sing and this makes all the emotion disappear.

Now I'd like she would sing a song like "never enough" from The Greatest Showman...

Celine's team and techs and apps and social media streamings?....mmmmmm.... nop.... they are still playing the snake in Nokia phones... hahahah

As I said before I wouldn't mind if the album includes as a plus "Recovering", it has a very elegance production and its a timeless tune, and it makes sense as a closing track for the "first" album since Rene... And if they include TSMGO I really hope they re-arrange the production... but it seems non-sense... verything was kind of design for the billboards (bad designed anyway)... and the beauty soundtrack... i guess it will be included as a bonus track in some edition... they are always so current... meh.. hahahaha

Yeah I saw that!

Is it wishfull thinking?

It really would be the PERFECT timing to release her single.

First it was her "comeback" after the loss of Rene, second it was to remind them who is still QUEEN with MHWGO, and this should be the perfect opportunity to show them this is me,my new song and I'm never gonna go away... :P

But ah her team and perfect decisions...

I'm guessing she will do a cover in a tribute to someone haha

They just announced the Billboard Awards' date this year: May 20. She's still on a break that day won't begin her run until May 22.

It would be epic for her to perform there the third year in a row, but now with her brand new single!

PERFECT. (as Sheeran would sing)

In the end it would be even more perfect to premiere the single at the Grammy's, perform HDAMLF at the Oscar's and then perform the single again (or another song) at the Billboards.... SO many opportunities................

Wouldn’t be a fourth year in a row?

Hymn a l’amour

TSMGO

MHWGO

If HDAMLF is nominated for an Oscar, I'm pretty sure it would be included in the new album for obvious reasons...

As for the Grammys, they keep having duets and trios so it might not be so easy to perform a new single there. It would be easier at the Billboard Awards or American Music Awards. Fingers crossed.

No please no recovering. I think the song had its time and was nice at that moment but do not include it in this new album.

The thing is, i think, they produce her vocals too dry, missing reverb and what i also notice that in the mix her vocals seem to stand in front of the music. The backgroundmusic is sometimes too soft in volumelevel. In her 90s cd's that was not the case at all and i think the reverb was much better and the vocals were less dry.

Best Live Album for me is the Céline Dion à l'Olympia.. Reverb is really much better.. That's why Celine loves to sing in the bathroom

That comes with that specific concert hall. You could say that the Olympia is a huge bathroom on its own. It’s pure magic ❤️

I love that album so much. I wish they would release a DVD, and include any songs that were cut ::coughOXYGENEcough::

I think all Céline hardcore fans with no exceptions have been dreaming about this release for ages  . It's one of the most sought-after concerts of her on DVD.

Wasn’t Oxygene the only song cut from the cd?

Think it was the only song cut from the VHS release that wasn’t included in the CD version. But that does not mean there were more songs performed in the shows that weren’t included on the VHS...

I’d wish these songs to be on a separate album or single track...

I’d like to have something physical, instead of all that streaming stuff........ I’d like to hold something in my hands.

But I agree, it should not be on the upcoming album (except for Recovering maybe).

I fear the future, with no albums at all anymore. The singles have gone, it’s a pity... the albums will disappear too...

Although the vinyl is having a come back now.

Music albums won’t go, same as books will not cease to exist!

And singles are still produced in certain markets... there’s a niche market for them in countries like Germany (and growing again in the UK, same as vinyls) :)

Record stores are rapidly going out of business, and even big corporate stores like Target and Best Buy here in the US have drastically downsized their music departments. The Target by me has only one very small wall of CDs.

But that's not because of the format, that's because many people buys music online today. In my country Amazon and online shopping is killing many traditional retail shops, and that's for electronics, books, movies etc... But not because sales are decreasing but because consumer habits are changing.

The best away to sell cds today is at the concerts merchandising store, like indie artists do :-D

I misread your post as it said "Music albums won’t go, same as books will not cease to exist!"

I was thinking literally, because to me an "album" is the physical product in your hand, same for books. Eventually, I believe that everything will be digital.

Although the decrease in producing physical copies of albums is absolutely residual, going back to the early to mid 2000's when piracy was at it's peak.

Sure.

That's probably why streaming does count for charts and why some artists double their figures from pure sales to all together sales.

Even Itunes sales has been becoming almost irrelevant.

I don't think physical cds are meant to dissapear but it's not because they still exist that it means it's the main format.

Céline is a physical seller but it will keep her from charting high. Just look at "TAST" charts those last 2 years...

Céline is from another generation. And she's not the only one to suffer from this. Though we have to accept that x streams = 1 sales.
