And second the comment re. no autotune / ProTools / producers who don't know where to stop with all their fancy new soundboard gadgets (it's ultimately what spoils much of EUS for me). Real vocals and real instruments, please.

She needs to work with one and only producer as she did for D'Eux, somoene who does not want to do something commercial, but something which corresponds to her as Goldman did. They have to create music, not produce.

Especially if the song is for modern era so your voice will be also in modern era. Hello! Autotune. But for pink song there is no autotune present. Who produced it?

I've read a few pages full of ideas from you to the new English album. Some ideas spread fear and horror: Please an album without prehistoric excavations like Diane Warren, David Foster and Over the Rainbows. Enough us enough. No, I ask SONY to invest in new ideas. If someone can take risks and provocations, then the established artist is like Celine Dion.

 

My ideas: Songs written by Tom Odell. I wish he was her new goldman.

Or a duet with ... well, what do I know: Metallica? AC / DC?

Or a song with Abba as a background chorus.

A song textified by the pope.

 

It needs the brilliant idea, which forces the radios to play the song.

I think this new album will come with a Diane Warren song and some production of David Foster, Diane Warren will surely since she posted a picture with Céline.

More I would like to go beyond Céline name than she already did, she wanted to work with:

- Coldplay - perhaps a duet, Cris Martin has said he wanted to work with her , I think it would be very good.

- Bruno Mars - perhaps a song written and producida by Bruno Mars, just as he did for Adele;

- Sia - Certainly, she should write a bombastic song for Celine and she could not miss on this album;

- Calvin Harris - A song it would really pumping;

- Ryan Tedder One Republic - yes it is good music and has written for cantras like Beyonce, it would be good to have it on the album;

- Sam Smith - A duet classic would be very good.

 

If they are going to change and give a new vision of acera Céline songs hope they think these artists for a breakthrough. More I try not to create too many expectations, since frustei me with Pink music, let's wait and see.

I have a more positive feeling for this album than I had for LMBTL!

 

Reason is that the first sample of this record is Recovering. Back in 2012 or so we were introduced with the half original songs - half Vegas covers theme for the album.

 

Seems like they are on a better track this time... and hopefully they will avoid the mistakes of the past.

Céline is known for her voice I know. But they should play more it..

Taking Chances and most of LMBTL have "raw" recordings.

Don't know how to explain it... but a song like "My kind of love" or "Hurts" by Emeli Sande...

I would love if Sia wrote a song that is much different then what Sia is known for. I'd love a song with a soft first verse, chorus, and a second verse that slowly builds up to a bombastic chorus that dies back down. I think a song that shows off what she can do, but not an entirely shouty song would be appropriate. I love the songs that show Céline can sing, but sometimes i wish they weren't all loud, if that even makes any sense.

I do love LMBTL (song) but it is very repetitive ... I agree another Sia song should showcase her voice without being too shouty!

To me, LMBTL was the perfect song. The only thing that bothers me is that just a few months later , Sia was literally everywhere with "Chandelier" which is some kind of LMBTL.

 

Worse: "Chandelier" is even more simple : no bombastic intro, no bridge and a way more repetitive ending ( at least , Céline's song has some vocal layers and guitar riffs). Sia literally stopped singing after the second verse as the rest is no more than a copy/paste.

Even their way of singing the verses are the same.

 

Sia's song was shouty, I don't think Céline was : it was only pureness and fluidity, I might be biaised here but it seems it comes out so easily ( OMG: she sounds like godness in the pre-chorus) while Sia is struggling...

 

Of course, the live performances were not all of them perfect but nothing to be ashamed of when I hear some Sia's live performances.

 

This case is a real example of how the music industry : Céline was completely ignored by radio and thus commercially failed but Sia was completely embraced in the same period of time ...with more or less the same song.

I love Breakaway, i just regret for the bad production, that song should be revisited by David Foster to give a decent production
