CelinesDIVO5 Posted September 11, 2015 at 03:08 PM Posted September 11, 2015 at 03:08 PM Agree... it's a matter of lyrics. And the added vocals in the instrumental part... no sense. I don't hate R,T but it's not my genre. I love the r&b genre...just not that song lol 2 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

scielle Posted May 1, 2016 at 02:55 AM Posted May 1, 2016 at 02:55 AM His name is Christian Mcbride and he's a VERY well respected bassist. These are comments from both his facebook and twitter "mcbridesworldI swear I'm not lying...Celine Dion just recorded a free, wide open improvisational piece with @herbie__hancock, me & Terri Lyne" "Christian McBride @mcbridesworldCeline was channeling Linda Sharrock and a little Leon Thomas. #shock" From his facebook: "Well, here I am with Celine. The entire session was videotaped by Sony Records. I hope you enjoy it when it's released (don't know the release date yet). Tell you what, Celine Dion is one amazingly talented and fearless lady. She's got an amazing voice and artistically, she jumped right in there with Herbie, Terri Lyne and myself. In fact, one of the songs we did was a free improvised piece. (Yes, believe it.) We had a lot of fun." A lot of his fans were skeptical when he announced it..but when you have a legit jazz musician praising you (and not just her voice, but her interpretation which can often be lacking)...it means something. That's why I'm excited to see how Celine sounds on this record!! Watching this International Jazz Day concert at the White House on ABC. Christian is absolutely killing it at this show. Herbie & Terri Lyne doing Purple Rain in tribute to Prince – with Aretha on vocals. I can’t believe Celine did a full session with these people – the absolute best in in their craft – and Sony is just sitting on it! Just release it already! No need to put it on a main English release if you fear it’ll alienate the masses, but please, please let us hear/ see it! Ugh. They must have sooo many unreleased goodies. Why let all this stuff collect dust?! (BTW, you can watch the entire White House concert here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsmnWg0pneY Aretha on piano – always a treat.) 5 Quote

If there's a new album coming, she must still be working on that and maybe it will come in the summer.I wish so much visual album including videos for: Thank You (something like "Parler à mon père" video), Loved Me Back to Life, Somebody Loves Somebody (video in BW), Breakaway, DIDN'T KNOW LOVE (!!!!!), Unfinished Songs(!!!). I've some ideas for videos of those songs. 1 Quote

If Celine is to make a visual album in 2017 I want to be all new, fresh and original. So no LMBTL songs, the album had its run. That said, I wish she had made a music video for LMBTL. Taking Chances Posted August 26, 2016 at 02:28 PM Posted August 26, 2016 at 02:28 PM I really hope puts all of her emotions in making new music and don't dwell in the sorrow of losing her husband. She is an excellent singer and I want her to do what she loves and make more music. That might sound selfish of me, but I really don't mean in that way. I feel like she might be the strongest singer out there, and I don't mean vocally, but emotionally with everything she has gone through this past year and she still managed to make Encore un soir. I really hope this could be the beginning of a new era of new music. I found this review of Encore un soir https://www.thestar....oir-review.html and I particularly liked this part: "The is the only song here written (in partnership with longtime Dion collaborator Jean-Jacques Goldman) expressly for Angélil, and it’s actually rather good. Dion — who also lost her brother Daniel to cancer in January within days of her husband’s death — has never sounded more wounded and three-dimensionally human on a record, going from laughter to breakdown and covering every emotion in between in 4:23. It’s a perfectly timed tour de force, and an “oh yeah” reminder that, behind the schmaltz and the overproduction that come hand-in-hand with her recordings, Céline Dion is a really, really good singer." 2 Quote

IL_DINO Posted September 1, 2016 at 07:18 PM Posted September 1, 2016 at 07:18 PM (edited) WHEN it would be Christmas, I would like to see: Songs by Tom Odell! He's young, unspent. Songs like "Can not pretentd" or "Grow old with me". Or a duet. Great would be the song "Somehow" from his current album. Another idea: Sacral influenced music? For example, by Zbginjew Peisner (Film Music by LA DOUBLE VIE DE VERONIQUE, BLUE, RED, ETC). I'm not keen on cover songs. But if she really must: MORNING TRAIN by Sheena Easton, TELL HIM by Bette Midler (I know that is not Orignal from her), DON'T LEAVE ME THIS WAY by The Communards. Or songs of Chi Coltrane (HALLELUJAH or WHO EVER TOLD YOU). But honestly, Celine Dion could even yodel - and I would still buy. LG Stefan Edited September 1, 2016 at 07:19 PM by IL_DINO 1 Quote
