I don't want it to be idan as the opener... I'd rather have a pre show with the fans video shown and then maybe 2 mins break then celine and a new song opening the show. But either way I'm happy and glad she's back :) Edited by Shamrock_1982

I really hope it's LTAL for the opener! I mean - I loved Open Arms - but if it wasn't a good crowd, there was this awkward silence before she started singing. I mean she's just got on stage and there's a long silence! Argh!

 

LTAL would really work... ...Lets talk about love... Good evening Las Vegas!!! CROWD GOES WILD ... From the laughter of a child etc etc.

 

Not sure where the curtain drop would come in though unless they cut the second verse and go straight into the guitar solo and the third verse... If they decide to keep the curtain drop of course...

 

Hmmm.

 

Can't believe we will find out in 2 days.!!!!!!

I've never seen anything like it when you type in Celine dion on Google...

 

This news has gone big.... I'd list them but there is over 200 articles ...

So there was confirmation today that there will be 10 news songs. In the last Vegas show, setlist summer 2014, there were exactly 10 songs that we could qualify as covers, meaning they were not recorded before the show started in March 2011. I figure they are all out, since the show has to have a 90-100 minute length.

 

Please, say goodbye to:

Open Arms

Mr. Paganini

Lullabye

Goldinger/Nobody does it better/Live and let die 100% OUT (confirmed by Celine's team)

Spinning Wheel

How do you keep the music playing?

Overbored

At seventeen

 

On all these songs, I would keep Mr. Paganini and How do you keep the music playing. The rest: OUT!

Opening song could be the show must go on. Think about it, could work. Kind of like after all they're going through and the last year- the show must go on. I don't know just had a thought.

I agree. The only one I would like to stay however is HDYKTM, because it is a duet with herself, which is a very cool idea!

Ken Erhlich - The family-photo montage set to Billy Joel's "Lullabye (Goodnight My Angel)" has been given an understandable rest, given the life drama playing out beyond the stage. Other songs outside Dion's catalog of hits — including the show-opening cover of Journey's "Open Arms" — also were considered fair game for swapping out.

So I have a question. Do we at this point know if there will be more shows after Jan 17 2016. I mean obvs nothing official has been released but do we expect her to do another round and if so when might it get announced?

Of the songs that were not programmed in his consols, there is about ten of them. If someone is better at translating this, do it)

I wonder if this means that out of all the background displays he's done for Celine that 10 of the songs that will be featured in the show were not part of what he had previously designed.

I could see the show opening with TSMGO, imagine the theatre goes dark and the violins start up.

 

Although secretly I'm dreaming of TYLAM opening the show!

I seriously think that this is NOT the way to go.

 

Imagine what Kind of Album we would get if it wasn't for Sony, who did not like the idea of an "evening-gown Album" full of boring Songs, and insisted to postpone the release to record new modern tracks like LMBTL or SLS, which we all love! They should stick to that modern concept also for the show, and not go in the opposite direction

Sorry to say but couldn't disagree more.

 

Also, hope they don't cut Mr. Paganini. That's the best thing on that old set list; I'd be hugely disappointed if she took that out of her repertoire. Shows amazing versatility and it's just such a fun song which she sings masterfully.

I'm also for a whole show of ballads :heart:

But maybe Just a little bit of upbeat songs, maybe 1 :lol:
