Macaronie Posted November 2, 2013 at 11:07 PM Posted November 2, 2013 at 11:07 PM Overjoyed is so terrible that I have no words to describe how much I hate it. After this, I don't even hate having HYEBIL once again on the One Heart album. Stevie's voice just makes me want to jump into the Rhine river. UGHHHH! Yes it makes want to drive off a cliff...and it is worth it... 2 Quote

shak ali Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:29 AM Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:29 AM Daybreak n This Morning are both aired on ITV 1 with DB on from 0600 to 0830 GMT and TM from 11.30 GMT onwards which is all live. There is a middle segment called LORRAINE which I assume she will also be on as they do get guests to overlap across these morning segments. My guess is likely to be Thursday 7th November Quote
shak ali Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:31 AM Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:31 AM Overall a strong promo schedule. ..however if she managed to get on Alan Carr and Graham Norton TV shows that would have been the strongest she could have hoped for...along with Jonathan Ross Quote
Javito Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:35 AM Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:35 AM (edited) I mean, to another song.We deserve at least one well done official video with the storyline Celine is a great actress. She proved it many times. Why don't they use it?We didn't get a good video for a very long time... So very much agree. Here we have another big contradiction of her. She says she would like to act in a movie someday. So why she doesn't take the advantage of videoclips to act in them, while the movie project arrives (if it ever is going to happen ). For someone who is saying year after year since the early 90's that one of the dreams in her "do" list is to act and do a movie, I don't see much persistence when she has the chance to do good stories in her videoclips and she wastes these chances. marc-02 Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:36 AM Posted November 3, 2013 at 02:36 AM (edited) I was not a fan of SYS... but after listening to the one with the rap interlude, i must say it has single potential... the song itself (chorus actually) sounds dated... but when the rap was added, it brought back and enhanced the modern feel that was present in the verses also... it somehow made the song "complete"! So im scratching my head as to why they did not include this in the deluxe version!!! Edited November 3, 2013 at 02:40 AM by marc-02 3 Quote

browseceline Posted November 3, 2013 at 11:20 AM Posted November 3, 2013 at 11:20 AM LONG LIVE OVERJOYED! a song that does not belong on this album. No matter how much they tried to fit it in. The start of the song makes me cringe. I was like - is this a Disney intro??? There have been songs I liked by Stevie Wonder, but this... I just do not like his voice here.. at all. 3 Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
LuisMa Posted November 3, 2013 at 11:24 AM Posted November 3, 2013 at 11:24 AM Here's a revealing interview with "Always Be Your Girl" writer Dana Parish on the New York Post: http://nypost.com/2013/11/02/nyc-songwriter-dana-parish-finds-big-break-with-celine-dion/ Loved this: “There’s not a day when I don’t sift through Facebook messages and tweets. Though sometimes the language is fuzzy, the common thread is always ‘love,’ ‘Celine’ and ‘please,’ ” Parish says. There’s one other perk, too: “My royalty check from iTunes sales surged this quarter,” she admits. “It’s about five times higher!” 4 Quote
Taking Chances Posted November 3, 2013 at 11:44 AM Posted November 3, 2013 at 11:44 AM (edited) Same font I am starting to like this font now. It grew on me, but it was weird seeing it somewhere else that isn't associated with Celine. My album is on repeat, and now Overjoyed just came on. I wish I had a gun to kill those f***ing birds. And what is she saying?! "The semen has come... from too far away". Seriously, that's all I hear, and then they sing about being "overjoyed". Well, there's some irony for you. browseceline Posted November 3, 2013 at 12:00 PM Posted November 3, 2013 at 12:00 PM (edited) My review of this album: 1. Loved me back to life - Love love it. I love the Justin Timberlake-ish drums and the big vocals in the refrain. It sounds like a Rihanna song and it feels mature. Still my favorite on this album.2. Somebody loves somebody - I had to hear it more to like it. And now I even think it is a great song. It is catchy and sooner or later you will be humming the song without knowing it ;-) The song is an example of how just a few chords can be used to make a potential hitsong.3. Incredible - It is a very nice song, I like Ne-Yo's voice very much. Like I said before, I don't see the need of a distorted piano, it does not work in my opinion. The beat is very cool, listen to the big bassdrum. Very 2013The song is simple and also uses a few chords but has a strong big beat. Another potential hitsong.4. Water and a flame - Lovely instrumental with so many subtle nuances, like a harp playing in the background. The song has a jazzy vibe all over. I had to get used to hearing Celine's bedroom voice. But in this song it definately works. And that high note! wow! amazing! Definately like the song.5. Breakaway - Big Celine - I Surrender like- song. Wish I did not hear Ivy;s version first, because now it does not sound new anymore. And you can't deny that you are going to compare both versions. Beautiful song, definately.6. Save your Soul - 90s dancesong. I like it, it is catchy. the lyrics are not groundbreaking, but the beat really makes me wanna dance. I really like the song.7. Did'nt know Love - Ever heard a song starting so vulnerable? with that subtle piano and heartfelt singing, such beautiful lyrics. I really feel the love, in her voice, in the lyrics, in the beautiful instrumental. It makes you thinking about the one you love with all your heart, about feeling in love. Best ballad on this album!8. Thank You - I totally love it. - the synth pad that goes on through the whole song gives the song a laidback feeling and a chilling sound. The backgroundsingers sound a bit like Glee. I think this song is a gem. Beautiful lyrics too.9. Overjoyed - The start of the song has Disney all over - Totally not fitting in this album at all. The beat in the song tries to fit the song in the album, but despite that, it did not work at all. I really don't like Stevie Wonder in this song, totally not. And the song itself sounds sooooo boring, outdated ( despite the drums), cheesy.... ewww. At this moment I am listening to it for this review..... oh that nasal voice of Stevie... aaa I hate it. Skipping the song now! Can't stand it anymore.By the way before I skip - I hear something now I am listening to the song on my headphone. The claps in the song are waterdrops? Okay.... skipping now10. Thankful - starts like ... something I heard before, like like this song... this is the I Surrender of this album, definately. You should try listening to this album on a very good headphone ( sennheiser px200 in my case) to hear all the subtle nuances, the bassdrum, the bassline, hammond organ , as in this song. And the bridge with that very high voice, sounds like a angel singing to you... so beautiful. Now I know where the song reminds me of! Pray! from the album A new Day Has come. Oh I wish the choir came earlier and stayed longer... nice nice song! By the way did anyone in here think of - How many people are dying, People are crying, how many people .... ( don't save it all for christmas day)11. At Seventeen - time for a chill moment again. Subtle toms in the background, a triangle, crystal clear vocals, a guitar playing. I like it. Even though we have heard it so many times already, this studioversion is nice as well. Not sure if it fits this album, - I could skip this one12. Always Be Your girl - Like the song, - I am very sure I heard this melody somewhere. oh I love this song. It gives me chills all over.13. Unfinished songs - Okay it was unfinished, but what they did now is completely change it. Listen to the vocals and see how the chords along with it. It does not sound like a new song but definately a remix. It is a chill out remix of this song. I have to say, listening on it on my headphone does make a difference.I wish the earlier version ever will say daylight again. I feel they were on the right track. Remember that little audio snippet on the official website? That already sounded so much better then we heard until then. But gone are the strings and have made place for chilling padsounds. I can't say I don't like it, it is completely different. Verdict: Great great album. Not much songs I would skip. Overjoyed, At Seventeen would be the ones I skip. But for the rest they did a great job.And they managed to keep the album consistent. I wish the album had more tracks though. After so many years 17 tracks could easily be put on a album. Then they could leave the Vegas covers for a Vegas album, as they don't fit in this album at all. favorites :Loved me back to lifeSomebody Loves Somebody ( should be next single !!!)Incredible ( NeYo is what is hot today, good for single getting noticed too- and the song is very catchy and very 2013)Didn't know LoveThankyouThankfulAlways be your girl Edited November 3, 2013 at 12:21 PM by browseceline 1 Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Did you ever play Duck Hunt on Nintendo? That game has new meaning to me now. I could put on Overjoyed while playing the game and just release all my anger. Also, in Thankful it sounds like she says "Running to alleyways, steeling little kids again." it's a little bizarre to steal kids and then talk about ghosts and fairytales. Oh Celine. 3 Quote

Taking Chances Posted November 3, 2013 at 01:01 PM Posted November 3, 2013 at 01:01 PM I really love the way Celine performs Loved Me Back To Life live. The high note in the end going from "Yeeaaayah" to "Uuuh ooh uuuh" instead of right back into the chorus. I wish the studio version was like that. Quote
