I thought there would be more substance to that video as well.

I love how she pronounces Anna Montanna.

See that entire press junket event they kept asking her about Miley Cyrus, irritating. :pinch:

It's going to be interesting in Germany.

Just letting you guys know that she will be on CBS at 7! Just saw the previews...she looked upset in the clip they showed!

What is the name of the show, littleames?

If they keep asking her about Miley, that's a good reason to be upset. :pinch:

Omg Insider I think..it doesn't show up on my guide, but I'm using the stream from last night and it showed a preview. They also tweeted it would be on at 7.

Target is now advertising the cd :w00t: BUT it is postioned right next to Eminem's album. I know his cd is being released the same day as Céline's. I wonder if RC has his record yet? :giggle:

see if Eminem's CD is right next to hers then her album should accidentally go on top in his as you walk by the display. Haha Edited by Del

I just listened to the full album. The one without the computer voice interrupting the song saying "For you...Breakaway."

I think it's a great album. Her best since A New Day Has Come by far. The only song I haven't really grown attached to is "Seventeen." I didn't like "Water and a Flame" at first but it's slowly growing on me.

I'm actually surprised by the number of ballads on the album. In her interviews she keeps keeps talking about how this is a "new" sound for her. It's "edgier" but I don't really get that. The only more uptempo songs on the album are "Somebody Loves Somebody" and "Save Your Soul." So, my only criticism for the album is that I would have liked one or two more songs with a beat.

Yes it's driving me crazy. It really opens Celine up to ridicule in a way!

I've actually warmed up to At Seventeen and Overjoyed a lot more, and I now think they fit with this album. I had grown tired of At Seventeen because of Vegas, but hearing the studio version makes it a new experience for me. I think this album was set up perfectly, honestly. There are only a few "throw away" tracks imo.

Making those 2 different is a good thing....different to listen too.......I have to wait until tom to get my CD...I got the vinyl version but I ordered the Japanese version OL to get the extra songs.

New sound doesn't have to be uptempo.

That ending is kind of awkward lol. Babyface just sits there.

"At Seventeen" Recording Session :-)

I actually really like At 17, and Celine's interpretation -- but this was one of the most weirdly un-enthusiastic behind-the-scenes ever, especially compared to all the excitement in the others we've seen. Celine, Babyface, that other producer guy .. .they all seem tired. They're all saying nice things, but they don't seem that into anything they're saying. The best part is Celine's description of why the song is meaningful to her . .and that's the audio from the 3 Boys and a New Show special. And when she says "It sounds great" and says she's happy at the end . . .I don't really believe her. And Babyface didn't respond at all to that. Maybe they were all just tired. Interesting.

No, but she has said this album has more of an edge. I take that to mean something other than ballads.

She has said many times that they didn't do a "reverb" to her voice like they did on all of her other albums. I'm not entirely sure what that means but she doesn't really sound all that different on this album. At least, to me.

I see nothing wrong with the video. It's not the type of song you get up and dance to. lol I love it.
