i think she could have some difficulty figuring when to take her air....this song demands a perfect timing to keep the rhytm , the flow. I find that it is lacking a little bit. If she loses the timing, panic, and some bad notes. she will figure it perfectly with time.

You're exactly right. For one thing, in the studio it's certain that the song isn't recorded top to bottom. And those powerful notes come from a break. She just has to figure out how to attack it, like she did with "Taking Chances." She will. I have faith in my favorite singer.

Go on the website and you will see a tab that says videos. Press it and you will find the video there.

i think she lacks air....didn't take enough, don't know where to take longer pause, sometimes , there is virtually no place...but as i said, sh'll figure it out.

And yeah I agree with the lack of tone. But come on guys! People won't notice! She still was powerful, and C5 is her comfort zone but it's still considered an "upper chest belt", thus a high note. In most of the songs she hits it once during the verses. In this song she does it 4 times each verse. That means, 4x more chances to fail!

 

It's like MHWGO. She has to hit a D#5, but only TWICE in THE WHOLE SONG. And she's been struggling with those notes the last few times she performed it real live.

 

 

So I think, it's still a hard song for her to sing, and she's brave enough not to lower it (where it would lose most of its power), and to sing it live. Now nobody can call her the "lipsynching master"

 

Yes I'm worried about the "raspy" it's okay sometimes but not always, and when Maria asked Celine if we can expect this ediger Celine on the whole album she said yes that makes me sad abit I want at least a couple crystal clear "standard celine Dion vocals"' with tr long, clear and beautiful notes, TC. Had nasal and now her voice is in great shape no nasal at all so NOWs the time for the harder songs to sing in terms of "longer notes etc" I don't want people to think I'm old fashioned bc I'm not, I love LMBTL but I want a few "water from

The moons" too!

People I belive that sometimes fans demand so much from here. They espect to sound, dress, look, sing and talk perfectly in every single occasion. She is a HUMAN, and we are very far from being perfect. Celine is close hahaha but still we don't know what may happen on a day where she was nervous or sounded "not perfect". I think we all love her no matter what and we have to be conscious about the fact that she is not 20 anymore and that some songs are be more difficult to sing than others, Come on have you heard LMBTL, it is such a freacking demanding song for any singer and she does it great. Everytime she is on TV and I come to the forum to check the news I get very disappointed and sad when I read all the comments. I wouldn't like to know how she would feel is she reads everything that her fans are saying about her. :down: She is doing a great job, she is funny, beutiful and with the most amazing voice ever, but that voice sometimes is not on top shape. So what? She is singing live!!!!!!!!! and she still sounds amazinggggggggggggg :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:. Please let's stop being so negative around here and let's enkoy this new album :wub:

Considering how vocally demanding it is she's not doing too bad with it but I really wish she wouldn't go into that key(what is falsetto?) on the super high notes (i think) after the bridge. Other then that I can't fault her really she's doing the best she can and honestly considering most singers don't even attempt to sing live anymore I'm really proud of Celine. Edited by Kristinaz

I do understand your point. And I think most fans always support her no matter how the performance was. :)

For me, some "worrying" comments don't mean that we don't understand her or want her to be always 100% perfect.

 

We just worry about her voice because Celine is the one we love so much. :wub:

l like to read various truthful views about her performances, good or bad.

And especially from guys who know about vocal/technical things (because I don't know much LoL).

So I can know how exactly my Celine is now. :)

 

Just like I love to hear the doctor telling me about my mom's health. LoL :w00t:

Plus she's done a lot of travelling and talking this week...both things which could stress her voice. It's clear she's mega excited about promoting this album but as you guys say, probably nervous too. Think she just needs time to get comfortable with the song...like any new relationship , it'll take time ;) Edited by egyptstrawb

Yes I agree it seems like Céline is not very comfortable, like it was hard for her to sing song ... if so ... better for her to use playback now for promo.

Its not so bad... her voice just cracked a bit in the last part... but overall it was a much stronger performance than jimmy kimmel...

 

Btw... i noticed she had a different drummer and bassist... yves, mego and andre were there... no back up singers too bad...

This one is the best perfomance of the song! I had said Celine was going to do better on the Ellen show as she was disappointed with the perfomance on Jimmy Kimmel.

 

Her voice in the soft verses was beautiful, despite her recent habit of sounding raspy. I think there was no nasality and her belts had actual power.

 

There was only 1 point (The final ''the wait is over'') where her voice almost cracked, she managed to pull herself fast though.

 

I'm so proud of her, bravo Celine! :D

It's much better than Jimmy, you can see that she's done some work, she sounds perfectly fine through most of the song, she has yet to figure out how to hit the highest notes. It's still surprising though that she were managed to do so in Quebec and in LV... but she is improving. She'll surely nail the next time

IMO, it's better than the Jimmy Kimmel show performance. It seems that they changed it so that she's supposed to hit that falsetto note... Don't really like the change... :hmm:
