Yes she sang her heart out, you could see that. But she had a hard time to do that. The refrain is still a bit of a problem for her. Maybe because she is ill or tired, I don;t know. No I don't expect her to be perfect each and every time, but again I was not blown away. Not because I expect big notes, but she simply did not impress with her voice. It was not so good. Better then Jimmy's that is for sure. And the band, they want us and the audience to believe that this band was playing the song live on stage, but that was not the case. There was the same audiotape playing and the band was simulating like they were playing the song. She is NOT perfect - - but you all dissect every performance. It is really irritating. Can't you just be proud of her? Happy that she is doing live performances and still putting out new stuff for her fans? Love her because ... well, we do? I just don't get the reasoning behind tearing apart every performance of hers and analyzing her every note. You can't keep comparing her performances to the ones she did 10 years ago - - even 5 years ago. Her voice ages with her body - - she does what she can to protect it, but come on!!! we are supposed to be the ones that stand by her no matter what. And if someone on the outside said the things that we did, we would jump all over them to make sure Celine looks good. Give her a break!!!! It's not being "dark" or "negative" it's just an observation. She just seemed very strained singing it on Ellen and on Jimmy Kimmel. However, she did do a ridiculously amazing performance on Un Seule Fois. I really do hope she is just a bit under the weather. I'd hate to think she's losing her touch. That would be devastating. "Before you criticize Celine, you should walk a mile in her shoes" you don't know why she didn't hold the high note, you don't know if she's tired, you don't know if she's ill...whatever! give her a break! So hopefully this puts an end to all of the conspiracy theories about her voice finally being lost yet again I'm just in shock at this forum lately. It's one thing to acknowledge when she's had a bad performance or 2, it's another to jump to the conclusion that she's "lost it". This is twice in a row this has happened. I think Céline suffers from allergies. And the pollution in LA sure doesn't help... However, Céline is terrible at selling her stuff... She mentioned that initially the album was to include 6 new songs and 6 songs from Vegas but that new songs kept coming in - to her surprise. But she never finished the story to tell how many new songs there were! Quote
