Ellen is always fresh and ready to go at the beginnings of her seasons. The audiences are EXTRA happy. Celine will be off from Vegas for a while -- so she won't have that stress! Also -- if I remember correctly -- the last time Celine taped an Ellen show, it was at night time (or later in the day). The Ellen show will do that for certain guests with scheduling conflicts. So Ellen was probably not thrilled about that. AND Ellen was going through that public disappointment about the dog adoption at that same time. Just not good timing -- so, of course, the interview wasn't as lighthearted. It was still a decent interview in 2007, though! Just not as great at this one's going to be!! ***I hope Ne-Yo makes a couple surprise appearances on these talk shows with Celine. It would do buckets of good for her cool factor. If he showed up and they did the duet -- and then Ne-Yo praised the bejesus out of her, that would do more for records sales than 10 more appearances. Or, at the very least, maybe some pre-taped interview with Ne-Yo, talking about what an honor it is to work with Celine. Any stamps of approval from younger, "hipper" artists will be MUCH NEEDED! I want this album to target ALL DEMOGRAPHICS -- not just her hardcore fan base and older folks. It'd be great -- on Oprah or Ellen or otherwise -- to show a compilation of other artists praising Celine: Christina A., Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, etc. 3 Quote
