As if Celine would have something to loose in comparison to Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and the others pop tarts. Ridiculous...

 

I can asure you she has a lot to loose in comparisons with nowadays good pop artist, maybe not with Spears or Cyrus... but you are stuck in this two examples... but there is a TOP 200 on iTunes that can play the game... Only if you could just for a moment stay out of your vision as an inconditional fan. What it is good. I'm a fan too.. but I can analyze the situation and being realistic Celine only have a good Voice as wining card and sometimes a good voice it's not all... (and please.. don't response me talking about the albums sale or the history or Vegas... I know that and that's not the point.. I'm just talking about music aspects only.)

In my case what I like is that i'm tired too since LMBTL get released of people who are critizing the singers that are in the hot list just because Celine isn't there, or people who are trying to lie themselves saying that Celine is not in the top list because the music of nowadays is a s**t... ad she is over that..... Let be Perry, Gaga, J-Lo, Rihanna or Spears be the top list of success and just enjoy LMBTL.. whatever it makes in the lists (that by the way it doesn't mean a thing...) I just stopped to pretend that the people of my age are going to listen to Celine.. as her own son says.. she is not cool... she is in another level for better or for worse... maybe "The Power of Love is an anthem and a timeless song... maybe... I don't know... I like it somehow (even I prefer to avoid the 90's Celine music...) but when my friends will be in a wedding in 2020 for example... When Dj plays The Power of Love my friends are going to do overreacted Diva Poses and goofy things remembering all this 90's diva we growed up and when the same dj plays "I Kissed a Girl" they will be jumping and singing a song that they will remember their crazy youth... Just enjoy what you like and try not to compare because if you go out, maybe you discover Celine has all to loose in comparisons with other artist-singers... lets just enjoy the magic that Celine has for us and other people don't understand or don't want to do it.. Maybe we are fools but there is no better happiness that the fools' one...

There is a singer for every style and moment in our lives...

 

In reaction to this post; some girl who sang Oops I did it again with a guitare at The Voice last week and now she entered the Dutch top 100 at number one well i am sorry but when i see that sh!t like that and other bad songs making their way into the charts and not Celine with a quality wise good song than that makes me sad and angry!

 

It's not that I hate people like Katy and I grant them all their succes... but I do hate the fact that people on the radio boycot Céline just because they resent MHWGO! MY GAWD!!!

 

Of course I enjoy LMBTL but I also feel this song DESERVES to be more recognized and should be a global hit! People who like "cool" stuff will like ANYTHING that is played on the radio. IF LMBTL would be played on the radio, chance will be they will like the song too. They won't become diehard fans, but at least they will look further than "that Titanic singer"

 

 

Btw if WE as FANS don't even hope for Céline's songs to become hits, then who the hell will??!!??

I don't know.. it is strange with Celine... and we could make a full topic trying to discover this... why she has all this succes with Vegas and world tours and album sales but aparently nobody listen to her and everybody makes laugh and no radio plays it or she doesn't reach high places in list when if LMBTL would have been sungby Rihanna and be in the TOP.

 

For example.. when we discover the Sia version and then Celine sang it in quebec... my sister come to home.... she kind of make jokes about Celine and she doesn't understand why I like her... I make the experiment I'm pretty sure some of you have made... I call my sister and played Sia version... she said it was a cool song.. she liked it.. then I put the quebec song and this was the answer: "Oh my good........ This Melodrama queen destroying again a good song..." She could noticed all the contributions from Celine to the song in differences with Sia's so she think Sia's was much better and that Celine had destroyed another song... And for me the two versions are practically the same... But as I say... Celine has this kind of curse and she is not going to be in the hit lost even if she makes... Work B**ch.. that would be a international big Joke... Companies have decided what is going to be a hit at the moment even before they release it and sometimes there is surprises... but that's difficult... and for Celine is more difficult with the Titanic Stigma that gives her such a sum of money but ironically has create all this hate to her...

I did not say "all" Celine fans, I used it in a partitive sense. I said I was tired of Celine fans doing it, not Avril Lavigne nor Willy Nelson fans, but Celine Dion fans doing it. Dang! First off don't be tellin people not to like my post. You make me sound stupid and act like I don't know what you said when I did. Btw why do I have to be intellectual? There is nothing to be intellectual about because your post was simple. It's not like examining a painting.

 

Secondly, when you said "Celine fans" I assumed or thought you generalized the whole fanbase which you did. Btw adding Willie Nelson and Avril Lavigne fans just still points out that you are generalizing Celine fans. Also you don't speak for me and others when you make those generalizations because not all think a like.

 

The only reason you are talking or saying anything because people said something about the Britney video. I'm sorry but it's not a written rule just like there isn't a rule everyone should like Celine because they don't.

 

I don't like Gaga, Katy is ok, I liked Brit in the past but to me she is done. Let them pop tarts have their hits but I just think that the radio and music industry should allow anyone no matter what age they are should have a hit on the radio.

 

I don't like today's music (except a few people). I am also a fan of the band Chicago and other people. Celine is just in my fanlist and I don't worship her. That's all I am saying because this is dead. I am just saying that not all of us talk crap about other artists because of Celine.

I enjoy some of todays music but it doesn't mean it would be classics when i grow older. I won't be jumping and smile when i hear "alejandro" 20 years later for now for example. Same as i didn't enjoy "Get Down" from BSB now, simply switch to another song when i hear it now and God's know how much i used to loved this song so much. I'm not the fan who love everything Celine said or did. I don't even care when someone bashing Celine because i know she's good. Even my brother in law hate Celine, he said she just screaming when what he likes is some old rock music who do screaming alot.

I'm not often listening to the radio but very aware of todays music and i like some ot them. But i don't think every #1 song is the best in their era.
