Dam it's really snowballing since this morning!

Ya know what I would love....for Celine to record a video about this and in the end say, taking all this into account, as much as I love the song I feel it's best to take it off my new album and concentrate on the wonderful songs gifted to me by other song writers....who will be fully credited in my album!! Lol

I SO wish she, not her team, would put a video response! You and I know that's not going to happen though. I wish she would get with the times sometimes!

No there we go again... so annoying these people that suddenly stand up to bash Celine anonymous. I wonder why youtube never censures the reactions. How often people post negative and worse reactions on youtube, it is not normal. Sometimes racistic or even worse. It does say enough about those people though and I hope Celine does not see those reactions, because they are from a bunch of very dumb people. I even think those people are not fans of DM at all but just use this to bash Celine, just because they never liked her and now have a reason to bash her... plain dumb

I just feel sad with this . Sad because as much as I know Céline's intentions are only good and she's purely genuine, I know that she wouldn't be accused of these things if she cared more to sing her own songs That's what annoys me. Nothing of this would have to happen if she has had more hits of her own songs because she had promoted them in due time. The press in Billboard Awards, Katie Couric or whatever show she gives an interview wouldn't have to be asking "what's with Adele and you" if she had cared more to place her songs in the place they should be . They could be saying and paying compliments like "wow, I heard YOUR song Just Walk Away or Then You Look At Me its becoming popular these days because of your show, how come didn't you perform them before???" instead of asking her about the songs she's singing thanks to other singers that have performed them before

 

And sorry, but the image of Céline building her success with the Vegas show thanks to Michael Jackson, James Bond, Stevie Wonder and now Adele is always there, we like it or not

I understand Celine loves singing Rolling in the deep these months 'cos she really is rolling in the deep - same s*** I would say.

But the problem is this rolling has no way out for years now unfortunately.

I seriously hope Rene&co aren't such fools to insist on naming the album "the opposites" read WAAF.

They need songs written For Celine like Linda Perry did for her (My Love). Not copy-paste unknown hits and hoping Celine would make a Smash worldwide hit of it

It's cheaper and faster yes but also unpersonal and to me Celine is not an anonymous French Canadian girl doing covers to bild her own career.

I mean 'cmon She is Celine Dion - over 30yrs career, +200mio albums seller, working with Pavarotti, Adams, Streisand, MJ, Prince,G. Martin, C. King, J.J.G., D. Foster etc

She has some status.

 

And yes Javito us seem to have the same perspective on Celine's career problems-bad decisions.

(some will say constant complaints but I guess we all are here on this forum for a reason - we care about Celine because she means something to us)

We clearly agree with each other eh? I have to say that I completely subscribe your post, those are my feelings since years, and I feel helpless seeing how she records AMAZING original songs and yet she neglects them all the time in favour of these random (and many times incredibly boring) covers, which do her no favours other than handing the critics to her on a plate

 

It's harsh to say it, but I agree Céline and René got also a slap in their face somehow with this episode, and if they were not to think for a while what they're doing covering one song after the other both in her albums and in her concerts (but especially in the last one), this incident will be totally useless. That DM takes the worst part in this story of course, but I really hope Céline and René are learning a lesson here too about what they're insistently doing time after time.

 

There's more you can do in music beyond singing others songs, and I'm not saying Céline has to take the pen and write a full album with her hands. There's a half-way point. A pretty decent one, in which she has also enjoyed great success

Well, everybody's saying he is looking for publicity, me included, and look how this has blown up. I know we have all written nasty things about him, but he HAS now in fact gotten himself publicity by the way everyone is carrying on. I know we are doing this because we love Celine, but to me he has got what he wanted, ATTENTION. I know it is difficult, but i wish it could just stop. The album might now be postponed again till who knows when, all of this is just adding fuel to the fire. Celine does not deserve this, and let the management sort out whatever needs to be done. I feel sorry for Celine. Please, i'm not fedup with anyone, just the situation that this is now in. I'm done with this now. Anyway, am still looking forward to the album, whenever it comes out, and whatever songs are on it.
