Second single: "Incredible" - Duet with Ne-Yo

yeah i agree w/ u all, celine really does need to add a few more songs from the lmbtl album, maybe the lmbtl song didnt work out too great, but there are a few other great songs that could work for the show:

 

-water & a flame

-didnt know love

-breakaway

-unfinished songs

-somebody loves somebody

-thank you

-thankful

-always be your girl

 

now i do realize that she wont & cant add all of them unless she ended up revamping the whole show to add all of those songs, but if she added just a few more lmbtl songs, especially the ones that would fit nicely w/ the other songs already in the show, IT WOULD WORK WONDERS FOR THE LMBTL ALBUM, MAYBE MORE OF THE PEOPLE WHO SEE HER SHOW WOULD BUY IT AFTER HER SHOW @ THE STORE THEN HELPING TO BRING MUCH-NEEDED LIFE INTO THE ALBUM THAT IT REALLY DESERVES (& YES THE PUN IS INTENDED LOL!!!!!!!!)

Another reason (at least from my point of view) why she should keep adding songs from the new album is the new poster. It's the cover picture! So people will associate the show with the new album. They'll probably get a bit disappointed if they arrive at the show and see that only one song from the album is performed at the show.

 

I think the least they could do would be to re-add the title track now that they're also singing Incredible. The logical thing would be to include the following songs in the show:

 

· Loved Me Back To Life. It's the first single and tittle track of the album! For God's shake, she performed this song on almost every TV show she stopped in back in late 2013 to promote the record in the US and then, after a couple of months, they cut it off.

 

· Somebody Loves Somebody. Even though this one wasn't released as a single, she sang it twice on american TV during the album promo and then nothing for the show... I remember René saying they were planning to add this one, the tittle track and WAAF to the show in an interview with 'Le Journal De Montreal'. Still waiting for that...

 

· Incredible. Ok, I have to admit that they took the right decision by including this one in the show recently. In my opinion, Barnev sounds really good in this song and Celine is delivering some stunning vocal performances!

 

· Water and a Flame. Although this one was recently released as a radio single in the UK, she also sang this song twice during american promo (and during the 'Sans Attendre Tour' in Belgium and France). She also seems to enjoy herself when she is singing this one, so I have no idea why she doesn't include this one on the show, like René said soo long ago.

 

The rest, well... We have Overjoyed, At Seventeen, How Do You Keep The Music Playing, Lullabye and Open Arms. lol

I think LMBTL (the song) didn't fit too well in her Vegas show. Probably a good decision to get rid of it.

An it was indeed a good call to add Incredible. And hopefully they will add WAAF (as she sings it flawlessly) and SLS. Breakaway is too difficult live.

Oh yes and on all the promo posters around vegas at the airport and in magazines it had the new celine pic from lmbtl album and at the bottom there was a tiny photo of the album that says new album available now! They are promoting here. Wonder how many albums they sell in the store?

I really want to know where the physical proof is that the pitch for "Breakaway" was altered...It's a difficult live song for sure, but I'm pretty sure she could handle it in the studio

I wish they had just released Breakaway in the key she actually recorded the song in, it would still be vocally impressive, but most of all it would be a genuine representation of Celine. Pitching her vocals is making people believe she is capable of something she isn't, it gives people a false sense of reality. In many ways, I think it's worse than lipsyncing in concert. At least with her playbacks, Celine records a genuine vocal performance rather than something which has been edited to be something different.

I thought that too when we heard the news about Rene. It's quite possible thats why it was removed.

Could be I wonder that too. I felt there were a couple of times two nights ago when I saw her she sounded emotional in a few places both singing and during talking places. She said something like especially now I count my blessings and the way she sang the end of goonight my angel.

I'm pretty sure the verses were recorded in the proper key, but all the choruses were recorded in a lower key. If she could have done it all in the original key, she would have done it. Of course, none of the notes are out of Celine's range, but it's quite possible that Celine couldn't sustain the high choruses with the power needed. She hasn't really had a song with such long and sustained high parts since recording LTAL.

I doubt she will do much, if any, promo during this break, because she will want to focus on Rene. It looks like she's fulfilling the commitments she made previously, to do her shows, but she's not doing anything beyond that, so she can spend time with her family. And I think that's the best thing for her right now.
