The review wasn't that awful.

 

The song's lyrics ARE a pile of poop, it basically IS just a song filled with the chorus over and over. BUT, I still LOVE it.

Hey guys u need to learn to accept some unbiased criticism!

 

I found the article quite accurate and not entirely negative.

 

I agree that it's not an entirely negative review, but the author got the title of the song wrong (called it "Inspiration") AND the lyrics wrong (Celine doesn't sing "Single Single Single" -- she sings "Sing on". .and so does Ne-Yo). Basic mistakes like that in a snidely written article pretty much rob the author of all credbility.

I finally just now got to see the entire video and all I can think of is that the people wearing the animal masks at the beginning of the video remind me of when Celine wore the bunny mask in the V magazine shoot!! I like the parts of the video with Celine, Ne-yo and the giraffe a lot though.

I strongly disagree. It is because of Annie that she's looking beautiful than ever before.

 

Could she have been styled better? Yes, but she has worn worse.

Also, we have to remember that Celine was not in the best during this period because of Rene's sickness.

 

But the video editor did a nice job by editing her out in most frames and focusing on other details instead.

Always the same jackets, tight pants...

Well, Celine has never been and will never be a fashion icon but she has had the same style for too long, now. It is a little bit boring.

Couldn't disagree more. Celine Dion has always looked gorgeous, mainly thanks to Annie Horth. Just look at what happened when she stopped working with her (2000 - 2006). Her looks were just a mess during the promo for 'A New Day Has Come' and the first years of 'A New Day...' in Vegas. Then suddenly, Annie came back and Celine started to become the "fashion icon" (if I may say) that she is today.

 

I strongly doubt that things like the iconic Alix Malka photoshoot would have ever been so gorgeous if it hadn't been for Annie's input.

 

Just take a look at the latest photo for 'People' magazine. Annie confirmed on Twitter that she did not work on this small project, and it shows! I mean too much make-up, the dress (which is fine, but in my opinion doesn't really fit the rest of her look)...

Yes, I mostly agree with you (I would have to go back and look at pictures from the promo of AND before I could say I 100% agree :))

 

I think people often confuse "fashion" with "style." I think fashion is beautiful. Fashion is art, in every sense of the word. Style is more related to the individual. If a person has a sense of style, they do not have to follow fashion trends. A person just stays true to who they are. Pants and a jacket are not boring choices, on the contrary, that look is most often considered classic. Also, she has also said in interviews that in public she often dresses down so that she looks more approachable, but she has a different style at home. What is more approachable than pants and a jacket? Anyone can create that look. Her version is just higher quality than the average person can create :)

 

The fact she does not change her style every month to follow the trends relates more to the fact that she has a sense of herself and does not need to be told what to do. I think if you have no idea who you are and what works for you, then follow every trend and try things out. Or even if you know what style works for you, then you could follow trends just for the fun of it. But, I do not think it is boring if a person does not change their look all of the time, especially when they have created a style that is stable and associated with them.

I think Celine Dion has a great sense of style. Her costumes for her show are beautiful. Of what I can recall, the last few years at red carpet events her dresses have been amazing. I liked her look in the music video. Also, I liked the new photo shoot. It looked fun, and she looked great. It was a photo shoot for Vegas, it's supposed to be over the top!

Her style is fine. isnt her music more important than her style? To me it is. I am more interested with her having great vocals then wearing a specific gown. I mean i know the industry focuses on ones fashion choices but at the end of it all her style is not that important. Edited by Prima_Donna1

I wouldn't say too long... The whole jacket, tight pants thing has been used for the LMBTL era. It's not even a year and during this period we've seen her in different outfits.
