I didn't really like the trailer. In fact, I don't even consider it a trailer, it's just a compilation of extracts from the show. (Speech + Destin + Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour? + Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore)..

I don't think much has been changed from the TV broadcast version. I wonder if all the camera angles are the same?

 

I know the SLP DVD used slightly different angles from the TV broadcast, but then again the broadcast was live and so they couldn't make it absolutely perfect until afterwards. With USF, the TV broadcast wasn't until several weeks after the show took place, so they had all the time to do the editing (and auto-tuning) then. I doubt they would go to the trouble of re-editing everything for the DVD when they have already done all the work. The only real work that has to be done for this release is the audio mix for the live CDs...

A trailer? Are they having a laugh? NO mention of when the thing is released! NO mention of what formats it is released on. NO mention of any extra bonus features! And to top it all the "trailer" is a random mish mash of 3 songs and (incredibly) a speech! To add insult to injury it really whets the appetite for the release by just abruptly cutting off at the end. Bravo Sony!

 

Honestly I could've done better on Windows Movie Maker!!!

You're absolutely right, I was quite surprised there was no voice over or text giving details of the actual release!

Seriously I hope they don't f*** up too much with this release...

 

And it's about time we should see some (at least) english subtitles for the french release please SONY/or f****** anybody in charge of this.

We're in 2014 for god's sake and we are talking about SONY second major record label worldwide... :innocent: :wacko: :wacko:

Can you imagine going to the cinema and watching a trailer for a new movie and it was done in the style that Sony have released for Celine's "trailer"??

 

No of course not!

 

The whole point of a trailer is to get the public interested in a product and let them know more about it. The particularly important features of a trailer include a RELEASE DATE, WHERE YOU CAN SEE OR BUY THE PRODUCT and WHAT FORMATS YOU CAN PURCHASE IT ON!

 

This is basic stuff Sony. Come on!!!!

He took loads of photos of her on-stage in Paris, it would be great to get a book like Autour du monde...

That would be great, if we could get another book. It's time again for a decent one. Maybe one with pics from Quebec concert last year, and the Paris concert combined. That would be nice, I think.

If you have an apple device you can download an app called Mctube. You can watch it (click it multiple times if it won't work the first time) and you can download it to folder within the app and watch it :)

For illustration purposes only I've chucked together this video to show how a trailer should contain vital information important to the release it's meant to be advertising. I've done it using the "X Factor" style and I've used my own footage I recorded in Paris. (Just try to imagine HD Quebec footage lol)

Damn! The video's not available in the US

 

I know -- it's so crazy! I can understand not releasing a French-language DVD in the US -- but not letting us see an *ad* for it -- when the ad might spur us to spend our money and buy it and get it shipped to us? Not cool!

The CD tracklisting on Amazon.fr has changed slightly. What is interesting is that on the second disc, they have the 4 bonus tracks listed with "(live at bercy, 2013)" after each one, but then they repeat Ziggy, WAAF & RM, meaning there are 3 extra tracks listed (15 songs on Disc 2). Could this mean that they have changed their minds and have now included 7 bonus tracks from Paris???

 

We will have to wait and see!! :whee:

I think it's more likely that they include the studio versions of those songs. I don't think we'll be getting more songs from Bercy although "Immensité" would be great!.. and maybe crown the tracklist with JNVOP

I thought the trailer was good all except for the speech. The trailer showed some songs which I thought worked. That's just my thought. :)
