The problem for Sony with Unfinished Song is that the movie is released at different times in different countries.It's not simple to launch a new Céline album with a movie song... if the movie isn't out!! But BYLM was helped a lot (at least in North America) with major TV commercials for the movie - and the song was as prominent as Michele Pfieffer and Robert Redford were in the tv ads. 1 Quote

They won't include a certain song on a soundtrack if they want to include it on another CD to make it sell more. They probably would have thought it would have hurt the Titanic and LTAL sales, but in fact it wouldn't have, as the albums had sold a lot in Dec-Jan-Feb, and the single was released in March!
