"Parler à mon père" - New French single!

Last night I heard PAMP on one of the biggest radio stations here in Sweden. Was mighty surprised. They rarely play Céline anymore, and when they do it's MHWGO, IA, ANDHC, IDAN, ABM, BYLM (and during the TC era TC and A a few times). The only French songs they're playing are PQTME and SLV. And yea they play her English work more often, but still not that often.

 

It sounded OK on the radio. It's always nice to hear her on radio. Even nicer when it's something current.

 

BTW, this proves that this single has been sent to Swedish radio, which I kind of doubted.

 

And yes, it's sad we don't seem to get a cartoon video for this song. That would had been really nice, and perhaps too logical.

Yesterday, PAMP was played in the biggest Greek radio station, I had told you the song is radio friendly!

 

It's about time the Video clip is released + the song is performed live, so that it gets better chart positions.

The song is still quite strong in Québec, not as strong as it used to be but it's still popular. I think that releasing a video clip would just be good for it since it would create more interest for it. Just my opinion.

Was it really an extended version of PAMP? I mean, I've been listening to the same radio station all the afternoon / evening (they're great supporters of Celine's French career ) and strangely I didn't notice that.

Celine's team announced that, they will publish music video a few weeks later from lyric video. we're still waiting for more than 1 month. maybe next week, ha?

Celine's official site announced we're getting an offical video for PAMP. I think we'll get it next week, because he new English single is dropping mid-september and they're not going to release that and the new video at the same time, or too close together.

 

PAMP has been hovering between the 60's -70 positon on iTunes Top 200 songs in France. Hoping with new video she'll crack the Top 40 downloads. When it was first released she hit top twenty downloads but has since been steady in the top 100, but not very high.

I don't know if other Polish fans would agree with me but I sometimes have a feeling that here in Poland Celine is one of the very few artists singing in French that gets radio airplay nowadays (of course when it comes to major commercial radio stations)

But we really don't need a video. This song is old news even for fans.

 

I say: try to redo/cut out the parts where she's lipping to the song in the video and use the video for the next song instead.

The song is isn't over yet! It's just started to rise again in the French iTunes chart (now back in the top 50).....it's less than 2 months since the singles been out...A video will give it a boost.

 

The album is not out until November 5th.....they'll no doubt release a second french single in October. Plus, we're getting a PAMP Video. I dont know how many times that has to be repeated.
