A 2 year world tour!!!!!Oh my giddy aunt!! :kicking:  I'm going to tour Europf with her this time. Have tent, will travel!

My giddy aunt? Is that an Irish/British saying? lOL I love it.

I think we should get back on topic before the mods do it for us, but I will say yay a world tour. I hope she goes back to countries she said she would or has never been to befor. But...feel better, Celine.

Where are the mods? Why isnt there a topic for this tour news? I guess they arnt on the forum right now, i did create a topic a while ago today, and it still hasn't been added to the topic list. I don't know if others have also created a topic.

Im happy right now guys, i hope you all are too!

I think it's a very strange time to announce a 2 year tour, when Celine is on vocal rest. I know Celine will probably get back to her 100% vocals, but i don't think Rene needs to put that pressure on her. Celine's not even recovered yet and Rene's talking about doing a tour.

I don't know why he is focused on a project that is a few years in the future, when he should be focusing his time on the projects that are happening right now. The English and French albums. First and most important though is his wifes health.

Does anyone know if Celine is in Los Angeles yet? I hope we get info soon!

The fact that she is on vocal rest is probably the reason this info has come out, she isnt going to just lie around all day, she has a massive work ethic. This time where she isnt performing is where both Celine and Rene have time to think about projects

It's probably the only time Celine has allowed "business talk" lol.

I know it must be very hard for Celine right now, not being able to talk. We all know how much she loves to talk. I can see why she is planning ahead. It gives her something to look foward to. I know she is a very hard working and focused person. I don't know why i was surprized about this whole 2 year tour thing. It's just that i'm worried about Celine's voice right now and the timing of this announcement was a bit strange.

I really hope we get info soon. I wonder if she has seen her doctor yet. I know she has a checkup today.

I see both sides. I am concerned about her voice too, Katt, I hear you. Funny stuff this being the only time she lets there be business talk, LOL and yes she loves to talk. But on the flip side, I think her health should be #1. And that should come first. so should the albums. But I am still soooooooooooo excited now!!!

Poor Celine thinks that her fans blame her for being sick :(

It broke my heart when she was like "I hope my fans can forgive me"

I'm glad she's doing better.

But damn, she must have been really ill if she couldn't EVEN speak! Poor Celine! Nearly there, sweetie!

As Bubba said to me the other day on the phone there is NO WAY she is NOT talking to those twins. She would never go without talking to them. Not gonna happen. For a woman who is crazy over her kids, there's no way she'll not talk to them. I think we all know how well she loves to talk anyway and how for lack of a better term, how head over heels she is for her kids I'd say she's broken this no talking rule lol. Edited by Belle Céline

You do have a very good point there Amanda. She's probably only talking to them. I'm sure that she can't resist talking to them!

Has Rene said anything about how Celine's visit with the doctor went? I'm really anxious to hear what her doctor has to say about her progress.

I'm seeing Celine's show in June, but i'm not going to book my flight until i know if she is better. I'm even thinking of driving there with my family. All the way from Wasaga Beach Ontario!!

Ouch- from one dude n the Caesars Celine Facebook Feed:

''Miss Dion, you sing for about an hour and a half four nights a week on select months during the year and make many millions of dollars just from those performances alone and you cancel months of sold out performances disappointing thousands of fans. I work with great singers on a daily basis that work ten times harder than you because they want to please their fans no matter what is going on with their health. And believe me when I tell you they make a pennies compared to what you make and are probably higher in the charts right now! Having the luxury to cancel months of shows doesn't mean you should just because your vocal cords are a little inflamed which is all it is according to your producer who you were 'recording' with last night! <Yes, spoke with him this morning>. If you are well enough to work in the studio you should be on stage. Sorry for sounding heartless but my message to you Celine is honor you commitments first to your fans who travel from all over the world to see you and then to Ceasars show room. If that means cutting back from six months a year to three or simply retiring then that's what you should do. You disappointed someone very close to me who is your biggest fan and I'm sure many more are upset. You track record for canceling shows is starting to catch up with you.''

That's a bit harsh.

I almost wonder why they didn't just use live recordings for the other songs and just have her lip to those. Not that I like the whole lipping thing, but I'd rather her do that then cancel once people are already in the venue a half hour before the show.

What an uneducated idiot. I don't know if I can handle another post of someone comparing Celine to other performers. I wonder how old the performers are that he's referring to.. 20s? 30s? Whom probably have NEVER performed a tour in their life. It's outrageous to say she's selfish for cancelling shows. Also, someone should probably inform this moron that she didn't cancel MONTHS of shows. Most of it was a scheduled break. I can't believe I even gave him the time of day with a response.  -_-

That can't be true right? Celine couldn't have recorded in the studio last night. She can't even really talk let alone sing. That doesn't even make any sense. This person doesn't even know what he's talking about. He is so rude. How dare he say those things about Celine. She's on voice rest. What's she going to do, sing until she bleeds. What a jerk. :angry2:

I can understand the frustration but she didn't cancel "months of shows." Its not quite that drastic. Yes, of course thousands of people are disappointed now, but what can he expect? If a singer has a problem with her voice, it's simply not realistic to risk doing damage to it just to fulfill obligations. Would all those fans really have been happier shelling out hundreds to hear her try and croak through her shows all the while making things worse? I doubt it. You wouldn't expect an athlete to run a marathon with a sprained ankle, right? We have to be realistic here. She's had a career for more than 25 years and this is not something she is known for. Shes put in her time and paid her dues by now.

That was a punch in the stomach to hear. That breaks my heart in two. I am also tired of posts comparing her to other people. It is actually quite selfless of her to take care of her voice. If she kept on, she would do more damage, possibly even ruin it permanently. How happy would that jack #ss would have been?

Retire? f*** no. No no no no no no no. She can't. Not yet. So many of us are not even close to ready to lose her. She's not ready yetr. She's still got so much left in her.

That makes me so mad I could scream, except that it's after midnight here and my roommates, one of whom is sleeping, would not appreciate that. f*** that a******. Those are people who call themselves fans and are not. You know what else I call retards like that? Vending machine fans. They only like her for what she can do for them, not the amazing, delightful, charming, wonderful, beautiful, powerful, incredible, sensational, dynamic, breath-taking singer she is, not to mention the kind, warm, compassionate human being that runs it all. We love you Celine, we're behind you, don't worry about people like them and don't listen to them. We won't if you wont!!!!

Fact of the matter is. I don't know what to believe. I sure as hell hope she was not recording and then cancelled. Her commitment should be her shows first because she sells half a million dollars worth of tickets for each show to people who fly thousands of miles (like myself) only to arrive and find out 45 minutes before showtime. We know she has an album to record; was she recording?--none of us will know.

I"ll tell you this, people around us, waiting to get into Casears knew about her album recording and one person even said "She probably isn't even here.......she's off recording some damn album." Now, before you all go ape crazy with that comment---I know it's fabricated and false. Of course Celine was in Vegas and apparantly back stage wanting to go on. But do we really know the whole story behind the cause of the inflamation of hte vocal cords or if she was trying to record songs and was while still battling laryngitis. I have no idea. All of you saying "this breaks my heart" or is so hard on her, I believe, is bull $$$. You think she dreads going back home with the twins? I'd venture to guess she'll get over it pretty quickly. This contract with Caesars is no doubt air tight. Why else on the back of the tickets does it says 'subject to cancellation.' She's got her $$$ she'll make up the shows.

From all the people whom I've told this story to, not one person agreed with the last minute cancelation on February 22. "Oh what, and you don't know you've got laryngitis until 45 minutes before show time? Ya, right" was the common respones. And no more excuses of "she wanted to go on so bad." Well guess what, if she did she should of. It was too damn late. As far as cancelling all these shows, I don't know. Like I said, the vibe in Vegas from several other box offices I spoke to said she was known for canceling 'easily.'

I have been the biggest Celine fan my entire life, always will be and will see this show again. Hopefully. But I"m not a dumb man. I doubt Celine is "heartbroken'' or distraught over this. At any rate, I hope a lesson is learned in dealing with events like this. I spent thousands of my own damn money on HER. And further communication should be made to the nonchalant type of demeanour displayed by Caesars staff when relaying news like this. Having usher on the stairs look down at you and say "Ya, well if she can't hit the big notes she doesnt sing." Nice. Real nice.

Robin Leach tweeted earlier that it'll be another 6 days before we get an update on Celine's visit to LA yesterday.

Don't understand why though.

I don't agree with that Facebook comment in the slightest. He wants her to "please her fans no matter what is going on with her health?" NO. Just no. Your own health should always be more important than other people. I feel that artists should put their own well-being first, then their family, then their fans. We're not the most important people in Céline's life. I know how much we want to be, but we're just not.

What a piece of sh*t!!! Her vocal cords are not just ''a little inflamed'' she has a laryngitis which is a serious vocal condition that could result in permanent vocal damage if not handled properly.

Funny cause he doesn't even mention the producer's name. This idiot is obviously a liar.

And no she didn't ''cancel months of shows'' she just canceled 3 weeks of shows (February 25, 2012 till March 18, 2012) for god's sake.
