What a piece of sh*t!!! Her vocal cords are not just ''a little inflamed'' she has a laryngitis which is a serious vocal condition that could result in permanent vocal damage if not handled properly.

I don't think it's fair to say Celine isn't distraught or upset about the cancellation just because she gets to go home to the twins and RC and Rene....sure that lessens the burden, but the last thing she wants to do is disappoint. She's cancelled before, and has even insisted on performing (rather than cancelling, like the night her Dad died) because she knows what it will cause... I genuinely believe Celine feels bad about cancelling.

And if Celine did record last night (we don't know for sure) well that's probably because her doctor told her she's okay to sing.

And obviously they won't say that the shows are on again... So she might be trying to record a few songs here and there.

First of all, that "Facebook guy" is truly clueless! Celine doesn't have "a track record" for cancelling shows! She hardly ever cancels. That guy needs to look at her whole career before he starts throwing darts and accusations!!! Celine had her reasons, and I know that she wouldn't cancel just because she wanted to go home to the twins. She does care about her fans and her commitments!

 

This is just an example of a person who just "put his foot in his mouth". He should be totally embarrassed about his judgement and his rude comments. If he really knew what was going on "behind the scenes", he would undoubtedly run and hide in a hole and never come out!

 

I'm just shaking my head at this person, and wishing that he had a more understanding heart. He evidently has some "anger issues", but they don't need to be directed towards Celine!!!

is this guy on something? if a singer doesn't look after their voice properly they will be in serious trouble. just look what happened to whitney. look at adele when she had a polyp on her vocal chord. she could tell the difference in the tone etc.

 

laryngitis is not something you take with a pinch of salt. i am not a singer but with my business, last year in july i got really busy and was talking non stop on the phone. within a week i had lost my voice due to laryngitis. now imagine celine who uses her vocal chords in a more vigorous way than that of just talking?

 

if she doesn't listen to the doctors and take care of her voice she will be in trouble soon.

I'd just like to say this: Celine said in an interview a while ago that she has lived her life from her neck up. To be honest, it's all about her neck and the contents therein. Admittedly, she chose the career and understood all that it entailed but I do feel bad that the moment she gets sick and has to cancel a couple of shows, she is crucified for it. It's like she can't breathe without people criticizing her for breathing wrong. She has/had an illness that is the source of her and her entire family's livelihood. It's the same with a surgeon and his/her hands. If s/he can't perform the surgery, you either postpone it until she can or you go to someone else. I understand about the 45 minute notice about the show. All we can do is accept Celine at her word that she is sorry and forgive her as she asked us to. As the poster mentioned above, the show is set, she will make money regardless, but I disagree with his statement that she is not devastated. How does anyone know how she feels outside of what she says? All we have is her word. Certainly it is an opportunity to spend time with her family, but what mother wouldn't? These are the most important years of her children's lives. I do for sorry for her. I can't imagine the pressure she is under right now, especially knowing that a lot of people were/are disappointed in the cancellations. I wonder how they will make it up.

I have been so worried about Celine and the news I have been reading on this forum Celines getting better.

I sure Celine will always have our full support what ever the situation occurs,I did read some of the messages some of the remarks what were coming up, well ! about Celine being poorly what a big fuss,she cant help it, she needs to get well and rest and Celine is only human like us all.i think its wrong that people even media should put such pressure on such talented person as Celine has done us all proud and always will the inspiration she gives exceeds no boundaries lets give her a break and let her recover in her own time and i sure she will be back on stage again for us all to see her amazing shows.

What a relief. This lifts uch a burden off me. I too have been so worried about her. This is wonderful news. I am now sick myself and know I will recover son but am sooooooo happy she i okay.
