I remember there being a rumour about 3 years ago she would be performing there or at another jazz festival, but it didn't happen.... Yeah she was supposedly scheduled to perform at the Tobago Jazz Festival back in 2010 ((I think)) but that got cancelled...which pissed me off but that's another story. The artists are usually there live and perform for close to an hour but the headline act is longer than that. I am not that thrilled THLAL is gonna be sung, but hey anything except the booring standards! So THAT WAS the reason why they named her singer/songwriter. And I who had hopes she'd do a new song she had written herself. I'm Alive is a must. The first time I heard it I thought of a sunny summer island with palm trees. I actually thought this was just a rumour just like the other Jazz festival a couple of years ago. But now it's official and with songs from Etta James, Dinah Washington and Billie Holliday on the new album the chances are great she'll perform some wonderful jazz classics!
