Céline to perform at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival

I looked up Ska music on youtube and i have to say i don't really care for it. I really hope Celine does not sing this style of music. Know disrespect to Jamaica and Ska lovers. I don't think that style of music is right for Celine.

 

I'm sure once i hear Celine sing Ska i will love it, cuz it's Celine!! I'm just really hoping for her to sing a song from her new album!!!

Really? It's actually one of only two songs on LTAL that I don't really care for (the other is I Hate You Then I Love You... I mean wth thought that track suited the album better than Is Nothing Sacred Anymore?). I do like the lyrics, just not the sound.

I agree with I hate you then I love you, I don´t like it much. But I like Treat her like a lady, because it´s not typical Céline´s song, it was something diffrent in her recording and I remember that this song was played by radiostations which never played Céline´s songs and maybe event like Jamaica Jazz festival is right place where to sing song like that .

On a side note, it is a given that she'll do MHWGO considering it's her biggest hit and is extensively popular there in the Caribbean islands. Let's just hope she'll do more than just that song. Maybe songs with new arrangements or at least, full-length of the songs she performs regularly.

Oh yes if she will sing new song it will be nice surprise, but I don´t think there´s a big chance for it, but I hope she will sing something more than her "best of" songs.

This is her first performance ever in Jamaica, Rene will want to ensure she blows the crowd away, and in order to do this he will rely on the hits that made her a star. I have no problems with that, let the people of Jamaica hear the standards that we always hear. But I really hope she will promote any new material.

i think it is very safe to say that because you loved me will be on the list, the power of love, all by myself and mhwgo, and maybe also it's all coming back - and that's it. It will be these hits I think. nothing spectacular but let's hope she does soms new stuff too

however, there is something interesting, when I look at mainstage, and look on the date Celine performs in the Greenfield Stadium, she and Nicole Henry are the only mentioned on Friday, January 27th. So it may be very well she is gonna do a full setlist! ( I assume)
