Changes to the show?

I absolutely loved the medley of her first songs in "Au coeur du stade", because she and her backgroung vocals and guitars/accordeon were sitting together in a circle.

I imagine her doing the same kind of medley, but piano/voice as described in the posts above, just she and Mego.

Imagine, she could even sit on the piano (she does it sometimes!) or stand next to it, and sing the following:

- A song for you

- Nature boy

- OSAAC / AC

- Didn't know love

- I remember LA

I'm searching for songs from different albums that we barely hear live.

That would be amazing IMO

While I'm not a big fan of medleys, I'll play along. If I were to help in choosing the songs for something like this, I would have two separate themes Celine could choose from, love and heartache (both in English). The following songs are what I would choose for the two themes:

Love Medley

"Next Plane Out"

"I Know What Love Is"

"Have You Ever Been In Love"

"A Song For You"

Heartache Medley

"Nothing Broken But My Heart"

"Just Walk Away"

"Have A Heart"

"Us"

While I'm not a big fan of medleys, I'll play along. If I were to help in choosing the songs for something like this, I would have two separate themes Celine could choose from, love and heartache (both in English). The following songs are what I would choose for the two themes:

Love Medley

Heartache Medley
"Nothing Broken But My Heart"
"Just Walk Away"

What about Breakaway in the heartache medley? It seems to fit that with "...all I am is empty heartache...".

Perhaps, but not if I was thinking of the song being performed in full in a more grandiose way somewhere else in the show.

I wonder why they didn't release the making of Breakaway since we know it was recorded. Did you notice that her hairstyle is the same in this video as in the making of video for Loved me back to life? She even wears the same ear ring

In thinking of ways to "freshen" or "liven" the show again- what if she put I'm Alive before LCMM/RDMH. She could do the "mhmm" hum thing then launch into the TC tour remix. Then they could fade into LCMM at the end: "I'm alive, we're alive, yeah yeah, we're alive!... Faith. Love. Trust..." Just a thought.

I may be in the miniority but I like the LCMM/RDMH ending. Now, MHWGO would be interesting first like Céline thought.

Even doing that would make it different! I'm all for opening with mhwgo. Then I personally would have lcmm/rdmh (if they were keeping that) and then have Immortality as the encore.

That's always an option! I like breakaway maybe as the encore. With her singing for over an hour prior, maybe it'd have to be lowered a semi key or something.

We all know MHWGO will always be encore for English. It is written in the stars.... :giggle: I would love to hear more French but this is Vegas we are talking about so that ain't going to happen... :down:

What about Celine covering Let It Go? Massive song right now. Could do it before or after BATB.

I'd love to hear Celine sing Let it Go. It's a very classic Celine-style power ballad; amazing song.

One thing I would love to see Celine do is a piano medley, just her and Mego.

Whenever Celine returns (it seems that later than we thought), she shouldn't come back with the same show (although I wish we had a dvd from it). Coming back from a loooooooong break (at least a year/ year and a half) with the show created in 2011 would be the biggest mistake of her career.

Dancers? I don't know how I think/feel about that on the current stage. But I do agree about the visuals.

She has said she likes the feel of this current show as compared to AND. I have to say I preferred "Celine" better also, too much extra going on in the background with AND.I don't think they would go back to dancers and such. And yes, if they were to continue the current show as is then I think that would be suicide.......however, what do I know, lol! :giggle:

I don't think she should add dancers either. She has her band and the orchestra, that's enough. The recent Europe shows didn't need dancers either.... they just need to make a solid show again. "Celine" was a solid show when it started, but with all the cut and paste they did, it's just a mess right now! They should look at the French shows and turn that into a solid English one!

If they do add dancers it shouldn't be as many as AND. TCWT was awesome and I think there were only 6 dancers for the tour? At any rate, if they do add them they definitely don't need as many.

I do agree they need to revamp the show when she returns. I'd love a similar format as what Mariah just announced. Maybe not all # 1's but hits, fan faves and maybe some rare songs or songs never performed live.

I wouldn't want dancers etc. Definitely more visuals, definitely less random covers, and more Celine songs included. Thumbs up to a stripped down (either just piano, or just guitar per song) section. AND was brilliant, the first of its kind, but she's done that. I loved AND but there was so much going on, you never knew where to look. You'd miss things. She should continue to focus on her voice, her songs, her history, her legacy, do what she's known for. The show doesn't need scrapping, just reworking. Let's hope they do this while she's off. They have the time, and Celine wouldn't need much involvement, just a yay or a nay from her.

Love these ideas! I think we need more songs like "If I Could", "My Love" and "At 17", where she sits down and just sings. Somehow, I kinda like that a lot, just about her and the song.

There's a lot of her songs they could perform that way. Even songs you wouldn't associate with that kind of performance. Such potential!
