Yep they wouldn't. But yeah, hard core fans and even some casual fans will know LMBTL. Then she could go "this is the very first song I recorded in English blah". I'm fine with the first costumes setlist. Shows her hits

I don't think covers are an issue. I enjoy when an artist does a few covers. Key word, A FEW. Celine's current Vegas show has way too many for her catalog of material

omg i agree w/ you 100% about that when it comes to celines show!!!! only a few covers should be in celines show, not almost the whole entire show!!!! i mean its not like celine is a new singer who hasnt recorded alot of songs in her career yet, but in our dear celines case, that couldnt be more farther from the truth!!!! doing too many covers like celine is now is slowly killing the show, thats why this current show isnt doing as great as her previous show "a new day" did, & if she doesnt start making some changes to it in the future, no way in heck will it make it another year or 2, much less to the year 2019!!!! & she just released a new album that i thought she said in interviews that she wanted to perform some of the songs from lmbtl, but shes so far only performing "incredible" these days & she got rid of "loved me back to life" after only performing it a few times!!!! what about the rest of that wonderful album, & about her many other wonderful albums from the last 25 years that shes recorded in english!!!!

 

 

i dont know if celines heart isnt in it anymore, or that stupid sony or the shows director & producers dont want celine to perform more of her own songs, but its really sad that her "big major comeback" we fans have been waiting for several years has become a very sad joke!!!! now it feels like her lmbtl album has never even existed & that everyone in the world, including celine, sony, & her shows producers & directors, have forgotten about lmbtl & have decided to abandoned it!!!! in fact, us fans on this forum are the only ones who are still caring about & acknowledging the existence & beauty of the lmbtl album these days!!!! what the hell is happening to celines career, to me its become totally f*cked up now... & yes i know she has kids now, but that doesnt mean that she should kill her career or just keep letting sony & her team kill her career in this way... because lots of people, including myself, have kids & we all still keep doing what we got to do every single day... i hope that she is doing okay, because to me it just seems like she isnt 100% mentally & emotionally involved in it all & this show in vegas is major proof of that!!!!

I'm dying to hear somebody loves somebody added in this show. Would be such a fun up tempo song and would sound so cool with the orchestra. I could see it going where Rollin in the deep was. Also personally ballad wise would love to hear thankful or always be your girl live. Those ballads are stunning to me and I think they'd be incredible love. Didn't dana parish the writer of those say back in an interview she was told that they planned on eventually incorporating those two songs into the vegas show? Dare I get my hopes up? I will be there the 10th for the summer run opening and am so anxious to see if there's a few changes!

Does anyone else severely dislike that corded microphone she seems to only use now?! Lol. I mean at the end of the day it's her voice we wanna hear but I think seeing that giant cord everywhere and hanging down is so ugly! I wonder what the reason is? Maybe she likes the sound of it best? Surely there is a microphone that can have the same sound but wireless...do you think she just likes it cuz it gives her slmething extra to play with and do? I wonder why the change after using the wireless handheld sennheiser mic since a new day

Agreed! I was just at the Cher concert last week and her monologue was entertaining and she doesn't sound like a robot. They need to switch it up a bit.

 

Then I think about how Ken Ehrlich hasn't changed the stage and set of the Grammys in like five years, so we shouldn't be surprised...

Wasn't the rumor that Always Be Your Girl, WAAF, and one more from LMBTL would be added to the show? I remember Rene gave an interview and then also the writer of Always Be Your Girl gave an interview (or at least answered fan questions). I think I even posted about it once, but I cannot remember the details now.

 

We know a few things: (1) she cannot cut MHWGO. I remember her saying once she wanted to open with it, but was told no. It would work great as an open with the curtain drop. I hope she gets her way, but I understand them saving it though. So many people, sadly, go just for that song. So, opening with it may backfire; (2) she will not cut Because You Loved Me. It's too well known. Her fans may be tired of it, but a person just catching a show in Vegas will expect to hear it and; (3) She has to do costume changes, so even if Spinning Wheel is cut, there will be something else for Barnev to sing. I doubt they would replace Barnev with a video.

 

I doubt they cut Overjoyed, At Seventeen, or HDYKTMP. They are all on LMBTL.

 

I wish she would cut Lullaby and add La mer et l'enfant.

 

I wonder if she will swap out Ne me quitte pas for a different song from Sans Attendre? I remember her saying, way back with Au Coeur Du Stade, Rene wanted her to sing No me quitte pas. So, now that she is finally singing it, I wonder if/when she would ever cut it from the show.

Yes I hate it lol. BUT...Céline loves that corded Shure mic. She used that one in her '90's and she always loved [the sound of] it the most. For the promotion of LMBTL they switched back to Shure, which gives her voice a "less crystal clear" sound, which reconnected Céline with her old love again... And corded mics still is the most stable way and given that Céline has had a few "missteps" with cordless mics.... She does use the cordless version of the Shure in some songs in her Vegas show for practical reasons.

 

But the thing is ugly lol and way too common (a LOT of artists use it)... she should revert back to her Neumann/Sennheiser combo.

hey im now wondering if she is rehearsing for the show now that she is back in vegas... even though i cant afford to go to vegas anytime soon, but i really hope that celine will make @ least a few changes to the show so that not only will those of you who will be going to vegas will enjoy it even more, but maybe hopefully it will give celine some inspiration & strength to keep performing for a couple of more years & maybe hopefully release @ least one more new album before shes retired for good... because i think that she has lost some of her strength & inspiration because of rene having cancer again & the failure of her lmbtl album which i think is still a great album that shouldnt have been abandoned by the world & sony like it was...

 

 

i really hope that there are some more upbeat songs in this show just like her first vegas show had, & they should be spread out throughout the show & put them in between the ballads to keep the audience energizied & interested... i dont know why the director & producers of this show are only catering to the elderly over 60-year-old fans but not to her younger fans, everyone else who is under 60 lol... now im not trying to insult anybody whose older on here, please dont take this as offensive because im really not being offensive... but what about all of the younger than 60-years-old fans who also go to celines vegas shows, such as most of you in this forum who are obviously under 60 years old who go to her vegas shows since it first started???? i mean several years from now most of the elderly fans wont be around by then& it will be the younger fans & the middle aged fans who will still be going to concerts... yes that does sound a bit morbid & scary, but its the truth, none of us will be living forever of course, & its the current & future generations who will be carrying on the torch of life, so the younger & middle-aged fans should be catered to as well, now im not saying that the elderly fans arent important @ all, because yes they still are important, but the younger & middle-aged fans are important too & are also the ones going to the concerts & buying her albums, so they shouldnt be forgotten about @ all!!! not all of you might agree w/ me, but that is my opinion!!!! i just hope that there will be a little more upbeat songs & energy so that this will keep going for a couple of more years & do alot better than it has been these days... there is way too much competition in vegas these days, & celines show could easily be placed by another singer or entertainer who would be more entertaining & profitable according to caesars because lots of others singers & entertainers are now flocking to vegas to start their residencies just like celine has...

She could be behind the curtain and do the whole "mmmm mmmm mmm I got wings to fly, I'm alive" thing. On the note in the "alive" the curtain could drop revealing her and the orchestra!
