That was rude. It's actually a good song, good lyrics... Not being at #1 doesn't make it a flop 'cause if this was true then many Celine songs would have been flops, too.

This song failed to charts in several countries and didn't even manage to make the Top 50 in the countries where it ''managed'' to charts. You're clearly living in the delusions if you think it was a success.

Japan (Japan Hot 100) #89

South Korea (Gaon Chart) #72

UK Singles (Official Charts Company) #81

The biggest problem right is that Celine doesn't care at all about music anymore and it shows. She enjoys performing so she does the Vegas show, but I don't see any interest at all from her to put out new, fresh, exciting music anymore. Any album she does is just an obligation to her record company and we shouldn't expect anything more than just a collection of new Celine songs on record. We shouldn't expect top producers, and top production, and anything remotely relevent to today's music until she starts to take a bigger interest. Her life for the last 10 years has just become about being a mother and doing concerts. All her interviews focus on her home life, there is nothing interesting about her music career and she never discusses it. We are expecting too much at this stage I think. Until she starts to show some interest and a spark, we'll just get the same old stuff from her and we shouldn't expect anything more if you ask me. It only results in mass disappointment.

+1!

That's a good summary of what has been her career in the past 8 years. Truth hurts indeed :ermm:

I guess that's how Redone met Celine... So the collaboration might be true.

RedOne - RedOne Productions

Multi-Grammy-winning producer RedOne is one of the hottest producers in popular music today. RedOne was named both "Producer Of The Year" and "#1 Songwriter" by Billboard Magazine in 2010. In the same year, he also picked up two Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording for "Poker Face" (Lady Gaga) and Best Electronic/Dance Album for "The Fame" (Lady Gaga). The smash singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" achieved #1 status in 30 different countries including the US and the UK and sold over 10 millions downloads. Making Lady Gaga the first artist in history to have 2 consecutive #1 singles off of a debut album. The follow up singles "Bad Romance" and "Alejandro" both produced and co-written by RedOne, achieved similar success cementing Lady Gaga's place in history and selling over 40 millions downloads worldwide.

This only solidified RedOne's presence as a powerhouse producer for many artists in many different genre of pop music. Artists like Akon, Enrique Iglesias, Mary J. Blige, Sean Kingston, The Backstreet Boys, Ciara, Alexandra Burke, New Kids On The Block, Sugababes and Kat DeLuna to name a few, all benefited from RedOne's visionary and revolutionary sound. RedOne was also the producer behind the contemporary philanthropic anthem We Are The World: Haiti 25 featuring some of the world’s biggest stars such as Kanye West, Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, Janet Jackson, Usher, Lionel Richie, Mary J. Blige, Barbra Streisand, The Jonas Brothers, Snoop Dogg, Toni Braxton, Lil Wayne, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Pink, Jamie Foxx, Enrique Iglesias, Josh Groban, Will.I.Am, Jennifer Hudson, T-Pain, and Justin Bieber amongst others. RedOne was personally requested by Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie.

René said she will start voice exercises in two weeks so it could be now but about recording he said she will start recording in mid april so I think she will start recording maybe next week.

Rene exclusively announced to Etalk, that Celine will start recording in two weeks. He gave that info, just over two weeks ago, so we should be hearing something any day now!!

On april 11th, i had a strong feeling that Celine was in the recording studio, on that day. I think it's kinda cool that i just got back from a week's trip to Toronto, i didn't have any access to a computer and i come back to find news that was posted on April 11th, saying that Celine is corrently working with RedOne.

I don't know guys. I have a feeling that Celine has already starting recording yesterday, but we just don't know about it yet. :hmm: This whole album has been very hush, hush so the recording of the album might be that way aswell.

I think that the rumour of Celine working with RedOne could be true, given the day it was announced. It's been just over 2 weeks that Rene said, Celine would be recording in 2 week's time, so there's a very good chance that this might be true and there's also a very good chance that Celine could already have started recording!!

Time will tell. Fingers crossed!

That's not true, you can see in the sessions for "Taking Chances" how excited she was to create that record and how involved she was in decision making for some of the songs.

I agree. She seemed very excited. I'm sick of Céline fans speaking for Céline when Céline's given us absolutely no indication that that's the case. Yes, she talks about her kids a lot. So what? That's what mom's do. Ever had a friend on Facebook who just had a baby? They update their status every 5 minutes to tell everyone about the smallest thing their baby does. It doesn't mean they don't care about other things as well. It's normal.

Céline's time in Jamaica proved how much she still loves singing. Watch her documentaries. She's always walking around singing something. She can't stop. She loves to sing and she loves music. I honestly feel like some of you guys live in an alternate universe. It's like you've created your own version of Céline that doesn't match the real one.

TRUE TRUE TRUE!! Thank you so much for this post!! This is exactly how I feel too.. She still does more in music than some other artists do, it's just that we don't get as much as we were used to in the 90's and early 00's. I believe that she's still very passionate about music, and that she's very excited to be recording again. Though she might not show it that much right now. It doesn't mean that she isn't. Most women are on maternety leave for a year, Celine went back to doing CONCERTS after 4/5 months, that's incredible.

When the time comes she will prove to us that she is still very passionate and that she's still very involved in the making of an album. We just have to wait and be patient.

Guys,

The way i see it is... Look at the music industry! Is it full of happy, joyful songs? All music videos are black and dark, Artists dont have to be talented, they just have to look weird. Most music videos don't even make sense, they look like dark satanic rituels :whistling:  (NWO)

Even though Celine is a big seller, she doesn't necessarily "fit" into the music industry! Not like she used to!

Its IMPORTANT to know the music industry isnt the same as it once was. New artists don't sing what they want and in the style they want. For example, Katy Perry wanted to have a gospel career, she even said in an interview... and then she was changed to what she is today. Look how Britney spears was molded into a sex symbol even at the age of 16!!! The music industry is a dark dark place and the only thing they care about is MONEY!

Why did Whitney's online albums and songs double in price within 30 mins of her death?? If you guys look into the music industry you will see exactly what im talking about. Also why so many Celeb Deaths with people who sing about love and peace? Micheal Jackson, Whitney Huston, John Lennon, bob Marley.... (bob marley was shot and survived. He was shot because of a peace concert he was doing). Guys u really have to look it up, dont think im some weirdo, i hope you all understand what im getting at.

For PROOF, look at celines recent interview about Whitney death: Celine said she was SCARED of the industry, that's why she doesn't go to partys, Celine knows about the dark things that happen in the music industry and more importantly, So does RENE and thats the main reason celine has always been sheltered from the industry!

Its not that Celine doesn't enjoy singing! Its not that at all! Thats the reason why she tours and does concerts more than most artists ever do.

Do most of you know about backward messages in songs? look it up! Some messages are dark and evil. This could be why Celine sings so many covers, she doesn't write her own songs, she has to have trust in writers that there rnt any hidden messages in songs which trigger our unconscious mind. With covers of "old" songs she can be sure her songs are safe.

Look what Micheal jackson had to say about SONY head Tommy Mattola who was married to Mariah, She got away from him because he was doing bad things in the industry, look it up. He tapped into her phones and she was very scared married to him. You can find this out on the internet - Its just the "MASS MEDIA" doesnt tell you everything.

Do you know the Media is owned by a handful of the same set of people in the western world? look it up! We get told what they want us to hear, Its all one sided so whatever news we see, it doesnt mean its true. How many things never add up when listening to the media?

Celine will know about all of this going on and im sure she will want to keep away from it. The music industry is a dangerous place, Look what most celebs say. Celine will record albums for us, because she loves her fans, but remeber its alot harder for her now because of other stresses in the industry.

Sorry for this depressing post guys, and i really dont want u to think im weird, You dont have to believe me but dont disregard it untill you have looked into it yourself

Kevin. Calm down.

I know conspiracy theories are fun and all. I get my dose every now and then. A lot is probably true, but to read it into EVERYTHING isn't something I would recommend. A moment ago I thought I would watch some conspiracy documentary today since it was some time ago, but - don't get this too wrong - after reading your post I no longer have a need for it.

I am quite sure Céline isn't consious about any dark forces in the industry. When she said she was afraid she surely meant of the culture. The drugs, the shallow games.

I don't think the reasons she doesn't record new orignal songs are those you listed, sorry. I prefer old music rather than new too, but that has nothing to do with any possible "dark messages". The music now isn't simply as great as it was in the 30-70ies, that's all. The quality is down, the passion too.

And the music industry hasn't changed that much. Céline too is a product of others. Her albums aren't any kind of statements she wants to deliver.

Im very calm Fred, and i didn't mean dark forces.... But look at the industry  Whats happy about it? Rihanna, beyonce, gaga, nikkie M, they are all the same! Thats whats in the charts and its all a load of dark, depressing stuff, where is the talent? Can you really see Celine fitting in with these. TBH i wished i hadnt said anything, but its been something ive wanted to say for ages but i knew this would happen if i expressed my OWN opinion. Im not on my own with this, some people need to open their eyes, or at least have some open mindedness!

If some of you guys would listen, maybe you would find the answers to your questions you have all been asking for years!

Let's make this clear. First of all, no hard feelings. I don't want to argue about the success of any song. But I really thought (and still think) the words you used were rude. I don't want to tell you or anyone else how express oneself but I'd really like us to try to be polite when sharing our opinions.

This topic is heating up! Kevin I agree with you, Celine is a bit different than this industry, she hasnt changed and I'm grateful to that or otherwise we would've had a disaster like Mariah  , but if Adele can make it so can Celine, she just needs to take a little bit more interest.

Celine is an amazing singer( no doubt) and her fans are always there, I think she just doesn't wanna loose the respect she's gained over the years. Maybe she thinks that her album might not be a success and she'll not have the same status that she has earned over the years. -_-

Then she has children as well and we all know how much Celine is crazy about them and the trouble she had to go through.

Its just my point of view and thoughts though. You may or may not agree.

I almost completely agree with you; except for the "if Adele can make it so can Celine". Of course she can conquer the charts again, all she needs is a catchy single and a decent worldwide promotion, but the thing here is that Adele is having a career and Celine another one. Adele might be going through what Celine experienced in 1996 with the success of Falling Into You. It's another league.

It's always make me laugh when Celine says that the music industry is dangerous place with drugs and everything. Has she ever visited public high schools or downtowns ? These places are filled with drugs traffic, wild parties, prostitution problems, freaky people with guns and knifes and street gangs...

She's also talking about the pressures of being in the party scene of the industry. There's no privacy, and a lot of pressure...pressure that most of the time drives celebrities to end up with drug and alcohol addictions. She would rather just stay away from the party scene altogether. Why is this a problem? For example..Lindsay Lohan, she started as a talented and hopeful child actress. The pressures got to her and look where she is at now. She grew up an hour away from me and went to Cold Spring Harbor High School which is a public school and she didn't get into the drugs and alcohol until the pressures of the career and the spotlight took over her. The music/movie industry is a dangerous place when it comes to these things because for whatever reason, the trafficking is easier to cover up than it is just in some random neighborhood. Money is power in these lines of work. So with that kind of power it's very easy to have hard drugs and alcohol readily available without anyone really knowing about it.

The party scene is only dangerous for suggestible people with weak personality.

It's also very easy to have hard drugs and alcohol readily available without anyone really knowing about it in real life. It's not because you go to a party or a high school where the drugs and alcohol flow heavily that you are forced to consume them.

I always find small crack packets in my letterbox every weeks with a note on them stating ''If you want more call to this phone number...''. I could easily consume it and even call to that phone number to get more but I don't do it because I'm aware of the dangerous consequences associated with drugs.

We can take Whitney Houston as an example : she was already a drugs addict as a teen way before dabbling in the music industry.

Maybe there are a lot of drugs addicts in the movie/music industries but there are also a lot of drugs addicts in the everyday life. Many people dies of alcohol/drugs addictions everyday but the medias simply don't talk about them because they are unknown. The problem isn't that industry but the society in general. Just my 2 cents.

Does anybody know why Michael started on prescription drugs? Because of the "accident" that happened on the coca cola commercial, and his hair was set on fire. Some say it was done on purpose to get Micheal on drugs. It is a fact that after this he was on medication for the pain and never came off drugs untill the drugs killed him.

NOTE: a celebrity is more easily controlled by the industry if they are on medication and not in their real state. Some singers such as Britney spears are heavily controlled by the people around her, why do you think she went crazy? A singer who is in a good state doesnt shave her hair for no good reason. Trust some artists are not having a great time in the industry.

It should be obvious that singers cannot do what they want to do in the industry as they once did, they answer to their label. Their label are there to make huge profits from a singer, not to do everything the artist wants to do. Isn't it obvious with the direction the music industry has right now and especially since 2009? Every music video is weird, depressing and dark, from most major artists in the industry right now. Maybe this is a trend, but who sets the trends??? The industry!

Look at this press conference with MJ:

Hidden by the Media as always! Like i said before the media is run by the same people, whatever newspaper you read some subjects will never get through...

The guy "TOMMY MATTOLA" is one of the heads of SONY (Celine's record company for those who dont know) Look what he did to his ex wife Mariah :( Trust me that artists dont have the great life shown in the media. Celine seems to have always had Rene who is a good man protecting her from the industry. All im saying is please people open your eyes to the real industry and not what you get "allowed" to see in the media.

Can i just say, There is other factors we dont know about with Celine's record company. We dont know the whole picture

Britney Spears started to party heavily and taking hard drugs like cocaine and ecstasy when she was 14 years old. She wasn't a celebrity back then, she was just a suggestive girl with a weak personality like many unknown teenagers.

I think she would still have turned out crazy and shave her hair off even if she'd have never become a famous celebrity. It was just the result of her long term drugs addiction.

How long does she normally take to record an album? 2 weeks? Plus she recorded a few songs back in November didnt' see (At Seventeen with Babyface); if they still use it.

So she should be done by begining May.

If they're doing two albums she should be done in about a month--mid may.

By the time she hits the stage in June I hope we have a new single.

I hope we get some news soon! I'm like almost bursting at the seams with excitement! I'm just praying for a decent new single, which will be followed by an amazing new album.

I have complete faith in Celine and everyone involved, and they will deliver a fantastic album! :-D

I doubt we'll get news until shes done recording, and then we'll get maybe a short montage of her recording a song or two in the studio filmed by productions J. ( studio versions of songs shes performed in the Vegas show that will appear on the album ). Edited by Shamrock29
