Yeah....her current schedule gives her enough room to breath....and she has a holiday almost every other month.

Such a thing can always happen, whether it's in Vegas, at home or on tour.

Right, it's not Vegas, this can happen in any other city where she would have had the residency, but it IS the plan of concerts she's having since 2003, always singing the same repertoire of songs concert after concert, with no variation. That's definetly wearing herself out, and they've gone too far already with the Vegas concept of concert IMO. They should have found a limit to that kind of show since the first time they were thinking of extending it around 2006

On the bright side she now gets 4 straight months off (Feb, March, April, May) to enjoy with her kids.....it's not like she's "Physically" ill and confined to a bed.....just vocal rest. I'm sure as disapointed as she and rene may be (stress from Ceasars too) that is a plus through all of this. She can't record or sing.....so what else to do but relax with the babies. Hopefully by June 9 (her next show) she'll be super relaxed and ready to get back at it.....and then by end of August she s off for another 3 months.....so so it will seem....She may cram in some shows though in the fall to make up for this last cancellation, but I doubt it.

We all understand Celine is ill and im sure we all send out best wishes and hope she gets better! But come on....... what? How many people have stressful jobs? Some people are stressed at work and then come home and cant afford a bite to eat, worrying about bills and loans, their Morgage!

 

Compared to most people we all know celine has a very stable happy life with everything she wants, and if she wants something that isnt available she has the power and money to get it made custom for herself! everything she wants she gets ( which she has worked bloody hard for may i add)

 

I hate it when people dont see it as it is, she is human the same as us and stress is apart of everybodys life! She does so much for her fans and really does push herself hard sometimes, but thats apart of being human.

 

SHE IS A SINGER! its going to happen, she will get sick just like all of us, stop taking it out of proportion! my freind had the same as Celine last year by smoking too much, she got over it, she is fine!

 

I just want to make clear that just because celine is ill the world does not stop, it will pass! SHE DOESNT NEED WRAPPING IN COTTON WOOL!

 

Celine, has a show which takes perhaps 5 hours of her time a day for maybe 3/4 night a week! She is doing something she LOVES! Seriously without saying she doesnt work hard, its not that much of a stress (try earning what celine does in one day, you probably wouldnt earn as much in two years!)

 

it really annoys me when some fans dont see it as it is! Celine is AMAZING, My idol, everything that makes me happy, but at the end of the day she is the same as us, she is having a few days off work because she is ill! thats it! The amount of people who ring in ill at my work...... Its normal!

Sorry to say that your friend did not get the same virus that Celine has from smoking Cigarettes. One of Celine's vocal cords is stressed. Probably between having the flu and Vegas, and Jamaica..change of climates. These are all factors that could cause you to become ill. Your friend getting a little bit of laryngitis from smoking is far from the same thing.

 

Now, Celine is sick. She will get better. We will get albums, end of story. Stop complaining. We would be considered selfish and frankly, we'd be considered not kind as we complain about not getting albums because she is sick.

That's true, she was going to do international promotion and was also going to join Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet at certain events. I really hope she'll feel better around the end of March-beginning of April. The Soundtrack is released on March 25th, so my guess is that the promotional tour might start around a week later or so.

Javito, laryngitis is more than often caused by a virus. It usually follows a bad cold, and as far as we know Celine and her whole family had the snuffels after Jamaica. It is winter there, these things happen. I've had laryngitis before and I don't smoke, I don't sing, etc. I got it along with a bad cold. So you can't say for certain Vegas did this to her. She is doing way less shows than she did for AND, so I doubt it could be because of Vegas. Same here Javito, you probably know by now that Then You Look At Me has always been my favorite song. I'd die if I ever saw video footage of the recording session or even just a short clip of Celine talking about the song...

 

By the way, browseceline, how can you say that TYLAM has weak lyrics???? The part "You look at me and life comes from you" expresses what you feel when you are in love with somebody. It's like you life made non sense until you finally met that person, who gave a sense to your life, that's the meaning of the sentence.

But it is the way words follow after another in this sentence, it just does not feel right.. That doesn't still mean Vegas is the big monster Jav, if she was to do a little tour in 25 countries or doing a tv series or flipping burger at Nickels, she'd still have these obligations to do, no matter where it is. An agreement is an agreement!

 

I do agree she waisted an amazing vocal time!! After the premiere her voice was soooo good and soooo strong!! They should have started to record songs asap! Not 20 songs in 2 weeks, but just a song at a time... when ever she felt like it...... It's a big shame she doesn't have her own recording studio, where she could be jamming and recording songs just for pleasure and fun.... and make little EPs for us

At what point did i complain about not getting albums??????? i complained that people were blowing the whole situation out of proportion I want her to get better and new albums at this point are not important! Do not accuse me of something i didn't say!

 

And BTW YES my freind had the same thing and it lasted for A month and a half, she could hardly speak!!! How dare you say it wasnt as bad when you dont know her! It may not be as bad as Celine, i was just stating it is something Celine will get over and should be fine, because my freind was fine!

Well i think Then You Look At Me, is powerful but oin a different way to MHWGO! It has a totally different feel to it, which makes sence. BTW have you seen the film Bionical man? (however its spelt lol) It has much more feeling when you see the film (even tho i wasnt really impressed with the film, but it was a good watch to hear the little bits of then you look at me music throughout the film. by the time Celine starts to sing at the end and all the music is twined in together, it has alot of feel to it)

 

I was showing some freinds at uni this song only last week and they love it!

I agree, I always said that the best thing you can do right after watching the Biccentenial Man movie is play the music video of TYLAM; it's very touching. By the way, browseceline, I don't think TYLAM can be compared to MHWGO, actually I don't think any song can be compared to another 'cause they are all unique.

No I never took the time to watch that movie because I have seen trailers or parts of it and I did not like it at all

But the similarity with my heart will go on is that it is both a big orchestral song, it both has a big climax and both are composed

by James Horner and written by Will Jennings. After mhwgo being so succesful Celine got the job again, this time for Bicentennial Man,

I think he wanted to do it again, although with another song. But I think it was never succesful because the movie itself wasn't a big hit,

if it had been a big hit it could have done a lot to this song too, I am sure. But you are right my heart will go on is so unique that no other

song can have the same complete feeling. This song came close, but just not enough.

I'm pretty sorry for Celine, but the consequence of the delay of the album is to do the things so in a hurry, to record the album in a week or so... She should take more time working on things, maybe not to force herself so much for a week and do it in a more relaxed way in a few months.

When i was watching the movie and was listening to the music behind i was like... where do i know this??? and then in the end the song starts and i'm like WHY didnt i realise it sooner?? XD i absolutely love it, its much more meaningful than MHWGO in a similar theme too but MHWGO is more catchy

MHWGO maybe amazing and wonderful, but at the end of the day, are we not tired of it a little? As huge Celine fans MHWGO is great but also really annoying as thats all people know Celine for who are not fans and its over played and performed. Personally (my preference) MHWGO is OVER OVER rated! not as a song but the fact it is Celines main signature song. Celine has so many more songs which shows how great Celines voice is and shows her vocals to the max! MHWGO has two? short notes where celine can show her Amazing vocals! Because of this song, many people dont even know Celine's capabilities, this annoys me alot. Does anybody else sit and wait for the end of the song? Skip the first two minutes on youtube? i do lol Im sick of the song! (may i add i do love the song but im just tired of it)

 

when it comes to singing TYLAM is fresh and exciting, and some of teh notes in there are amazing and truely does show off her vocals! The way it ends with that amazing long note and then swiftly goes into the quiet whispery note at the end gives me chills! The song seems to build up and build up throughout which gets me more excited fo the end than MHWGO! May i add, the lyrics are

Does this woman perform for her fans every year since 2003, other than to have a baby? Has she released at least 25 albums for her fans without mentioning DVD's, live albums? NO she has 10 Sing for TWO audiences french and english? Belong in the TOP 3 W/M/C female singers? Have two years of her filmed with camera crewe to give a fantastic documentary, just so the fans have something special? Does she have three children, two of which are 1 years of age?

 

What a mature thing to say.... Celine does alot compared to most artists, and she has given so much! We are used to having a quick pace between things being released. I did not enjoy reading your post at all! Saying Celine should spend more time on her albums is fine, i think we all agree on that, but to hope and wish unsucess on a woman who has given us her all is out of order!

When was the last time Celine was even nominated for a Grammy?

 

Mary's material is much deeper and more personal than Celine's, yes, but she also has much more inspiration to draw from. Mary has had a very difficult life, dealing with abuse, drug and alcohol addictions, although luckily she's overcome it all. Celine is about as wholesome as celebrities of her stature get, and as vanilla as that may make her persona and music, I'm glad for the fact that she'll likely live until she's 100 and be able to share her voice with us for decades to come.
