Confirmed - "Hollywood theme" Canceled

so be happy because in the end she will sing only her biggest hits, so its the same all over again ;-) well thank you

 

the reason and declaration of love, are songs i would LOVE to see with an orchestra, and for me she sang those not so many times so i'm happy with those!

I'm curious for the Billy Joel song, and i love RDMH ;-)

 

You know really well why this is happening.

 

Because of the short time for Celine to get ready.

This is not about opinions in this forum. I knew this was coming.

I fact... I thought the whole thing was gonna be canceled all together!

 

It also shows the lack of caring.

 

Why not bring dragone again? Why not pay for a high profile show maker

to do this one? There are some great names out there.

This time it seems like it's all rushed. How come can they cancel such thing

in such short notice? This is totally unprofessional and we are gonna regret this!

LCMM has been performed in her last....1200 something concerts. There was no doubt it was going to be performed again.

 

Holywood or not, she was still going to cram in the same six songs she has performed the last ten years. IDAN, MHWGO, LCMM, BYLM, TLYM, IACBTMN....they all would have been included anyway.

 

The only difference is that now instead of having those six and about twelve covers, we'll have those six plus ten of her own songs (and probably two covers at least). This opens up more chance for songs we have not heard in awhile.

 

Sorry, but the movie thing would be the biggest flop since Mariah's Memoirs album, LOL. People don't go to Vegas to hear Celine's voice - they go to hear Celine's songs.

They'd rather hear the songs they know 10x over again before hearing her sing a bunch of slow movie songs form the 50's that they don't recognize.

Hello.

We have to bear in mind that in 2011 Céline celebrates her 30 Anniversary in the industry so what a better way to celebrate than singing her own reperoire( greatest hits and others) with a huge orchestra, just like she did in 1991 with "10 ans dejà" concert.

 

Furthermore it would be a perfect occasion to lister some medleys with songs she rarely or never sung live such as. water from the moon, have a heart, unison, send me a lover...

I am thrilled that some of you guys are so positive about this, but I am not. Celine has not included any of her older songs in the past ten years, what makes you guys think she will now?

 

Tyler you forgot songs like TPOL, PQTME, RDMH and IA. So that leaves us with about 8 more songs. There's already talk about a Billy Joel song. And who wants to bet me she will include ATW and TFTEISYF? That leaves us with what? The only decent song will be ''The Reason''.

This show is not to promote a new album, it has no theme, it is just her music. Of course we will hear some 90s songs again!

Can you imagine the horns on that song?! The vibe an orchestra (which can produce a big band sound) will create for that song....

Sometimes I wish we didn't have the Internet.......then we would find out at the premiere and either love or hate it by seeing it with your own eyes without knowing all the changes beforehand.

It's true, Hollywood theme is gone. Celine and her band will start rehearsing in Florida after the Holidays, the guys are already rehearsing. They're doing Declaration of Love in the video! Mego says no real new song, since she's not doing an album, but some new songs from her (the Billy Joel one, already mentioned, it's supposed to be a song she'll sing for her children).

 

 

Also, Mego says they have something even better than holograms planned... that sounds wicked!

 

I am please she'll do more of her own songs and not just a bunch of covers. She's got amazing songs she's never done live or at least not in a while. They says in the video the show is 2 hours now but they'll cut it down to 1 and a half hours. If I understood corectly, there might be some guest stars also... Mego's accent is worse than Celine's (in a good way, I lilke it, it's just hard to understand sometimes).

 

All I know is people were saying a lot of crazy things before AND, predicting her fall, and it was a smashing success! I'm sure they'll have great new ideas (Mego is saying they're still throwing in ideas, the show is not done) and that it will be spectacular. Also, Celine and big orchestra = perfection! It sounded amazing with the orchestra in Sur les Plaines and they didn't have that much time to prepare and it was just a basic concert. All I know it's always more interesting with an orchestra for both listener and singer.

 

It's too bad I won't be able to make it there at least until 2012... . On the other hand, I'm sure she'll have some new material by then so I can't complain.

Also, it's kinda hard to sing for 2 hours, especially the way Celine does it, running around everywhere being crazy... And especially just 5 months after giving birth... If I remember corectly she said on Larry King it will take about 6 moths for her to heal inside..or maybe it was in one of the magazines, I don't remember. Either way, one of these days you guys need to understand Celine will never be so devoted heart, body and mind to her career like she was before having children because they're more important than anything. I'm so happy she doesn't stop performing altogether and we get to see her so often.

And Teodora... Céline wouldn't have to sing all the time... just look at the 2 musical pieces Mego made for AND and the New Flamenco... These musical interludes could also give céline some time to get into other clothes etc

Yeah, they are cute breaks...But really, I'm there to hear Celine sing . The fact that she has an amazing band is a huge plus, but I wouldn't bother for any other singer, with the exact same band, so it's really about her for me. I'm pretty sure they'll surprise us in a good way, like they did with AND. I mean, that show would be out of this world even if it started today, in terms of visuals and concept etc.

 

I'm curious though what can be even more visually interesting than holograms... I know Rene talked about some 3D stuff at one point... I cannot wait to read what the people that will see the first show will say/describe. I'm excited for them, even if I'm not going

 

Oh, about that 90 minute rule: I had no idea it existed... It makes no sense. Why do they care if the show it's 1h, 2h or 4h??
