This idea of doing a show over the issues of the Hollywood novel and I liked qeu think most people do not like the idea, even though they changed it, cuz I think ATOUR show a fixed need more of that classic hollywood. so we'll have news qeu years it comes to the mystery prevails.

My sister and I were very pleased with this piece of news(that is, if it's accurate) because we want more than ever just to listen to Celine songs. Maybe a repeated set list could be boring to some, but for us it'd be amazing anyway, first show of the Diva, bring on the classics!! lol

maybe she just didn't think to mention the hollywood theme.. and everything is still the same and the world will continue to revolve like normal.. whatever they do will be great and we all know that.. so who cares if she sings movie songs.. or hit songs.. or the same setlist she has done for years.. lets be greatful that she is still performing and doing this. A lot of artists don't perform like Celine does and pack it up after the height of their career and do maybe 1 or 2 shows a year. Personally i'm happy with whatever the lady sings. And if that means her coming out and doing TPOL, BYLM, IACBTMN, MHWGO, TLYM, LCMM and all the same old songs then i'll be happy because it's a chance to see her again.. But that's not the only reason why we're bringing the topic to this point, it's mainly because the runners of the official site for the show have deleted any info regarding the movie theme on there. I personally pray for them to have changed their minds on this movie themed concept. ... and not just thinking in an egoistic way, because I also believe that 99% of people who have already bought tickets have done this just 'cos Céline is their idol, and not because of the too early announced concept.

I must admit it doesn't worries me too much either tho: in some way I've been hoping for TYLAM or Everything I Do, or an "Unchained Melody" . AND I want to see "A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix), TTWII and Think Twice too, so... only time will tell!

What bothers me is that Celine's quoted in People Magazine saying that the show is completed, rehearsals start next month, and all she has to do is learn the lyrics.

I'm also happy to hear that it will be focussed on the music and the voice for a change. I couldn't care less about all the other stuff. They can put her in her pjs on stage for all I care. And by the sound of it she wouldn't mind...

Oh c'mon! Rene is just as much to blame for the setlist and the length of the songs. Of course Mego is involved in the process and produces the arrangements, but that doesn't mean he decided to cut SOL and FA short! The whole TEAM probably did this because these 2 songs were not singles, and they had lots of other more impressive songs they really wanted in the setlist (like ML, TSMGO, IAMW, etc) without the show being longer than the usual 90 mins. It's difficult for them to fit everything when they have the fixed-length interval videos, and of course all the hits

 

With the arrangement for SOL, it could have been better, but if you listen to the album version, the background music isn't that exciting either. I think sometimes it's down to Celine, she never put as much energy into the songs after the first few months of the tour. But I don't think there's anything wrong with FA, the most obvious difference is that's it's 2 semitones lower than the album version, because it was obviously too hard for her to sing in the original key.

 

As for CFTF, that was only performed in a couple of shows, it wasn't there at the start of the tour so it wasn't "cut". They were obviously trying it out, but personally I don't think it worked very well live. Celine always missed out the last line of each part to get her breath back, and the backing singers were too loud... And the reason why this was shortened was because it was performed instead of SOL

They just interviwed Mégo on Salut Bonjour and he confirmed that the whole hollywood movie theme has been cancelled.

Hmmmmm but with a huge orchestra and special effects, they surely wouldn't waste this new show and charge ppl to go and see/hear the same setlist from the tour from 2 years ago, would they??? :s
