Mego is a producer of the song "Ne me quitte pas". There is another (former) member of Celine's band, his name is Paul Picard with his percussions on "Une chance qu'on s'a" and "Les petits pieds de Lea".

It's really a sweet and honest monologue I'm really happy for her, that she is so happy this way!

And she also said, she has plans for the future, so Vegas is not the end

 

I'm getting more and more exciting about this album!!! Of course there won't be so many big notes, but that's always more on the English albums, than the French.

I think this album will be just as personal as D'eux was for her.

 

I'm very intrueged to see Mego produced NMQP! I think it's a great choice, as he probably is responsible for the Vegas version.... I do hope it's as much one take as possible!

 

The only down comment I have is that the songs are all so damn short! the times of songs of 5:00 and more are over it seems

I truly enjoyed the interview that she gave. Thank you for sharing. I like how she opened up and said why she's doing things the way she is. I respect the fact that her priority is being a mother, yet at the same time she still wants to sing but at the same time saying she doesn't have to in order to be happy.

I can't remember Celine used some of her own band members to produce a song on her album.

As for the instrumentals.

 

Her French albums are always without the high high notes. And as I remember I'm not missing them on her French work.

Sure she has some longer notes, like on ESNRQ, but that's the highest you get on her French work I guess.

 

I surely can't wait!! Let the fun begin!

I'm not missing the whole English album for a second! Yes it would be fun to have 30 new songs in 2 weeks time. But now we can fully enjoy the French part.

There is also great guitarist Jeff Smallwood on the songs "Une chance qu'on s'a" and "Les petits pieds de Lea". Mr. Smallwood previously worked in 1996 on Celine's album "Falling Into You" or in 2001 on Garou's album "Seul". Another great guy is Jean-Michel Tavernier with his horn on the songs "Qui peut vivre sans amour?" and "Moi quand je pleure". Mr. Tavernier was a music coordinator for the 1989 film Valmont starring Colin Firth and Annette Bening or music director for the Academy Awards nominated film Vatel starring Gerard Depardieu, Uma Thurman and Tim Roth.

<< It's more like an invitation, like a small VIP album, for those who know me. "You know me, I'm inviting you over, do I reeeally have to put make-up on, tonight, for supper?" You know what I mean. That's how I see it. But I was really touched to see that authors, composers had once again written songs especially for me. I'm so thrilled, I realise that the fact that I have been such an open book all my life, has been nothing but positive for me. I've been criticized so many times for this. "You don't have to say this, this is private, and so on..." But I realize now that it really was a good thing. It's ok if you want to keep things to yourself too, but for me it was a choice, and it paid off. People (she says a name like Mike Harrington, don't know who that is) wouldn't even have to make any research about me. They just need to ask if they want to, and I'll tell them everything in a 4 minutes interview. So, people write songs and I couldn't have done better myself, I couldn't even have asked for that much. When they proposed me those, I was moved by their generosity, and the attention they paid to my life. I might still have some plans for the future, but right now I have this album on its way, the english one too, and I have 2 babies at home and the big one who works very hard, I'm so proud of him. So the reason why I'm doing less shows is that I want to be a mother first. If people don't like my album, sure it will be deceiving for all those who put so much energy in the making, but it's not the end of the world. There are many other singers, but there is no other mother for my children. The reason why I spend less time (in show business) is because I want to spend more time with my children. >>

A song for her father, one for her mother, a couple for her kids.... Hmmm... the themes of this album might make me yawn a lot... But I really respect the fact that she's singing about her life, about where she's at right now, she's not trying to sell something untruthfull to herself.

 

Even if the lyrics might not touch me too much, I'm sure the music itself will be great. And I love it when Celine doesn't try to hit all the big notes and keeps it down a little and I'm sure that some big notes will be there too .

Celine mentions that she was super disappointed and super excited at the same time when this project was proposed to her. She was excited because of the lightness of the images that were proposed almost like caricatures (sp?). Then she goes to say that it's been a long time since she's done photos (I'm assuming for fun she means) and when she looks at them she things they are simply amazing. She was amazed by the photographer,Annie Horth, Zane, who did her hair and the entire team. She loved her photos and goes to say for once I like my photos and the album cover is a caricature... is this a joke.

I'm really honestly so excited for this album! I mean, she seems to be happy with it, she's enjoying what she's doing and she still loves it. Plus, she's more than happy to be a mother! This is great! I have a feeling this will be a very touching album...

My heart literally skipped a beat when she said that. Because she said precisely " I LOVE MYSELF on those pics. And for once I love my pics and they go with that caricature". So I guess she doesnt even have a say in this (that's probably what she's trying to say, when it comes to Celine there is so much to read between the lines...) Come on Celine, that's what many of us think !!! Its even more frustrating knowing that you feel that way too !!! ( I have absolutely no doubt now, Im sure that she read our comments on the official website...)

Actually when she said "I haven't taken pictures for 20 years", I think she just meant "it's been a while since I had a photoshoot done".

Why I do hate the cover being illustrated:

 

I've heard many people say "Celine doesn't need to do a photoshoot for every album cover. She's not a model or an actress". That's not the problem. Image has always been an important matter in Celine's life and career. Most of us remember how she hated the way she looked when she was young, and many of us at one point felt the same way about ourselves. She did so much and worked so hard throughout the years, to change and improve her looks. And now she's finally more than ok with the woman she has become, and it's a shame she can't proudly show it off on the cover of her new album, when she has such a wonderful photoshoot done by Alix. Proof is she said it herself a couple days ago in Montreal. She said "I do love myself on these pictures. For once I love my pictures, and in the end it's a caricature on the cover. Is that a joke or what?" That's what many of us think, and it's even more frustrating to know that she, herself, feels the same way. I guess she didn't really have a say in this, and it's truly a shame.

 

I don't agree that the illustrations lighten up the emotions of the album. I think this cover lessens the album's credibility at first sight, but I'll do my best not to judge this album by its cover.

 

Plus, Aurore Hutton d'Estaing's artworks are not my cup of tea at all. Way too girlish and childish for a pop music album, even an intimist one.

It's probably just me being my ditzy self, but could someone clarify for me if the photos she's talking about is the 3 promotional photos for Sans Attendre? Also what does she mean by she hasn't done a photo shoot in 20 years?

Yes, she's talking about those 3 pictures that were included in the official press kit that was distributed to the media.

 

Actually, she means that she hasn't had a photoshoot done since Taking Chances era. She's just exaggerating a bit the number of years...

In this video i noticed lots of pics were taken of Celine, by camera men. Is there any way to get those pics? I love that purple dress and would love to have better pics of Celine wearing it!!

Although the pose of the girl is a bit strange, I'm OK with the cover... But, Celine seems don't like the caricature cover very much at all, at least Celine herself said she loves the photoshoot very much, so one of the photos of the photoshoot should be the cover in that way...
