Oh some of you are DANGEROUS for her career - I'm so thankful that you don't have a say in it!!!

 

That cover is absolutely fantastic for her image - its quirky, and its conceptual. I just only hope the album is as good.

Everyone's got the right to say what to say.

Who are you to decide, that this cover is "absolutely fantastic for her image" and all the others, who don't share your opinion are jerks???

I'm starting to accept this cover and album concept. It has this artistic note that was not present in the past in Celine's discography.

But one thing is sure they overreact with pink. It's too much for my eyes. I could also see plain drawings of Celine

as seen in the D'ells booklet, since the songs have quite serious themes.(ok that's just my opinion nevermind )

But 16 songs on a French album this is quite something, I'm positively surprised.

Let's just hope we get quality also with quantity.

 

I'm putting all my hopes on this album and will buy it for sure unlike the English shame I could put it this way:

I really like the cover. it's something fresh and unique, it stands out on the shelf. and I love the little ornaments on the tree. this is very personal and a real treat for the fans or anyone who knows her a little. brilliant work.

Considering Celine's demographic is mainly female, I don't think they really care what the 1% of males who buy her albums think about the cover concept...just order it online if it embarrasses you. I remember a classmate once called me out in front of everyone for listening to Celine, to which someone looked at me and said, "Why do you give two hoots about what they say? If that's your style of music, keep listening to it!" I went and bought 2 'Miracle' longboxes the next day...one for my friend who was pregnant at the time and the other for myself...and didn't think twice about what the cashier would think (and God knows that is probably the most feminine cover of all).

 

As far is this cover goes, have you people ever heard the cliche, "never judge a book by its cover?"

That's good Del! You shouldn't be embarassed in the store because you're buying a Céline CD! People look at me weird too when I buy Céline stuff since people my age don't usally do that. It's fun!

 

I like the cover! It's cute! I do find the pose a bit strange but hey! They're trying something new, there's continuation with the single for Parler à mon père. Even though I don't quite get the tree thing, I like how they put stuff that she likes in it! All in all, I like it! It's cute and innovative!

Ok guys, the album cover has come. Everyone have different preference, some people like her when she wore night gown (elegant classy glamour), some people like her when she wore catchy t-shirt with jeans (fun young energic catchy), some people even love her nudity, lol. It's same with music, people have different preference, pop, rock, salsa, jazz, gospel, rock n roll, opera, middle east music, ballad, r&b, dance, disco etc. (thanks god, she can sing many music style). It's same with this cover, many positive n negative feedback, we have different preference. it's up to you, that's your opinion. Oh, don't get me wrong with this quote "don't judge the book by it's cover". Look 90's cover album, it's just average imo. But many of her hits were from old era. Look 20's cover album, very beautifull cover, but the quality of songs is not better than old era. Let's talk about quality of songs now. PAMP is average i think, but no problem, it's for her lovely father. The leak of new song was great i think, judge by very sort snippet. The other songs is still mystery. Just calm, wait and see, don't forget to pray the best. About Ne me quitte pas, i really hope this song will included on this album as primer song, not as secondary (bonus) song. This song is great, it can be an excellent single, not bonus songs. And I hope they remove this song from water and a flame, change with a new song (this album is postponed, right??). It's a good idea n good marketing. People who go to show n then they go to boutique, they (i think) will buy the songs she sang on the show. Most of them on water and a flame album, while this special french song on sans attendre. Since, it's a very good song on that show, they will buy french album too, and they will know celine's french discograph more (and the result is more money celine get). But this song must be primer song!!! Not a bonus one!!!

Ok now that I've slept a night over it... I think I like the cover. It's very symbolic AND it is in the line of the single cover.

Though I still don't like that weird body position....

 

The only thing I really really hope, is that the paper will be ribbed paper! The texture of the background, makes you think it is...

but the promo single was just had a smooth surface, which makes it look cheap. It should be like the paper of the D'elles Deluxe box

 

IF there are no new pictures, wouldn't it be wonderful if for each different track, there is a drawing made?

 

She's hanging things we know Celine loves on a tree: shoes, music, babies, frogs, and she's about to add a heart which symbolises love. And we know she likes singing and talking about love.

 

I'm surprised Rene isn't in the background trying to add a dollar bill...

That cover is awful! Who the hell did they pull that said they liked it? It makes her look like a mental patient with her hand in her hair like that, and walking as if she took too much cocaine.

I also added a clock that indicates 5 o'clock, because I think the number 5 is missing.

I'm positive most of us will enjoy this album. Seems so coherent and interesting. Love the tracklist too!

well there are more terrible things in the world and we have been waiting for so long, so another month is okay for me.. . although I was thinking about buying the album and being soo excited to hear the new tracks.. ..but well, I have to wait another month

 

I think I am gonna play the D'Elles album again, I haven't played it since a while.. rediscovering Celine again haha

I really wish it was out this week. And not next month. I really don't understand why Sony decided to release it in November, Rene seemed to want it out by the end of September. And it would have been much better imo. In France, it doesn't make sense releasing albums just before the christmas rush, like they do in the united states. Because publicity/promotion for new albums is made around the time of return to work after summer school break, i.e. september, when all tv shows start again.

LOL I had that once.... I read somewhere a new thing was out, so I rushed to the stores... only to find out IYA was released as a new single, and TAST wasn't out untill weeks later! But with SISDA I just saw it in the stores, I didn't knew she had a new one out, so I was so damn surprised!

and listening to the brilliant En Fill 4 Types album. I can't understand French a word, but her voice sounds so fantastic singing in French.. I like the sounds and the foreign words coming out of her mouth. In english she can sound very American, but in French she can sound so exotic and special! That is why I often prefer her singing in French!

I'm hoping the will preview some small snippets of the songs on her website soon! However I'm not planning to actually listen to them, but maybe just to know that something is happening :-)

I was exercising with my patience back with D'elles and TC and I didn't listen to the snippets - of course apart from the first singles. Now, I don't know yet. I'm so dying of new music that maybe I'll listen to 1 or 2 snippets but not more
