Also so happy that we get a colourful cover for a change. Celine has enough dull black and white covers. This is like a breath of fresh air. We don't always need pictures of Celine. Celine is a singer, not a model or an actress, so all we need is her voice. The pose is a bit weird, but I'm trying to see it as Celine bending a bit to hang the heart in the tree because she is too tall... I don't pretend to be in the famous pessimist group of the forum but I don't like this cover, I'm going to explain myself as reasonable as I can even you don't mind my opinion...hehhe First of all, for me this artwork it's incongruent with the supposed style Celine is trying to create about herself with all this things about Vegas classic diva. This is another point that demostrate the little personality Celine has in music business(and why she can be considered a karaoke singer not only because de covers...). I think you cannot beeing recognize for singing Fitzgerald and Brel with beautiful dresses in Las Vegas and then release a single with this artwork and then presenting a music video being the queen of the desert with your sparkling diamonds all over the sky, your classy dress and your "strike-a-pose" studio close shots and then again this artwork that looks like the school folder of a little 9 years old girl... I think that release and album has to have an entire designed style, you cannot go with the artwork in one way, the music videos in the other way and the songs trying to find their place... Sorry but I think you can NOT but Ne me quitte Pas, such a deep beautiful brokenhearted song in an album with this cover.. it's such an insult to Jacques Brel... ;-) Once you say ok... this is the cover and there is not going back... I don't want to be disrespectful to Aurore Hutton (even I don't know her work) but this cover looks for me like very poor and silly, like I said before, a 9 years old girl school folder but not even beautiful... Some of you talk about the meaning of the illustration... c'mon, this is in the 9 year girl level... truly the tree of life for Celine is a shoe, a frog and a feeding bottle?? for sure??? and you have to stop just 1 minute to think what it represents... and Celine it's now in her forties?? she looked more mature in the 90's.... If this represent's a topic so full of possibilities like the tree of life... wow... Maybe if Celine watch the Terrence Malick Movie "The Tree of Life" she has a stroke... And then, the whole composition... with that poor tree with few leafs... (maybe another meaning??? it's the life of Celine so pointless and empty???? I don't think so.. ) Celine in the center with that difficult anatomic pose... hanging a heart (OF COURSEEE) and touching the hair like... I'm a silly girl holding the loove to giive that represents this heart and living in this beautiful world with beautiful people.. and the trees are green and the sky is blueee.. I love the woooorld... aha... And then the elements on the floor.. so pointless.. that bunny looks like sad and dead and more shoes.. "because I only care about shoees..aha" and all in front of a white wall... Everything in this artwork is so plain and simple, so weak, and there is no light... I'm not against an illustration as a cover, and it could have being a beautiful one, the stores are full of albums illustrated with very good results.. But I would not be surprised if I found this album in the Children section as a mistake of the store manager.... This is a cover for a Lizzie Maguire album... a Disney era Selena Gomez album... But Celine Dion.... c'mon... And the worst thing for me is that the haters have another solid reason to make funny jokes.. how can I defend the artistry of The Voice when I go to the store and buy this thing, the people will say what it looks like.. oh my god.. this girl is even mooore cheesy that she was.... When they released the PAMP video, I thought "Thank God the album is gonna have a classy and elegant image, that stupid illustration was only for the single before they made the video and a proper photoshoot." And the beautiful picture that we got for that concert really was in the same tone, so I really hoped it was from the photoshoot for Sans Attendre. Obviously I was wrong. And I'm so upset. Such artwork would have been ok if she was a young mom in her twenties, but come on she will turn 45 in a few months! And I keep reading that this illustration is so modern. Erm, I dont think so. They made drawings like that in the 90's when I was a child, and I still have a couple of my childhood books. to prove it. In 2012, with all the progress in design and infography, I expected something really modern. Come on even her perfume ads have a better design / conception.
