Celine Fan 77 Posted August 15, 2012 at 07:53 PM Posted August 15, 2012 at 07:53 PM Une chance qu'on s'a/Une chance qu'on s'aime will be a duet with Jean-Pierre Ferland. They'll record the duet in Florida around august 24-25. Actually, Jean-Pierre Ferland is going to visit them at Celine's home in Florida to talk about the song on August 26 and they'll record the duet the next day. And Jean Pierre is even bringing an english version of Un Chance qu'on sa to Céline and René for their consideration I hope they decide to record it in english too Definitely won't be part of Water and a Flame . It's too late for them to include another song I think. Maybe they could release it via website or something like that Quote Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)
smw Posted August 15, 2012 at 07:59 PM Posted August 15, 2012 at 07:59 PM I don't think it's too late to make additions to the English album. I think once this set of Vegas shows is over, there will be a lot more work to be done on the English record. And I hope they lay the groundwork for some brilliant promotions for both albums. OPRAH'S NEXT CHAPTER! Quote
Jeff Abbott Posted August 15, 2012 at 09:26 PM Posted August 15, 2012 at 09:26 PM (edited) So glad that Celine keeps on recording new French songs, there's still some time left for them to do it. Edited August 15, 2012 at 09:26 PM by Jeff Abbott Quote
celine-rc Posted August 15, 2012 at 11:27 PM Posted August 15, 2012 at 11:27 PM I'm very excited about hearing this duet. I was looking forward to hearing Céline sing this classic alone but I'm still that it will still be excellent! It said in the Journal de Montréal today that they will record the song on the 27th of August. Maybe they could release it via website or something like that Why would it be too late for the English album? The french one comes out before the english doesnt it? so why is it too late if she is still working on the french? Im sure there is enough time, its like 3 months away. I wouldn't be surprised if they will still have some songs next month they really want to add as a last minute thing. Ten Days was recorded really late and after the ANDHC Album had been done, but they still included it. Im so glade they did because i Looooove Ten Days! kev x Quote

You know, like the differences between pop singing, opera singing, etc. You guys have a definitive lack of knowledge of his singing career. Have you seen him in concert? Singing live? Most likely not. Please do not use "sur les plaines, when he sang "une chance qu'on sa with Celine as an argument. That would be a error on your part Therefore, you are in no position to comment on Jean Pierre Ferland singing. Two years ago, I flown to Montreal to attend a private and intimate Jean Pierre Ferland concert. He can definitely sing and HE IS A GOOD SINGER OK end of the discussion.. Quote

celine-rc Posted August 18, 2012 at 11:37 PM Posted August 18, 2012 at 11:37 PM As far as the conversation about Jean-Pierre goes, I think that, on a Francophone album, it's normal (and about time) that she does something with Jean-Pierre. Mostly for Québec. He's been huge here since like 60's. And he's still very popular. He's an amazing song writter, I do agree that his singing has gone down a bit recently but that's normal with the age. He's a classic here. I hoped that they would do something together. It would be weirder if they would have never worked together. He's very important in Québec so why wouldn't she collaborate with him? Bell Posted August 19, 2012 at 07:13 AM Posted August 19, 2012 at 07:13 AM Well, he most certainly doesn't sound worse than Sardou, right?Neither one of them sounds bad. As I already said, his manner of singing is probably a little bit different from contemporary but there's nothing wrong with this. Age does matter, too. But I respect Ferland for everything he's done, don't think I know nothing about him. He is great, there's no doubt about it. One of the greatest in Quebec music. Celine respects him a lot and I think it would be both pleasure and honour for her to record with him. Quote 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
