"Sans attendre" album - Official Topic

Second full listen and I just realized this is as close as we will get to a "jazzy" album. Lots of luscious melodies and delicious piano!

 

Let's play word association, one word per song:

 

-Parler a mon pere: Nice (but that's about it)

 

-Le Miracle: Cute (but definitely not a single imo but might work well around x-mas time)

 

-Qui peut vivre sans amour: Forceful (strong single material)

 

-A-ttendre: A-mazing (on so many levels, the lyrics, the melody, Celine's interpretation | definitely should be a single)

 

-Une chance qu'on ca: Romantic

 

-La mer et l'enfant: Genius (on a lyrical level - never be a single)

 

-Moi quand je pleure: Masterpiece (never a single but knowing what Leforestier has said about this custom song and the way Celine palys with it, a true stand out for me. Very "cabaret". I can just see the dragqueens... Hey, dit-moi je t'aime ou je repleure

-Celle qui m'a tout appris: Touching

 

-Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour: Single! (as in, should have been the second single!)

 

-Si je n'ai rien de toi: Memorable

 

-Que toi au monde: Melodramatic (after a second listen, I think it's a little over the top in its subject even though very real for a lot of people unfortunately. Plamondon says it's better than L'amour existe encore. I don't think so)

 

-Les petits pieds de Lea: Gem (but could never be a single)

 

-Tant de temps: Old-school (a lot of people will skip it but I love the mood of the song)

 

-Ne me quitte pas: Moving

 

-Des jours comme ca: Awesome (should have been the first single even if different from the rest of the album)

She really put her heart in these recordings and her voice...is better than ever! I listened the album today all day at work and now at celinedion.com full songs..until get my copy. :clap:

Loving the album!!! I have like 3 favorites songs so far!!! ha! I haven't had that "feeling" since 1F&4T, because lets face it...D'elles was BORING AS HELL

Plamondon said it is the best song he has written SINCE l'amour existe encore. it can't touch l'amour existe encore even though it is a beauty

there isnt one song i would skip. celle qui m'a tout appris is a gem, so is moi quand je pleure, the melody is so playful and her voice is so agile on it. cant stop listening to the album. i guess dion withdrawal causes that hahahaha

i'm not sure which song is my favourite yet lol but i love the album

and i think it will grow on me more !! and i totally love the frenchy sound / music in this album!!!!!

 

btw i'm kinda glad that Celine didn't release 2 albums at the same time! as this album is pretty big already lol

this woman has an exclusive contract for the whole album and it's releases I can see! Don;'t like her drawings and they don't look like Celine ! It looks more like a Asian woman who is pregnant. For a singlecover they should have used a pic from the videoshoot, like the one with the autumn leafs and Celine sitting on the hill.

I don't think it is intended to be a woman.

Wow!!!... You are soooo lucky to hear it all I high quality!!!.... :clap:

I stopped listening to celinedion.com although I'm in love with the album. It's so well produced and sung. You can tell they really took their time to find those songs and turn them into gold! :) and I'm telling you guys two years of intensive French classes paid off big time to fully appreciate those songs!!!! Thank you Celine for Sans Attendre. It was so worth it to wait.... :wub:

The CD picture is really nice, i like it. In the calendar there is on every page (month) a picture of a woman, like the PAMP or Album cover.

 

The booklet looks really nice, also a lot of pictures of women, with children, shoes etc. no picture of Celine. There are lyrics for all song except Ne Me Quitte Pas. I will post some pictures, this evening :))

When i choose "preview the album" it sends me to the greek radio station's site where i listened to the album the other day, is it the same for visitors from other countries?
