From what I read here, the sales for this new show aren't going too well... For example, when I bought tickets to the last show of A New Day, I tried with TC first and in a few seconds, literally, they were all sold and I didn't get any. And I remember it was the same for the general sale, only that time I just tried to see how it worked, because I had already managed to get tickets, after contacting the Caesar's Palace tickets.... booth.. how do you call that? Anyway... Me and my friend were lucky enough cause our e-mail reached this really nice guy who either already had these tickets saved for something and sold them to us at face value or he actually booked us before general sale, I don't know... Bottom line, if you don't manage to get tickets, it's really worth trying to contact people at the Colosseum by e-mail. I remember I sent my card number by e-mail, which is crazy, don't do that kids! But I was in the zone, I didn't care! And it paid off!

Now I see the tickets are available a whole day if not more... And it's the premiere! They should've sold in maximum 5 minutes...

Well if anyone ends up with two extra tickets for opening night, I'm surely wanting to buy some decent-ish ones.

I don't think I want all this VIP crud and the seats are up on the 1st mezzanine anyways.

What section is it thats the closest to the stage in the centre (aka, behind the rich diamond experience people, ha!). Is it front orchestra FF, seats 401 - 404ish?

 

I dont think I'll be booking til theres hopefully some shows toward the end of 2011 going on sale, because thats when I plan to fly from Australia to the US...

If you're willing to take the risk I'd recommend waiting until the day of and do standby. Just make sure you get there EARLY. If you're one of the first few in the front I'm 99.5% positive you'll get something...even if it's 2nd Mez.

I'm not sure if Team Celine gets better seats...but you could try calling. the number is 800-745-3000. I did this for Cher for all the times I have bought tickets and got much better seats then those that were listed as "best available" online. It wouldn't hurt

I got FF with my TC membership, but that's the best you can get if you don't buy a VIP package.

My sister and I called Vegas.com because we were considering buying from them, but what they said was that you buy the tickets from them, then you call Caesars and get your actual seat numbers from them. Seemed shady to me, obviously they do this all the time and I'm sure they buy out a certain number of seats and as a desperation buy we might have done that had we not ended up getting them from ticketmaster. But that's what vegas.com told us, you buy via them, then you call the Colosseum and get your seat assignments from them.

 

Vegas.com is a bbb.org member so the site is legit and trustworthy. Hope it helps.

They are affiliated with the colosseum. They actually get the seat selections from the box office directly.

I bought 2nd mezz tickets once and actually got rear orchestra. They did tell me that if they didn't have a seat available in that section then they would give you one that's the same or better only.

And about the ticket sales. I think they have been going really well concidering that there has been no promotion at all. Ofcourse it's surprising to see the opening night not sold out on the first day but I really think that not many people know that the tickets are on sale

And there were hardly any tickets left for the premiere when ticket purchasing was opened to the public. I tried multiple times, but nothing! The best for Sat at this point was the $175 seats....

Don't forget, guys, that this is a business. It's all about the money and everyone wants a piece of the action.

The box office has agreements with different companies to ensure that all those seats are occupied.

Ticketmaster/Ticketsnow get the largest amount as the "official" ticket sellers.

Then they allocate seats to other sites like stubhub and vegas.com. They are gaurenteed those (or better) seats.

Then they keep the best seats for the whales and other so-called VIPs to ensure that they come back to Vegas and spend money.

 

This way, they get to advertise a "sold out" show, eventhough it is not actually sold out. It may be screwed up but it doesn't make it any less true.

There are still plenty of tickets available. We just need to pay an arm and a leg to get them because these sites have a huge mark-up price.

Those scalpers are not sitting at their computers, like us, waiting for tickets to go on sale so they can buy a bulk of them to sell at a higher price. Those tickets are GIVEN to them by the box office.

 

Of course, it sucks for us because we are the minority here. Only a small amount of the audience will be true fans. That's Vegas. They don't call it Sin City for nothing.

I like to think that Celine is in denial about all of this or just plain doesn't have a clue.

I guess I just feel so bad for the fans that can't afford to travel all the way there and pay these ridiculous prices
