Edwin Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:01 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:01 PM I checked out the Vegas.com deal, but when do you find out your specfic seats? Quote
OlivierAllemagne Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:05 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:05 PM Ok maybe you bought your 275$-tickets through tickemaster ! There was not anything left at tickemaster's so i m happy to have paid a little bit more through vegas.com for the premiere (even if i end at the last rows of the FORCH zone it s always better than ORCH ) It seems there are still A-zone seats through vegas.com for the premiere if anyone is interested!! I also got a ORCH5 row M which I purchased through the team celine presale so if someone is interested. LOL no I bought them on Vegas.com as well. That is why I am surprised. Ok you should look at the final price because I paid 272 the ticket itself but there are ticket service fees and order processing fees to be added ! Quote
SuperLove4Celine Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:06 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:06 PM For now I opted to pay for tickets to go see "Wicked" with my partner, Robert, in San Francisco this coming March. (The tickets are a birthday present to him.) I was able to get front row, center stage at the Orpheum Theatre. Everything happens for a reason! Quote
nano Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:07 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:07 PM I checked out the Vegas.com deal, but when do you find out your specfic seats? When you pick up the tix. VEGAS.com sells tickets on behalf of promoters and venues which means VEGAS.com does not set the ticket prices or determine seating locations. Seating is based on best available seating at time of purchase Quote "Today, I’m a person on a path of connecting with my source and understanding that I am on the leading edge of creation.."
OlivierAllemagne Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:08 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:08 PM I checked out the Vegas.com deal, but when do you find out your specfic seats? only the day of the show... that's the problem... But anyway always better than what ticketmaster had to offer for the premiere (e.g. 2nd Mezz) Quote
Edwin Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:08 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:08 PM Hmm I might be reading too fast, but it seems some people who bought on Vegas.com know their seats already. *re-reads* Quote

SuperLove4Celine Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:32 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:32 PM Is opening night already sold out? Yes and no. The TeamCeline and normal/schmuck seats are sold out (for now). However, the "exclusive"/"elite" VIP seats are still available. Quote

Teodora Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:52 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 08:52 PM (edited) From what I read here, the sales for this new show aren't going too well... For example, when I bought tickets to the last show of A New Day, I tried with TC first and in a few seconds, literally, they were all sold and I didn't get any. And I remember it was the same for the general sale, only that time I just tried to see how it worked, because I had already managed to get tickets, after contacting the Caesar's Palace tickets.... booth.. how do you call that? Anyway... Me and my friend were lucky enough cause our e-mail reached this really nice guy who either already had these tickets saved for something and sold them to us at face value or he actually booked us before general sale, I don't know... Bottom line, if you don't manage to get tickets, it's really worth trying to contact people at the Colosseum by e-mail. I remember I sent my card number by e-mail, which is crazy, don't do that kids! But I was in the zone, I didn't care! And it paid off! Now I see the tickets are available a whole day if not more... And it's the premiere! They should've sold in maximum 5 minutes... I think it was a good idea for opening night, but it seems like you can get pretty good seats for the rest of the shows if you just buy the seats when tickets go on sale. I don't think you get a discount, either. Especially if you consider the $40 fee you have to pay for membership. Quote

eszcd30 Posted February 12, 2010 at 09:15 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 09:15 PM I checked out the Vegas.com deal, but when do you find out your specfic seats? My sister and I called Vegas.com because we were considering buying from them, but what they said was that you buy the tickets from them, then you call Caesars and get your actual seat numbers from them. Seemed shady to me, obviously they do this all the time and I'm sure they buy out a certain number of seats and as a desperation buy we might have done that had we not ended up getting them from ticketmaster. But that's what vegas.com told us, you buy via them, then you call the Colosseum and get your seat assignments from them. Quote http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/7210/celinedion1small.jpg
Edwin Posted February 12, 2010 at 09:21 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 09:21 PM I don't think its shady. It's kinda reminds me of Priceline and Hotwire work. You don't know the specific seat until later. I'd rather pay seat unknown w/ Vegas.com than out the butt through Ticketmaster But hey, that's just me. Quote
eszcd30 Posted February 12, 2010 at 09:27 PM Posted February 12, 2010 at 09:27 PM Yeah I hear ya, but if I can get a ticket with an actual seat for just slightly more, than I'm okay with that. I'm jaded by the airlines who oversell then do standby... I know it's different but I'm still jaded. And the tickets we were looking at were only a few but less... (I think) it's a fuzzy memory for me, I was frantically trying to find seats ANYWHERE... Quote http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/7210/celinedion1small.jpg

First of all, I tried to get the most expensive seat available for opening night literally 2 minutes after they started selling seats and the BEST I could get was in the 2nd Mezzanine, so I'm not sure there's a problem with seats selling. Second, how much promotion did A New Day get before tickets went on sale? Quite honestly had I not been a member of the forum I would have had NO CLUE about this show even existing. There has been next to nothing said about it, so there's a huge lack of promotion and I think that may be a reason seats aren't selling as fast as you hope, but see my first example, I don't think there is as many seats as you think there are I'm sure we'll see a lot more about in in the coming months when more details about the show come out. I'm excited! Quote
