I really hope it comes out world wide, that way the European fans can see it. But I dought it will, probably just be shown ed in Canada, and the U.S.

Celine Dion Concert Film To Hit Theaters Next Year

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Celine Dion hit five continents and 23 countries for her "Taking Chances World Tour," and now she's offering fans a glimpse that no backstage pass can offer. In the new movie, "Celine: Through the Eyes of the World," she gives cameras full access at her, her family, and behind-the-scenes of her sold out global tour.

 

The film intercuts concert performances of Celine perform her biggest hits with footage of the star traveling through different cities with her husband, her 8-year-old son, and mother, including moving family moments and also those that show the demands of putting on her extensive worldwide tour.

 

"Through this special film, audiences will also see Celine as they have never seen before as she travels and interacts with her family and creative collaborators while touring extraordinary and exotic locations around the globe," said Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures Releasing. "We believe 'Celine: Through the Eyes of the World' offers a unique perspective on Celine, her life, and her inspiring dedication to creating a stage experience like no other.

 

"This was an amazing world tour, but there's a lot more than just concert footage on this film," says Dion. "I let the cameras follow me everywhere. There are a lot of ups and downs, and it's very personal...and it's definitely the most intimate journey that I've ever shared with my fans."

 

"Celine: Through the Eyes of the World" will hit theaters in February 2010.

Hi,

 

I just checked the twitter of celinedionforum and it says that Celine through the eyes of the world will be released in theaters and DVD in February 2010. Is there a confirmation for the release of the DVD in February 2010 or did they just put it there on the twitter randomly?

daaah.. i cant wait for the official, official trailer.. not access hollywood's version. There should be one.. everyone in the US start going to the movies everyday.. i remember when the AND movie came out, I was sitting in a normal theater and saw the trailer for AND and freeeeaaaked out! They should start playing it in January I would think. ALSO... so crafty how they waited exactly a year since the tour was over to release something. I wont be able to believe it will have been a year since OMAHA in february. Wonder if they'll release it on the same day that Omaha was.. exactly 1 year from the last show... :wub: :wub:

OMD!!! I just got an email about this so I had to check to see if there was a thread about it, yes there already is... I can't wait!! I saw Michael Jackson's This Is It, since then it seems like a lot of artists have been doing these types of movies, I love it. I was hoping that Celine would. My wish has come true!!! :D

This doesn't mean that the movie will be shown in every cinema worldwide. :xmas_sad:

 

The DVD will be worldwide and it will be marketed for everyone to buy it - online and in quite a lot of stores (so worldwide).

I'm dying to see this documentary in theaters but i'm afraid I won't get the chance to. Some places I read that it's only coming in the US and on thehotticket.net it stands : In theaters everywhere.

 

I'm hoping and praying that it will come to Norway or Europe to.
