Pleasantly surprised it will be screened in TWO theatres in Omaha. I honestly wasn't expecting it anywhere close to me. I plan on seeing it on premiere night, final night and a few times in between

Edwin I never expected it to even show in WV let alone in three theaters here. One is less than a ten to fifteen minute drive from me, the other is an hour away and I think the third is like an hour or more away. I'm just glad there is a theater close to me that it's showing at.

I just received a call back from Sony (U.S.). As some of you know, currently not all the theaters (AMC for example) can validate nor have on sale tickets to Ms. Dion's film contrary to what has been posted on Sony's Hot Ticket website.

 

Sony was extremely nice and very apologetic regarding the delay of this information. Sony assured me that their goal is to have all theaters notified and tickets available for purchase by this coming Monday, February 1st. Fingers crossed!

 

Sony also stated if anyone has additional questions, to please call them on 1-877-488-4258 during the hours of Noon - 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

In my neck of the woods tickets went on sale today. I called for the first time to get infos and they told me tickets were available since today. So I ran over there as quickly as I could.

 

I wish for you to get the same answer I got when you call a cinema near you. Best of luck to you and to everyone!

the movie theater I'm going to doesn't have anything upon the site about the movie and I doubt they will till a couple weeks before its supposed to show, I probably won't be able to buy tickets till the week before. They typically don't sell tickets to far in advance here unless its like harry potter or twilight those you can get way in advance. I need to call like next week and see if they even know anything about it.

I doubt that in my city the movie will sell out period, other than myself I don't even know any fans other than the couple from the forum that are from WV.

Some additional information in my conversation with Sony U.S.. My theater was listed on "The Hot Ticket" website, yet every time I called my theater, they could not confirm that they would be showing the documentary. When I spoke to Sony last night, they verified that in fact my local theater will be showing the film and tickets should be available for purchase this Monday.

My suggestion is to wait until Monday, contact your theaters in the afternoon to see if they can confirm showing the documentary.

 

I know there are fans that live in Canada that are experiencing the same problems. I really don't know if the U.S. toll free number I provided will work when calling from Canada to the U.S. If Canadian fans are still having problems, I can contact the person I spoke to at Sony to get a Sony Canada contact number. Just post here that you are still having problems.

I must say, I will feel so much better once I can get my hands on tickets

People will flock to a Celine Dion concert but I'm worried about those going to see it in the theatre. I just dont know how well it will do. I suspect with Oprah she will really draw some attention,but if they're thinking it will do as well as the Michael Jackson documentary it wont even come close. I might be surprised, but I can't see this doing big numbers. Hope im wrong.

okay this might be far fetched, but couldn't they make Surprise, Surprise the soundtrack of the movie and make a videoclip with clips from the movie?!? I played this songs a lot during my last week holiday.... and it still just screams SINGLE!!! and it would be appropriate, cos I bet this movie will surprise people about Céline!!
