It seems that it won't show in Belgium (not that I was expecting it but you never know). Just checked the releases for the next month and no Céline movie is in the lists of the main theater group in Belgium (Kinepolis group). Also the smaller groups UGC and Utopolis haven't the movie listed.

The issues I was having with my local AMC theaters must be resolved since today I was able to purchase my tickets. Also, I saw this posted today online for Celine: Through the Eyes of the World on Cineplex Entertainment Screens Nationwide Sorry if this is old news.

This is Kerry checking in, current time is 11:11pm

The movie ended @ 9:00pm but after sticking around the theatre for a bit, hailing taxis & grabbing a bite to eat...I'm back at the hostel & by myself

 

Anyhoo...first off, this screening isn't like a big event (a la major Hollywood premieres) but there sure were A LOT of people who attended the show!

 

Quick bulletpoints:

- Only Oprah's staff were there. No Oprah or Celine...

- 2 seperate screening theatres, I guess since there were that many ppl

- We had assigned seats in the theatre and my seat was up close so my neck kinda hurt and have to shift eyes left & right more often to catch everything!

- 1 of Oprah's B-show taping producers just gave a run through protocol for tomorrow's taping

- Approx 370 ppl are expected!!! Gonna be INSANE!!!

 

Concert film itself...we clapped & cheered a lot!!

- It was in tour date order, some full songs but mostly snippets

- Ummm not sure if I want to talk about the songlist...lol!

It was a decent setlist but I'm too tired to name the songs & I kinda wanna keep it as a surprise for now. Hahaha

 

I'm going to end here for now. Not sure if I wanna reveal everything.

Have to see it for yourself but it was the best 2hrs of my life in the movie theatre!

 

Ok I'm going to sleep. Gotta wake up @ 6:30am! I've been running low on energy. I said said Hello & hugged Kim & Tracy but I think they sat in a diff screening room. I was in the same room as the 14 girls and said Hi to some but not all.

 

Cannot wait for the taping! I won't be able to tweet during the show since our phones will be checked in @ security. Hopefully I can find WiFi somewhere after the show but might be too busy eating with the gang - if we end up having a big meetup/reunion of forum members..

In "I Drove All Night" - they string multiple cities in...to make up

the full song. Other songs only lasted a good minute or so and ends up

being background music to Celine's sightseeing, etc. The French songs I

can quickly name: DUAM, PQTME, SSD...ummm I think that was it...

 

Rare

songs: A Song for You, and this unknown English song (I don't think it

was her song) that she sings in her South African leg - she does this

awesome highpitched belting thing. Also included were We Will Rock You

& Show Must Go On...

 

Anyhoo if I missed something....you'll find out when it releases!

I've been able to identify the official 'live' ABM clip - it was from Montreal. It was recorded over both nights.

 

 

-The first part, including the high note (everything up to 0:22 on the above video), was recorded on 30th August (This YouTube video is awful but you can see her hand moving before the note from 0:59 - 1:07):

I reckon they chose to use the second night for the last part because her vocals would have been better as she didn't have to do the note live, and also she touched her earpiece on the first night

I'm rather anxious about trying to call the theater here that's showing it. I'm afraid they are going to tell me they aren't getting it after all....

 

Ok so I called and was told since its not releasing this week they don't have any info yet but he did tell me a bit of good news. He said that if the website for the movie said they are showing it then they really are showing it I ask about ticket prices but I didn't fully explain that it was a special event thing so he just quoted me the normal ticket prices it says on the cinema webtiste that special event tickets are fifteen dollars.

We already know the dates and cinema chains for the uk.... just not the exact cinema's around the uk

 

Irish fans... although its not confirmed... I heard it will be released on the 19th in some places there with the odd preview before this date.

But I'm looking to have this confirmed and get more info. first of all...... just want to give you a heads up though, just incase.

It depends who owns the chain, as some chains have/own cinema's north and south of the border James....
