Concerts which should be released on DVD!

First of all - Unison and Live In Memphis - the official Sony Music home videos which has been already released a few years ago in analogue VHS or digital VCD should be released finally on DVD! And for me, it would be very exciting to have the Unison DVD (with special live show and fans event to celebrate the launch of the album taped at the Metropolis or live concerts recorded at the Montreal Forum and Winter Garden Theatre) as a part of the Unison CD/DVD Anniversary Edition...

Some of the shows they filmed over the years and that they STILL have nowadays are The Millenium Concert, Live at Winter Garden Theatre, Live in Memphis and, what surprised me the most was performances from her 1990-1991 promo tour for Unison at TV shows!. They also have the special 10 Ans Deja concert. I know this because clips from the shows I've just mentioned are shown while she performs Where Does My Heart Beat Now at her current residency show in Las Vegas.

Everybody I guess... Since they had the audio already, cause I guess they would have used the same as in the VHS, right?? Who knows why??? And since 3 performances from that show were included in the All The Way... DVD, they could have also released it on DVD

Yes, Live In Memphis was never released on CD. But Zurich live show in 1996 was recorded and came out in very hard to find limited copies as a promo CDs and it's a little bit better than nothing from Falling Into You World Tour...

It's more weird it hasn't been released on dvd yet

Like you, im still waiting for this, i remember i think song japan was going to release it, but it never happened back in 2008/9

The look is very important for an artist like Celine, but I think they gave too much credit to the blond hair back in 2003-2004. It's not my favorite Celine look, but I liked it.

I liked the look she had in the current 2007 DVD, but I don't like the voice she shows in it at all

 

So maybe Julie Snyder's team would have done a good work of editing if they had mixed the voice of 2004 with the hair of 2007

I think her voice in the 2007 Vegas DVD is much better than the 2004 Vegas CD, which I think was recorded during the blond era.

 

Her voice from 2004-2006 was the worst it had ever been. It was so nasal, like she was all clogged up!

To see the whole AND...LIL show before 2007 would have been great just to see the different songs, I wouldn't really care about the 90% of the setlist that remained the same....

 

IMO the AND...LIL dvd should have featured a bonus with ALL the songs she ever sang in the show! That would have easily been a whole concert on itself! They have it all taped I am sure! I guess it's all down to copyright and maybe the idea that we don't care about seeing TFTEISYF, ISMW, HYEBIL, TCS, ICHFILWY.... etc etc

Oh I totally believe they have an English LTAL concert on film. All the LTAL concerts had big screens inside the stadium, so they have footage from every show just from these cameras. The live music video of S'il suffisait d'aimer is an example of them using this footage, I believe this was taken from a Chicago concert in September 1998. Also, the LTAL footage we see clips of during WDMHBN in the current Vegas show is further proof they have HQ footage from the tour.

Maybe Celine Dion: The Concert was actually Live in Memphis , 'cause right before the show starts, they show a photo of Celine, the old logo and the words "Celine Dion: The Concert". I'm glad you mentioned the TV special for Incognito, I love that show, very entertaining.

In my opinion the problem was not only the color. It was a terrible hair cut!

When the A New Day... show started Celine had only 34 years old and she looked much MUCH older.

So I prefer the DVD look.

For me not important hair color or hair cut. I prefer A new day DVD 2004 cause it's different energy, so much powerful than 2007. We've lost some songs from 2004. A new day 2004 must be!!!

In my opinion they should release the 2004 version of the show regardless of the haircut now as an anniversary ediotion after more than 10 years in Vegas as a treat for her fans since nothing else is released, and they have the recordings anyway do give them to us snd make some money with it. #Win-win situation Edited April 9, 2018 at 06:14 PM by ryba
