I'm really wanting to see an early show of AND more and more lately..it's really a completely different show.

Hey guys

 

I see quite a few people would love ''A new day...'' - ( Celine with the blonde hair ) released on dvd, which I think would be a great idea!!

 

Someone in the A new day... dvd extra's, ( I can't remember exactly who ) I think it was Celine, said the dvd with the '' blonde hair '' was binned...

I wonder if it was literally binned, or was it it shelved/archived or put in a safe somewhere?!?

 

But I think if it was not actually destroyed or lost, that we should start a big petition, to get it released as a rare/collectors item.

As it would benefit everyone if it were to be released.... Sony, Productions J, Celine and Rene's company, and more importantly us the fans!

 

At the time most of us didn't like '' her look '' so it was scrapped, but now that the show has wrapped and time has past, I think everyone would pay for a copy of this dvd...

As she had a different look, different costumes, a different setlist and obviously stuff that was filmed as extra's then also.

 

'If' I can find out if it still exists, would anyone be interested in getting a huge petition started, to be passed onto Sony and Celine's people, to hopefully get this released sometime in the future??

 

We just need a huge amount of people to twist their arms into possibly making the decision to release it... and I think there is no better place of pulling this off, than this forum...

I'll check first if it still exists! lol

 

There is no harm in trying is there....

I say "WHAT DO YOU SAY TO TAKING CHANCES?!?!?" GO FOR IT DARREN!!!!! It was the first time I saw the show. Well, it was Celine with her long Brown hair, same costumes and setlist though, minus TFTEISYF and Je t'aime encore. I'd LOVE IT!!

I think I heard before that when the show was cancelled once they showed the blonde DVD on the big screen for those people? That sounds weird, but does anyone know anything more on that?

Dear Celine Fans,

 

My name is Matt and I am from the UK i had been saving you to see Celine in Las Vegas for well over a year and had managed after a lot of hard work to book tickets through a great person from concerts west who gave me seats 3rd row from the front CC412 and CC413. I thought I was in heaven. I arrived at the Colosseum around 7.15pm I wanted to go to the Celine shop first and do a bit of shopping. The main casino area in front of the entrance to it was already quite crowded and the box office was heaving with people and some of the media were gathering for the after concert media event at this time I assumed nothing was wrong i didn't see any signs or anything to say otherwise after waiting about 20 mins a rep from Caesars come up to us with a Huge pile of papers and handed us one and said 'Have you been informed there is no concert tonight?' I thought at this point they were joking and i read the letter to why it was cancelled and I was just in shock I had saved all of my money and come all the way from England to see the person who I admire the most.

 

 

The man told us that if we come back at around 8.30pm they will be letting people in to see the DVD of the show which has just been finished and everyone was able to get a free drink in the Chrysler salon. There were people being interviewed by the media next to us one lady crying and saying also how far she had come to the show and about two thousand people all looking very upset and disappointed. We waited with the others that decided to wait and were aloud in the Colosseum. Around 8.40pm everyone piled in and went to wherever they could as we had been told it was general admission which had upset some people as they as I had paid to get front row seats we queued for what seemed for ever people were getting annoyed some shouting let us in and why are we waiting the doors finally opened at 9pm and people flooded into the Colosseum only yhr first mendez was full as much people must have gone home as that show was meant to have been sold out. The stage was set ready for Celine to have been there in a blue light with a tree and glowing lampposts on stage. Around 9.10pm somebody emerged from the back of the stage it was René. Everyone quietened down as he come on he greeted it sounding quite nervous and greeted everyone some in the audience booed at him and he replied saying he understands that boo's and how upset we are and would like to apologise on behalf of Celine for her not being able to perform tonight and explained that she began to feel unwell after her WMA performance on Wednesday night and a doctor had been called out and she had a sinus infection he said she is in bed unable to speak and very depressed and upset she couldn't perform tonight. He said as a small consolation that we would be the first people to see the show recorded for the DVD. He then went of the stage again apologising on behalf of Celine we all watched the DVD in silence a few clapping through it was an amazing show i think it was worse for people to see it on the DVD as it showed what we were missing the dvd is about 1hr 45mins long as was filmed months ago when Celine had her short blonde hair.

That is the strangest thing to have done! Can't imagine going to a live concert and ending up watching a DVD!

Nice to try and do something instead, and obviously I would expect people still got a refund, but probably not the best idea. You could get quite an angry crowd in the auditorium though. Not surprised people didn't clap, what kind of reaction did they expect?

 

Obviously they decided it better to just turn people away at the door when the later cancelations happened. When my show was cancelled, it was sorry, no show, here's a press release explaining why.

 

What they should have done when Celine was sick was to say, "Sorry, but Ms. Dion has a viral infection tonight. But fear not, one of her 13 brothers and sisters will be performing for her.... ladies and gentleman, please welcome onto the stage...... Ghisilane Dion!!

I think it's weird seeing the big collesseum stage on the screen behind the stage, lol... It's like a mirror behind a mirror, or whatever, lol..I'm confusing myself.

i think they should put the phoenix arizona concert because muhammad ali was there with his family and celine was sick during the concert so she have to seriously belt out all the songs. it was just moving and she gave it her all! oh and there was this guy who got her attention by throwing his license on stage and she stopped the whole show and it was just hilarious...the best concert ever! i think they should put that one on the dvd!

It would be great to have an extra of all these small little things that happened during the run of the Vegas show, with so many to choose from, there must be several stories like that (kinda like an outakes/bloopers reel)

That would probably never happen. But you are right, based on all the stories I've read and the videos I've seen of that show, I think that was one of the most memorable shows of the tour. I mean obviously it was not her best show vocally, but it will probably show Celine at one of her low points giving it her all. I don't know there is just something special about something like that... Well I hope that they at least include some of it in the bonus part of the DVD.

Well this is part of the TCH World Tour and for all that we have to wait no much longer. I think the Taking Chances World Tour should be out from this topic and petition. We know the dvd is scheduled to be in our hands for sure, so it's useless to talk about it. That's just my opionion I think we'll have something from Phoenix..we'll see...

Anyway, we have to wait for Ire23 to receive an answer

Well we should defo see this DVD i mean there is like 8 songs there we dont see on the 2007 version, it must have been like a different show! I really hope we can have this on DVD!

 

Does anybody know if any of the dances are any different to the songs we do have on the DVD? I know that In i drove All Night celine sings the last part like on tour. And is nature BOy sang just like A New Day Has Come? in that black coat thing lol u know what i mean

Calypso, if i remember correctly, you have TFTEISYF in the wrong place. And I don't know whether or not at the time the DVD was recorded that HYEBIL was in the setlist. However, if it were, the correct setlist would look like this:

Wow, so there are more differences from 2003 to 2007 AND show then there was AND 2007 show to TC Tour 2008/2009... LOL.

 

ETA:

 

8 differences in songs PLUS...LCMM and I believe AA were performed in different versions. Remember, LCMM was sung talked through for a few minutes before entering into the Unison Rap, and I believe AA was shortened after a few years, was it not?

Wikipedia says that when HYEBIL was removed from the show, it was replaced by Je T'aime Encore. This performance of Je T'aime Encore is apparantly from the DVD (or at least that is what the description says). So if that is true, then there is no HYEBIL.

There was no Unison rap in the show at all at that point and AA was the short version, it went straight into Celine singing and had no intro.
