MJaque Posted November 22, 2008 at 09:59 PM Posted November 22, 2008 at 09:59 PM Ooo twins would be perfect for her haha. She'd spoil them to bits. I would love love love for her to have a little girl. Celine jr (I think she'd name her Karine). She'd dress her so cute in tinsy Balmain dresses . I wonder if she'd consider adopting... Anyways. I hope of course for her to take a break, but above all these projects (After a long break) I can't wait for a french album. They're always so poetic and seem to have more passion than her english albums. The Callas movie comes in second. I think she'd be a great actress and I'd be interested in seeing that. I have to wait for real confirmation on any of this before I get excited. This seems like a lot of projects...and I sorta of thought that her career was winding down in place of more family time. I would be so so so happy to get any of these new projects over retirement! The idea to play Callas is awesome, wonderful...I am amd of her french albums too they are great!!! Quote
MTJ Posted November 23, 2008 at 01:26 AM Posted November 23, 2008 at 01:26 AM (edited) The "twin" is a laboratory twin, meaning the embryo was conceived at the same time as RC. It could, by some chance, be an identical twin, but it's more likely fraternal. Besides that, Celine and Rene went back to the fertility clinic last year and created some more embryos (they have to make several because they usually implant 3 at a time) so there are plenty of chances it could be a girl. OK I don't think you people quite understand how babies are made Identical twins are 1 egg, 1 sperm splitting into two. Therefore, the new baby cannot be identical to RC. In Celine's situation there were 2 (or more) eggs taken out, each receiving one sperm. One of these eggs+sperm was put back in to become RC, the other will become new baby. I wonder how Celine would feel about us discussing her eggs.... Edited November 23, 2008 at 01:26 AM by imgoingtobiteyoure_face Quote

ZoraSourit Posted November 23, 2008 at 01:51 AM Posted November 23, 2008 at 01:51 AM (edited) Both 'babies' are just considered twins because they were supposedly conceived at the same time. So technically they are 'twins'. But RC and his twin don't share exactly the same genetic information, so they are not really twins. Did I made myself clear? lol It's a bit confusing. That's why I said they would more than likely be fraternal twins, because each embryo is made of one egg and one sperm. Not a single embryo that split in two. The reason we were referring to identical twins is because of an interview Celine did years ago, when she said she heard of a situation where someone had a baby using IVF, and years later they had another one, which somehow managed to be the identical twin of the first baby. I don't know how, I'm not a scientist, but that's what Celine said and she wondered if it would happen to her. Quote

Céline's Blues Posted November 23, 2008 at 02:32 PM Author Posted November 23, 2008 at 02:32 PM I think we have to do a new forum rule with Bellamy about the new French album. If you are completely neglecting to looking forward to it, you should be banned immediately. I think that rule would sound nice. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
Elaine Posted November 23, 2008 at 02:51 PM Posted November 23, 2008 at 02:51 PM (edited) They're translating Claude's songs for the next album but not any of her French songs? Interesting. It's not excluded for more of her own french song(we never know), she already did it in the past with "Je sais pas"(I don't know), "Pour que tu m'aimes encore"(If that's what it takes) and "Vole"(Fly) plus Let your heart decide....etc.. But for now it's been said(by Claude himself) that they were looking at Claude's repertoire to see which one Céline would want to do as an english version for an upcoming album. Céline has wanted to that with some of Claude's songs for years. Claude wouldn't do english version of his song in Québec he said but he would be honoured that Céline did it he said. Those Claude songs I adore(lyrics and music) both are very inspiring and unique. Can't wait! Great idea, it would give substance(about lyrics) wishing they find someone who can do it right in english and translate in a way they keep the essence of the poetry . Si Dieu Existe (If God Exists) would be interesting in English. What a surprising title that would be for a Celine song in English... As long as the English songs try to keep the same essence as the French ones , I believe it'd be really great! I really love If that's what it takes, Fly and etc, but the reality is that when songs are translated they never have the same essence, and a song which could have been extremely awesome becomes just a good one, you know. I'm not saying it's not a good idea because I really like it. My point is that maybe our expectations would be too high just because we're talking about Dubois's songs, and then we would get disappointed when we don't see a French album inside an English one... I'm feeling kind of mixed about all this news. As a fan, I think it's great that we have so much to look forward to. It's always great to look forward to a new Celine album and from that respect the speculation of new french and english projects is great. However I have to admit, that I thought after this tour we would kind of have a little Celine break. Most importantly for her - I mean when you think about it, she's been going non-stop since A New Day Has Come came out in 2002. I agree with you on that, but that would mean that I would die for the second time in my life. Plus, my opinion is that we all assume what Céline feels and what she wants, so we keep on telling everyone that would listen that's she's tired and that she needs a break and that she needs a new baby bla bla bla. But the truth is we can't read her mind and nor René's. The only thing we know for sure is that she'll record a new French album, she'll come back to Vegas eventually and she has many other projects... So that tells me we're just assuming wrong things... Prince Whiskers Posted November 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM Posted November 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM Didn't Celine also record an English version of La Diva? It'd go pretty well with the Claude songs. Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
