- new songs about love written by JP Ferland for Céline. Seems like the next French album will be her best one yet.

 

- possible English song adaptations sung with Claude Dubois

 

- Ginette Reno has written a script to a film and wishes Céline to take the lead there

I don't know about the French album's release date. It can't be soon enough tho. I'm so bored of her now. I need quality at last.

 

JP Ferland quality - he is the perfect man for writing Céline songs. HE knows how to work them words. Not as tragic as JJG he is but tragically romantic which I would find refreshing in the midst of crap she's been putting out recently.

BTW she and Rene chose some French songs originally sung by Claude and they decided to take them and translate them into English. May be for the next English album, who knows. Solo versions, of course. Céline only.

No One Kisses Like You might just make it to her next English album w/c I suppose will be ballad-heavy.

You have to think maybe se got a little wiser here with the English songs. Perhaps she for once read the lyrics of 99% of her English songs and then compared them to the translations of Claude's songs and thought: "Oh Reney...so honoured...they sound so nice! May I sing them, may I, may I???" And she did.

 

It would be really nice if we got some quality injected into her English repertoire. Agreed - Claude's songs may seem like a VERY safe choice but if that is what it takes to lift her from this big "I dunno what I am and dunno what to sing in English so I will sing aynthing that is thrown at me"-attitude so be it! I'd be all for it.

 

Meanwhile the French album sounds sooooooooooooo promising. JP Ferland is her fellow Quebecois who followed her whole career long before she met JJG. That's why I pray he writes at least 6 songs out of the 12 that will be on the French CD. His perspective of writing is sugary sweet but with his feet on the ground, nothing over the top. And he knows how to complement Céline's vocals with appropriate lyrics. His song "No One Kisses Like You" that he wrote for Céline may find its way onto the English album as well. That would be thrilling as well but I'm way more thrilled for the French album.

To Las Vegas or Monaco...

 

Think about Celine, she wouldn't do Monaco. She's like most Canadians -she likes Vegas and Florida.

 

I think it makes perfect sense that she'll move back to her house in Vegas after the tour. It's RC's home and I bet she'd want to have her new baby there, as well. Then again, I don't know how that would work with the Callas movie... maybe she'll build a movie company in LV. Or maybe she'll work on it in LV and film it in Paris (and live in her new house for a while). Or maybe they won't go to LV and they'll just move to Paris (and Florida in the winter). Oh Celine, you're so difficult to predict.

It sounds promising. But another english album I'd rather have one(or maybe, two) quality french albums than some rushed up english album. If she's translating some/certain french works, I hope she at least incorporates some musical influences from 1Fe4T

 

So, the rumours about Vegas seems to become a reality after all If she sticks there for another 5 years, I'd rather have Mariah dominate the world again and Celine be lost to oblivion

MOST OF ALL I want Céline and René to have a second child together!!

 

A new quality English album (or French) sounds amazing, but what's the point of a brilliant album, if she'll waste her talents and songs in another vegas run, where the setlist will be the 75 facking % same as the last freaking 14 years (by then)... If she'll dare to 'perform' TPOL, TLYM and MHWGO in the exact same way, really I swear, I will stand up and BOO her!

If any of the forementioned projects happen i'll be happy. Remember she could just retire and not do anything. Its what she almost did when Rene-Charles was born. So let's just keep our fingers crossed that at least one of these projects actually happen in a couple of years time. I know i can't wait - 2010 seems so far away

that all sounds really exciting! to be honest, I dont mind what she does as long as she doesnt retire. if im still able to buy new albums and see her live (yes, even if it is back in Vegas!) then I'll be happy. I hope and pray that she and Rene have another child... she definitely needs a break of some kind!
