There was no commercial CD single for "Water From The Moon", only the 1 track promo CD.

Yeah the one with the radio edit but I didn't know that there was no commercial CD

And what about "If walls could talk", it was cancelled but I saw a cd once on eBay, it's a fake CD, isn't it?

I think it is, I never ever saw that item anywhere nor somebody owning it...

I would think it is likely to be fake as well. I have it as Existence Never Confirmed on the discography site. Pity though, it would be a lovely release. Hope we are proved wrong one day.

I've just received my Was Bedeute ich Dir, why is the label Columbia ? is it the same columbia like today ?

 

Front and back of the sleeve are exactly the same, is that normal ?

No it actually isn't the same Columbia that we now know. I believe that the German company Electrola and the British Columbia Gramaphone Company merged to form EMI. That's why you see Electrola, Columbia and EMI all on the sleeve. The actual company was EMI by this stage. Although the record has Columbia highly prominent on the vinyl, this would have been part of a slow phase out of that name. The U.S. Columbia is a different company, there was probably a buy out of the name along the way.

 

Oh and nearly forgot, Yes the cover is the same both sides.

- This complete best was sold by the seller with promo postcards (see photo below), on the back it's written "Promo use only. Not for sale". Anyone knows where these postcards come from, where they sold with Complete Best in Japan ? (Maybe I should actually ask the seller though, but if you have info, please tell lol )

Taking Chances song was used in television advertising spots "Four Seasons" for Japanese car model Toyota Wish.

Is it just a concert or something totally different?

Yeah, a DVD... as if! This is Sony we're talking about. We'll never see Memphis or this one on DVD. Or Olympia for that matter, although I'd give anything to se the latter at all.

I would love to have a Unison collectors edtion! But even if they did release one I doubt they would be as generous as that! I think D'eux 15 is the best Legacy release we have. ANDHC was just old material apart from the 3 extra music videos, and the TAST CBS Special was shortened. But even D'eux could have been better, as they could have actually found the original cover design files and reworked them instead of scanning everything and making a pretty rubbish booklet.

 

This is completely off-topic, but was the LAP DVD just a transfer from the VHS? The picture quality is pretty bad even when I play it in the HD-upscaling Blu-ray player - especially the wide angle shots, it looks far worse than normal DVDs. Surely the master tapes would be better quality than what they have released? I wish they would get those master tapes, digitally remaster the concert and release it in Blu-ray! And possiblly re-edit the footage too so there aren't any awful drum-roll camera flashes that trigger epileptic fits! I hate it when they do things like that - the editing ruined ACDS in my opinion...

And I think the new version of "D'eux" is unbelievable! I love the demos, and all those kind of stuff and they did a great Job!

I agree there's not a great deal of hope for any of these titles being released on DVD. Although, apparently all of Mariah Carey's early videos have been re-released on DVD, so maybe there's some small hope for similar treatment for "Unison" and "Live in Memphis".

While I'd love to see such a release as much as you, in fairness to Sony, I find it hard to construct a business case for it. Musically and artistically, "Unison" wasn't particularly groundbreaking and it's sales, while nothing trivial were not exceptional. Don't get me wrong: it's a good album and I love listening to it. I just can't imagine that there'd be enough sales to justify this kind of project (or at least in the form we'd like to see it).

 

Maybe our best hope is a 15th anniversary version of "Falling Into You" next year? But again, I wouldn't be too optimistic.

I think someone either knew or speculated that the "Live a Paris" DVD was a transfer from the LaserDisc?

 

I hate to be a party pooper, but while I'd love a digitally remastered Blu-Ray release of "Live a Paris" as much as everyone else here, I can't really imagine a sufficient market for it to justify the expense.

I wouldn't think it would be too much of surprise to see Falling Into You released as a 15th (or 20th anniversary special edition) It was album of the Year at the Grammys after all. I am still dissapointed about the Unison one, but maybe for the 25th. (yeah right)

 

Realistically I don't know how long more CD's are going to be commercially viable, so teh sooner Celines get re-released as S.E.'s the better.

 

On a side note, did anyone hear bid for, and win, that VH1 Divas Sampler that went on Ebay today. It sold for $148.

I found the promo CD for Alone once but I forget to bid, stupid me! I can't find it anymore!

You are looking for really rare items, however, good Luck and I hope some people will help you as some lucky fans here already have them all.
