Celine is sick (respiratory virus)

SO yes this sucks but this is what im thinking - when we get sick and we have to stay at home for such a long time, I atleast am ready to get back out there! Its like bedrest, - she's probably so ready to go back on tour! Maybe she feels pretty rested and its just a matter of making sure this virus is gone! I DUNNO, i guess I'm just trying to look for the best! Atleast she's getting a break and will be pumped to get started again! Shes a strong woman, she's not going to let a virus get her too far down! AND she's definitely not going to let US down! =) Keep your heads up guys! =)

 

I'm still so sorry to those who've had their shows postponed, I'd be in a state of devastation! I don't know how you all are dealing with it! THen again, all three of my shows are within two weeks in January, I hope she's not sick that long! THEN i'd really worry! =(

 

YAY for all the cards, I'm sending mine out today, with extra postage just to make sure it doesnt get hung somewhere in the mail!

Nearly a year she's running the planet with concerts every 2 days, interviews on regional tv, and and... So if she's sick now or recovering from illness, it doesn't surprise me at all. Yes, it's frustating for the fans, but I'm sure she's feeling sorry and stuck.

 

Let just be positive and wish her to come back better than ever.

Maybe they will postpone the Montreal shows until after all of the rescheduled shows so that it will still be special. I do hope she gets better soon. It was stated as a recurring illness, so obviously when she gets run down there is a likely chance that it will come back She needs to take it easy when she is able to return.

 

I hope you are getting lots of rest, Celine, and only come back when you are ready. Don't rush it. I'm really concerned for you and wish for you to be healthy

okay, i have my card ready to send tomorrow! (today is Sunday, no mail)

 

I included a little plaque that says "That little voice inside your head that says ,Buy The SHOES... thats the one to listen to!!" haha, i found it at the card store and thought it was adorable!

 

I'm sure with every passing day she is feeling better and better, the reason for all the future postponed shows is probably just a business savvy decision to make sure this illness is REALLY gone before they start back up and have to start postponing again!

I went all out...couldn't help myself. I had to let Celine know how greatly she's cared about. I sent a beautiful flowering plant with a teddy bear and a get well balloon. It should arrive to Productions Feeling in Laval on Tuesday. I sent an additional note asking for them to somehow deliver it to her home on Ile Gagnon. Hey, you never know...it could happen! My family supported me because Celine is a part of all our lives now. We're hopelessly in love with the magical, god-sent Celine Dion!!

For people sending her get well greetings from the US you CAN just use US postage stamps to send it (if it's a card)

The only thing is you'd have to guess how many stamps to use.

Speaking as someone who had a show postponed (the one that was supposed to take place this friday Nov. 21)I thank you for a new way of looking at the postponement. I just hope I can stand the suspence of another 2 and a half months of waiting.

I put 90 cents on the letter, hopefully that will be enough. We only had 39 and 2 cents, so I have a bazillion 2 cents and 2, 39 cents. Hopefully they will accept it. I drew all over for her, but the stamps covered up [Get Well Celine], and now that I think about it, I forgot to rewrite it

she must feel like total crap to be willing to add dates after the date she was supposed to finish as we all know that she wanted to try for a baby which is is excited for. if she was all able to, i'm sure she'd rather perform than push the end of the tour back until March. she must be feeling very unwell poor thing!

I think we have to remember that it takes awhile for someone who has been singing for so long and going on tour to recover fully to sing again after being sick. She has to be able to sing and not re-infect everything again.
