MINNEAPOLIS CONCERT RESCHEDULED TO DECEMBER 18, 2008

November 4 , 2008

 

Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, Celine Dion's concert at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, originally scheduled for October 30th, has been moved to December 18, 2008. Celine was forced to postpone the October 30th concert last week after being diagnosed with a recurrent naso-pharyngeal infection. The singer's physician, a leading ear-nose-throat specialist in Montreal, instructed her to refrain from singing for 5 days in order to fully recover.

 

All tickets for the October 30th and the originally rescheduled February 5th, 2009 date will now be honored on December 18th, 2008. For fans unable to attend the December 18th concert, a refund will be available at original point of purchase.

 

Celine's next show on her Taking Chances World Tour on Friday, November 7th at the Scotiabank Place in Ottawa is scheduled to go ahead as planned.

Oct. 30th show was RESCHEDULED AGAIN!!!

 

It was re-scheduled to be February 5th, but has suddenly changed again to December!

Sunday's Celine Dion concert rescheduled

A Celine Dion has rescheduled her concert scheduled for Sunday at Conseco Fieldhouse to Dec. 21.

 

AEG Live, promoter of Dion's Taking Chances World Tour, said the show scheduled was postponed while the performer recovers from a recurrent naso-pharyngeal infection that was complicated by inflamed vocal cords.

 

Dion's physician has instructed her to refrain from singing to completely recover, according to the statement released by AEG Live. Earlier this week, Dion canceled shows in Chicago and Minneapolis.

 

AEG Live stated that tickets sold for the show scheduled for Sunday will be honored Dec. 21. Fans unable to attend the rescheduled concert can obtain a refund

Yeah especially if there is inflammation on her vocal cords now, there is no chance to take. I guess doing this show brought some complications that were to be expected if she wasn't fully recovered. She probably had to try once though. The way she uses those vocal cords in some songs, of course she has to take good care of them, of herself. But I'm sure she has a good doctor helping her to take the right decisions. Poor darling! It's too bad for the fans but Céline must be so down too... Please take care girl!

How terrible for those fans travelling from afar, but our chanteuse must care for herself first and foremost.

Yeah. That's what my Mama told me when our shows were postponed- it's easy to be upset or get a bit mad, but remember Celine is feeling 100 times worse than we are, and her health is the most important thing.

 

 

As far as we know no more shows are postponed, but that really depends on how quickly she recovers. They may not announce it until a day or even a few hours before.

This is exactly what I said earlier. The doctor shouldn't say she's good enough todo a concert, but say

she is completely recovered to continue the tour. What a mistake. Now it will likely take longer

for her to recover. I hope it is not too much longer. It makes her and us sad, but it makes her schedule

exausting for December. At least Christmas will be soon after for her to rest again. It sucks that her whole break she was sick. The longest I was sick was 2 weeks with a bad throat and cough and all that other

stuff, but as soon as I recovered a day later I got the flu for 3 days.

I hope the doctor doesn't make the mistake of sending her out again.

Yes. She postponed 2 shows, performed 1, and now postponed another one. She was probably just eager to get back to it as soon as possible and thought she'd be ok. I'm sure she doesn't want to let anyone down.

the worst thing is that her next bigger break is getting shorter as they are rescheduling the shows for december.... she still have so many concerts to perform... I'm sorry for fans but more for her as it's all so difficult for her because of the health but also of the love to the fans

 

 

I'm afraid Celine can cancel more shows as Barnev has quote on his facebook that he is in Montreal for a week
