Davey84 Posted July 29, 2008 at 09:26 PM Posted July 29, 2008 at 09:26 PM yeah but then you'd have something like Ricky Martin's albums; 8 new songs, 5 again repeated in Spanish... HAH, IDK, ITWIT, F, JTAE are enough imo I don't think Quebec would have responded well either to more English covers of Incognito ... I think they would have bashed her even more, for using her french hits and trying to make it on the English market with those hits, but then in English! Javito Posted July 29, 2008 at 10:09 PM Posted July 29, 2008 at 10:09 PM I KNOW! if they would have looked at Madonna's concerts they could have learn how to update a very old song, and make the crowd go wild for it! I'm not saying I Feel Too much should be played the same, that would be too outdated, but they could have made the music more modern! I can imagine an updated I Feel Too Much or Unison today and they would sound fresh like a TC song Howly cow, you got me crazy these days with the Unison album!! I think I'm going to take it with me for vacations next week! Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Prince Whiskers Posted July 30, 2008 at 11:46 AM Posted July 30, 2008 at 11:46 AM Celine doesn't like "Unison" that much actually. She took much, much less instructions from her producers (preferring to rely on her own instincts instead) while recording "Celine Dion" which is naturally her most authentic English album to date. Black Kitten Posted July 30, 2008 at 04:40 PM Posted July 30, 2008 at 04:40 PM if i'm going to pick my personal favorite from Unison, that would be If We Could Start Over. very 80's, but very relevant during the time of the album's release. on "celine dion", it would be Halfway to Heaven and Nothing Broken But My Heart. i would kill just to hear celine sing these songs live. Hilda Posted July 30, 2008 at 04:53 PM Posted July 30, 2008 at 04:53 PM (edited) oh my god a men to nothing broken but my heart - its in my top three fav celine songs. haha ive decided! yeh no for me celine dion is listened to alllll the time practically - its always about - more so than lets talk about love, falling into you....actually more than any of her albums i think. and half way to heaven is like a cosmic helping of double chocolate fudge cake!!....delicious!!! Davey84 Posted July 30, 2008 at 05:58 PM Posted July 30, 2008 at 05:58 PM yeah that one is amazing! I don't think it's a mix though... more the 'demo' cut for the album, and they shortened it in the end, when the album got released Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Davey84 Posted July 30, 2008 at 06:21 PM Posted July 30, 2008 at 06:21 PM well that's my guess... since it comes from the album sampler, which is usually released before the album release Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
SensationalCeline Posted July 30, 2008 at 09:14 PM Posted July 30, 2008 at 09:14 PM I just got Incognito and I didn't realize that Have a Heart was the same (well same melody) as Partout Je Te Vois. I found that interesting but I still love the Unison album. I love the photoshoot that went with it too. I found that interesting but I still love the Unison album. I love the photoshoot that went with it too. I prefer the arrangements of the english Have A Heart, they are better worked than the french version, especially Céline's choirs The Unison ps is brilliant, unfortunately they barely used it in the booklet (as always ) but there are many different pictures Have you realized how many thousands of dollars they spent on each album photoshoot and how little they show it?? This costs a lot of money and I'm sure people who have worked for Céline would have liked their work to be shown! (the best example is ANDHC photoshoot, who is almost totally unknown in the album booklet, also Unison as I said, Celine Dion, TCOML... ) Shame! Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Black Kitten Posted July 31, 2008 at 12:41 AM Posted July 31, 2008 at 12:41 AM the funny thing is, the first time i played NBBMH, i really laughed very hard. on the last part of the song, there are parts when i thought the song is about to end, then suddenly celine will scream again and i said to myself "oh my shut up celine and end the song!" bec. i felt that the ending was too long. but nonetheless, i still think it's a masterpiece. i so love it. thanks Davey. i think i saw that performance, but what i meant is i really want to see/hear her sing those songs again now (which i think is quite impossible as she already abandonned Unison and celine dion). I love love love how this song has three versions coz depending on my mood i can switch between hehe. Javito Posted July 31, 2008 at 11:31 AM Posted July 31, 2008 at 11:31 AM (edited) I think that all Celine's songs should be played loudly. No no no Not for Taking Chances album, or your ears will be seriously damaged after the 3rd song can't agree with u more. the sound quality of the TC cd is awful (not as poor as LTAL though). In my case I'm not against the sound, but Céline's vocals. She abused in this album of her high-key notes, she chose many songs in which she could scream her heart out and that's not nice during the whole 70 minutes of a long album. Your head can be crazy at the 6th song and can ask you to stop the music after the high note on That's Just The Woman In Me. But your ears thank you when Skies Of L.A arrive A good album must combine calm and soft songs with others in high-key. It can be ballads, uptempo songs, dance or whatever style, that's indifferent, because we can have a great dance song with splendid soft low-key vocals and a deafening slow song that you can't stand (like New Dawn ). And I would shot a "careful Céline" for her next album, because this is one of the main reasons why many people can't stand Céline: because of the screaming mood. When I started buying her cds people asked me what I was listening and why I liked her that much, and they told me "Céline?. Ah yes, that screaming singer!" And I was like because I didn't see it that way, I didn't understand why they saw her that way, but now I realize. Some of her songs can be annoying for some people just because of her high-key notes. They recognize she has an amazing voice and she is a great singer (they really do!) but they can't understand why she has to scream her heart out that much when its not necessary. They see her like a singer that is scraming in all the songs, almost all the time (we know its not true because we know her full discography, but people that sees her in the TV or in concerts don't ). And haven't you happened to think sometime, when you are listening a song, "Gosh, how beautiful it would have been if she had sung this line or this verse in a low-key and not that high"?. A high note is 100 times beautiful when its well used in the right place of a song, than using it continuously all the song through. That's why I think ANDHC is one of the best albums of Céline, and in french she has a perfect tracklist in SSDA Edited July 31, 2008 at 11:43 AM by Gonzalillo Quote "Hush, now... OMG i cant agree with a new day has come though. i think thats her most bland and unadventurous album ever in my opinion. But regarding song pace and tone then it is quite varied Edited July 31, 2008 at 11:42 AM by Hilda Quote
