This album has been a another debut, after the huge success of Quebec. This has been his first tentative to have a career in all the world. This album has released in first in Canada in april 1990. The debut of the album has been very difficult in English Canada, the first single has been a moderate success in the charts (peaked the top 40), but it not help to push the album sales outside the Quebec. The second single, the titled song, has been remixed with a part of rap for the released in single, but it has been failed to have a impact in the radios and the charts (with the flop, the song has never released outside the Canada). The success has finally arrived with the single Where does my Heart Beat Now, peaked the top 10 in 1991 and helped the album to peaked the top 20 and has been also the biggest success single of the album. With the success of this single, surfacing of the success, Celine released The Last to Know with a commercial success, peaked the top 20, confirmed the new notority of Celine in English Canada and the album received his two first Juno of his career: Best female Artist of the year and Album of the Year.

 

In US, the album has been released in september 1990, for prepare the released, Celine appared in the Tonight Show for the promotion of the album and the first US single. This album have been a good promotion, exemple in Los Angèles posted a picture for the album in the street with the new album of George Michael, for promote Celine for this city. Depiste the album never have a success, the album has been notable to produced his first US hit: Where does my heart Beat Now: peaked in n.4. The success of the single open all the doors in US and attired to attention for Disney for recording the song for Beauty and the Beast.

I've been listening to UNISON a lot lately.

 

It's fun to go back and listen to her during that time.

 

The album has lot of gems on it. And some amazing vocals. Even a lot of the 80s/early 90s arrangements that I used to hate are fun and "back in style" now.

 

WHERE DOES MY HEART BEAT NOW is such a strong first single for her. I'm glad that's her first English single. Still a fantastic track after all these years.

I love this album but it needs a good remastering sooooo bad. When you turn up the volume very high you can hear the sound distortion in the most unpleasant way (particularly in I'm Loving Every Moment With You, I Feel Too Much)

Except her native Canada, this has been released in third single, because this album has been released two singles before: Any Other Way in march 1990 with a moderate success in English Canada (peaked the top 40) and the title song (in June 1990) has been failed to impact to the charts and the radio. Where Does my Heart Beat Now has been released in the same time in Canada and US in october 1990 and the song has been his first english hit, this song marked the debut of the success in Canada and US.

Wow, this is first time i look the video when Celine wins the trophy and this i am my day. Also, at this gala, Celine sings his breaktrought song Where Does My Heart Beat Now.
