I just wish they would have kept at the Taking Chances image, I love the album, I love the songs I think it's great for her, it just had to be done better.To be honest the change wasn't subtle enough though. I don't think now that her contract is over that she will be releasing any new English album soon. Bless her for that. The charts clearly say nobody wants to hear her singing her guts out in English so she better stops hurting ppl's membranes, Dejvej!

 

 

well I still wanna hear her sing her guts out, so I'd say bring it on! people aren't forced to buy her but I do hope the next album she releases is the soundtrack for the Callas movie

 

I never thought of it that way, this set does "erase" any of the "edginess" that Celine tried to pull out with TAKING CHANCES. Ugh.

beside the fact that a Callas cd wouldn't be English, it also woulnd't be original, cos it would be mostly covers! BUT it will be original in a way that we'll hear Céline sing like she never sang before!

I was thinking on either buying the European version of the Ultimate Collection (which i find more interesting than the US version) or just the single of A World To Believe In (Japanese version) which includes My Love Live and There Comes A Time.

Bought my CDs. I saw a few other people picking them up when I did! The album art is SOOOOO gorgeous, it's awesome online, but even better in person. They have like a watermark of each album cover on the pages inside of the album book where the song information is and the note from Celine is so cute!

Just picked my "Ultimate Essential" at Wal-Mart....however they had twice as many "Essential" Collections over the two-disc one, which is stupid! There were only 4 "Ultimate" editons left when I purchased mine.

 

Oh, it's a beautiful CD...gotta love the old-jewel cases

A hot flash of neon is shaking up the rock acts at the top of the midweek albums chart as Pink’s new studio album, Funhouse (RCA), makes a firm impression at number one. Funhouse is currently edged ahead of Snow Patrol who hold second place with their new studio album, A Hundred Million Suns (Fiction).

 

AC/DC look set to enjoy healthy second week of sales with Black Ice which is currently holding strong in third place, ahead of Bloc Party’s new album, Intimacy (Wichita).

 

Elsewhere in the top ten it’s beginning to look decidedly like the fourth quarter with a Celine Dion Greatest Hits (RCA) and Daniel O’Donnell studio album (DMGTV) making their presence felt. Meanwhile a healthy start for The Saturdays with their debut album, Chasing Lights (Fascination).
