Yeah im 15 soon and Ive been a fan since i was 12-13 ish Ever since i saw A New Day , changed my view of celine completely. just wish i had saw it earlier!

i always loved celine because of my mother , i had a few songs on my ipod , but then i saw a new day on tv and i was just blown away , now i have all her songs on my ipod hah

i'm 15 and i'm so happy i discovered celine 2 years ago! She has become my role model, and i think she's really someone worth looking up to! unlike those other trashy singers like Britney Spears, i don't have anything against her, but she's far away from a good role model...

I have also changed as a person after i started to listen to celine! Think i've become more kind and stuff like that! a couple of years ago i used to argue with my dad all the time, now i can't remember the last time we had a fight !

 

So for everyone that's not a Céline Dion fan, they're really missing out on something great!

I have just turned 14 years old and I have loved Celine since Christmas 2007. In my last year of primary school I was teased so much about Celine being my idol. It was so bad that some days I didn't even want to go to school but I had amazing friends who always stood up for me and I am very thankful for that.

I'm 15, and i've been a an of celine's since the first time i ever watched titanic when i was 7, which makes it 8 years as a celine fan! so many kids and teacher's at school take every opporutnity they can to wind me up and comment about celine, but i always have a comeback! although there is one teacher who loves celine too, so we always have celine on in class, it's great. I always have my celine keyrings on my bags and stuff at school and my celine bag-which i LOVE!! Non=uniform days always equal jeans and a celine t-shirt, and i pretty much wea my a new day all the time. And yeah people take the mick and have a go now and again but seriously who can argue with 200+million albums sold ???

Wow you guys have been a fan of her for a long time! I haven't (in like a year and a half) but I'm 13 now and I'm sure I will be a fan until the day I die!

 

You're all so right about that a lot of people thinks it's weird that we like Celine coz we are so young, but who cares?

Some peolpe in my school don't even know who she is and I always have to say "You know the one who sung My heart will go on in Titanic" And everybody goes like "Ahh her!"

 

I'm already saving money to some day get the chance to see her live and I've saved like 20% and yet no one's taking me seriously. They say "When you get another idol..." So for the last time: I WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER IDOL!!! So maybe some day I can see her live, but that's not my biggest dream, my absolutly biggest dream is for her to be happy and right now she will be happy if the IVF works so that's my biggest dream.

 

I love her so much and I always will no matter what!

When i read your posts,i see myself again being 16 when i first heard her singing and started loving her so much.It has been full 8 years since then.I can tell you just one thing.Don't bother yourselves with other people who don't get you.They only think you're young and the things might change.Well,it doesn't have to be that way.They were talking the same thing for me too,so ignore that and follow your heart.Be strong to confront to bad people and stick to your dreams.We will maybe meet us in Vegas soon

Some people don't understand, while they waste their time listening to rap/crap. But, luckily I'm not the only person at my school who likes her (loves her). When I told my friends I liked Celine, one of them actually said "Isn't she dead?" That really hurt me, to know that someone actually thought that. But, she said she confused her with 'Selina' The mexican singer that was killed by her manager. But now my friends are very understanding about it, so when they hear me listening to her slower ballads, it's not like they make fun of me. I'm not sure what about her I like so much... I just like everything about her, how she got famous, all her songs, and her personality (at least the personality portrayed through media). In my perspective, now a days music makes people stupid, I'd rather listen to Celine

hahaha that reminds me if yesterday when my friend said "Isnt Celine Dion 69 years old? Isn't she also Italian?" haha at first I was like what! Even my friend who doesn't like Celine was mad but on the end we just laughed about it. But he also thought Mariah was 49...haha

It's nice to read what's written here. While reading i'm going back to my beginnings with Celine's music too. Like knfscruff i knew some of her hits and herself as a celebrity before starting to love her. Back in the day when "That's The Way It Is" single was released i watched a promo about her All The Way... A Decade Of Song album and i suddenly decided to buy it. I was 11 years old. It's impossible to describe what i felt when i heard this album for the first time, i just "died". This was my first time listening to such type of music so it was really way too much of a smash. Only six months later i already had 5 more albums and i felt it in my heart that this is going to continue on and on till forever! Celine's vocal clearness and power is her most influential instrument, she enters directly in your heart with her singing, without passing through the mind first. And then i LOVE the polished and beautiful sound of the music around her voice, especially in the ballads. I can't even describe it well, it's a pure magic!

A lot of people laughed at me on school back then, but i actually never cared about what they were thinking, 'cause i knew they were stupid so there's no need to explain anything. Now all my friends know that i love this kind of music (with Mariah, Barbra, Sarah Brightman, Eros Ramazzotti sitting next to Celine) and they respect that fact, some of them even like some songs.

We all are happy on here, because we made the right choice about music by choosing the timeless, eternal music and not the one-day craps.

I am 14 years old (almost 15) and I have liked Celine since I can remember. My mom was a fan and played Celine's music in the car all the time. When I was 3 I used to sing along to MHWGO every time it came on the radio! I can remember several other times when Celine was a part of my childhood. i'm 18 but to everyone younger than me.. really take advantage of everything this site has to offer from celine's early career. there's a whole world of celine that i found has absolutely amazing songs that i never would have known about because i was too young to realize who she was.. plus it killed me to find out her tour came to my hometown in 1996 and I was only 5... wow

 

but i first became a fan of the voice when i was young and heard girls at my dance studio dancing to think twice and all by myself among others and then around ANDHC era i put a face and name to the voice and got to discover everything about her from the forum here soooo

 

it really is a great place to learn more about celine and to be able to talk to people who feel the same way you do because NONE of my friends like celine they like the commercial music as well which comes and goes whereas celine will be around forever..

Hi, I'm just like you. I'm about you're age and people laugh at me all the time because I like Céline. Sometimes it makes me so mad when they never stop insulting her, but I learned to deal with it. I'm so different from everybody else, but I grew to like it. It's a quality, you know, anyway that's how I see it. People will insult me and laugh at me because of the music that I listen to. People often make fun of me because I'm the only one who listens to french music. At school, I'm even known as the CélineFreak, but she's such a good person and is someone that I look up to, so I just ignore it now. They don't know what they are missing. I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one that is living this situation. I'm happy to know that I'm not alone. Everybody listens to American rap and that type of music while I'm listening to Céline but I find that her messages are so much more human. I love it that I can finally meet people that are going through the same thing. I also get told on a daily basis that Céline is old. She is really not that old, 42 isn't old! I have all her albums and since I saw her movie Celine: Through the eyes of the World, I love her even morebecause she is so human. People think I only like her for her music, but it's so much more than that, it's the person she is. She is so funny, she always makes me laugh, no matter what. She is unique and special and that's why people love her. Well, I'm just so happy to finally be able to see that I'm not the only one that's going through this everyday. We are different, we are proud, I think that's a great thing!

She some kind of rescues my life whenever I'm down and just want to give up or run away. Children can be very mean. Celine has been my favorite singer since I was about 5. Everyone thought it was weird and I got made fun of quite a bit in middle school. I fell in love with her voice, not so much the songs, as I couldn't really understand what they were about. I can remember lying on the carpet listening to the prayer, and immortality, and trying to write out the lyrics. Her voice was just so beautiful, I couldn't understand why other kids didn't like it.

 

I'm 21 now. And she will always be my favorite singer.

I remember in 2008, my Mam, my Sister, my Grandmother, my Aunt and I went to see Celine in Croke Park. As we were going through the entrance to get to our seats, our tickets had to be checked, my Sister was nine at the time and as she handed the man her ticket he said ''wow, you must be the youngest person here! I think you're the luckiest little girl in Ireland''
