OK... My review of KL. Hmm... where to start?

 

While all the "fun" was happening at the hotel press-con, I had just arrived in KL from Shanghai at around 3.45pm. It took me a while before I got to the stadium. By then, it was 5pm and the whole happening scene at the hotel had just finished.

 

I arrived at the Stadium to hear Céline rehearsing. I went in to collect my TC tickets for Krys and myself and then, thanks to my contact, I was able to sneak into the stadium to see Céline rehearse. (I have a couple of pictures to prove, but they are not up close ). I also managed to stop Michel to talk to him and take a picture with him as well. He was AMAZINGLY friendly.

 

Then, I waited for Gary and Krys to arrive at the stadium. Little did I know, the whole bunch from the hotel arrived at the same time and told me so many things that made me wish I was there with them. Sigh.... Anyhow, while talking, I spotted Barnev walking around. I told them, "Psst! Look behind you!" and the gang were SO blur, they didn't know. Then, I called out, "Hey, Barnev!" and he stopped and took pictures with us. Such a sweet guy.

 

Then, as Gary and Krys went in to find their seats, I was waiting with a bunch of contest winners who were there to have a "meet and greet" session with Céline. We were all ushered in, around 10 of us. As we waited near the tents of Céline's dressing room as well as the dancers and the catering area, I spotted someone taking a photo near the catering area. I looked in and spotted René! Being the "rebel" that I am, I walked a few steps away from the group and went up to René. Asked him if I could take a picture with him, he said, "Sure!" and then I asked him to sign my "1 Fille 4 Types" book and he did. I was about to hand him my Sharpie when he said, "It's OK, I have one." That was too funny.

 

I also saw Patrick and asked if I could take a picture with him. He was SO tall, I was just about his chest area. Being the funny guy that he is, when I told him, "You are so tall", he squat down to my height just for the picture. Then, he took a normal one with me.

 

And then it came time when Céline came out of her dressing room for the meet and greet. She came by, shook everyone's hand and took pictures, 4 people at a time and then, it was done. There were no autograph signings, so I was devastated. I did get to shake her hand, gave her my two poems and got a hug from her. I also made a fool out of myself in front of her. Sigh...

 

Concert time. That will probably be another review, but then again, Krys got it pretty detailed already.

 

After the concert, Krys, Gary and I hung around near the front of the stage for a bit because the crowd were slowly dispersing and it was causing a major human traffic jam. We spotted Barnev again and he was willing to pose for my camera. Then, we saw Michel taking a break with a cigarette. Then, one of the dancers, Aaron, came by. We waved at him, he came by and chatted with us a bit. We took pictures then he said he had to go. Little did we know, he came back with 4 bottles of cold water for us. That was SO nice of him.

 

Well... That's all for concert day.

 

Later that night, I hung around at Lecka Lecka (a restaurant/bar) near the two hotels Céline and her crew were staying and managed to get a picture with Mego, the Maestro. I said, "I like the Mego Flamenco" and he was like, "How do you know it's the Mego Flamenco?" and I said, "It was written: New Mego Flamenco" and both of us laughed. I also spotted Yves, but he was too busy. I wished I had taken a picture with Jean-Sebastian. He is CUTE!! But I didn't manage to spot him.

I could have not imagine that I would be able to see Celine so close, got her autograph and even took a group picture with Celine! Many many thanks to MalaysiaCeline who brought us to the press conference. Two hours of waiting is nothing at all. Meeting with the other fans were such great a pleasure. Now that's why this forum is for, to gather fans like us and sharing our loves for Celine. Celine is so so beautiful and I thought she look like a Barbie doll. haha..

 

Like Krys mentioned before,we will share some 'exclusive' clip and picture taken by ourselves once it's ready. Stay tune!

Don't feel so bad about it, an autograph is just a piece of paper that can burn in a fire. Getting to interact with her one-on-one is the good part, even if it is for a short time, and that'll be with you for life.

I know that meeting her in person is a definite dream come true for me. But I've also been waiting for years to get a personalized memorabilia and yet, it slipped from my grasp.

 

Worst thing is, I wasn't able to take pictures with my own camera and have to rely on the "official" cameraman to send them over. I wonder when that'll happen.

 

But, thanks for your encouragement. I probably needed that.

i think celine is starting to appreciate art, i was lucky enough to get a copy of the portrait i gave her in vegas in 2006 signed when she was in london in october, and she was really surprised i asked her did she recognise it and she giggled and said of course...so i know how you must feel...

I don't have my own photos because I wasn't allowed to take them. I'm waiting for the "official" photos from SonyBMG Malaysia (and hopefully the cameraman himself because I'd like ALL the pictures he took!)

I think he/they are very reliable and you'll get your pic and it will probably better than your own would be (at least I would prefer that as my camera is fine but it's lightyears behind those profi equipment).

So just be patient and I'm sure you'll get very beautiful pics in some weeks, maybe even signed by Céline like she did for those who met her in Vegas!

The pictures were taken by a local photographer, official only to SonyBMG Malaysia, so, I doubt they'd be signed. I have to say though, my camera wasn't too bad. I managed to video tape the intro videos via the LCD monitors quite clearly from 12th row. I have yet to put them up on the computer because I should be in bed by now. hehe....

 

JessCC, I think that's even better if your pic(s) with Céline has been taken by the official photographer! Ok i will say that but i'm pretty ashame to say it, i'll try to assume after lol.. I don't want to start any gossip but i think Celine may be pretty sad or pretty tired but she said she sounds bad when she's not happy, and for me, it's actually the 1st time she don't sound good, she can't barely sing "My Love" or WWRY.. And i just saw "Alone" from Beeijing and she was crying.. I don't know, i just feel worry and a little bit sad for Celine

Yeah, she was struggling during My Love but I think if she had technical problems during RDMH then she might have had problems during other songs too. I think during Alone she just really felt the lyrics and got into the song, I know it sounds strange when you think it's playback but maybe she just really got lost in the emotion. In the rest of the show she was laughing her head off as we saw in the photos, so I think her overall mood is good/normal. Maybe she's tired but she's used to that so I don't think there's anything serious going on.

Anyway, I'm happy and sad at the same time. Happy because of many things but sad because of ONE thing. I missed the whole "happening" scene at the hotel press-con because I was still on my way back from Shanghai. Sigh....

 

I wish I had an autographed Céline SOMETHING! But, no luck on that scene.

 

Anyhow, you've read Krys' and Gary's review. I'll try to post mine shortly, when I have composed myself to rethink what went on the whole of yesterday.

 

Thanks for your review! I know you are a little bit upset about not getting an autograph but if it were me I much would much rather have your experience of meeting Celine in person than getting an autograph. You should be happy that you actually got to meet her!
