i actually heard Alone on the radio for the first time today on 106.7. To top it off, the DJ payed a nice compliment about it saying: "If you haven't heard this song yet, you definitely should listen because you'll love it, here's Celine Dion performing heart's Alone, her latest single from her album taking chances."

Well now we know that we can't blame radio stations for not playing something they don't have, WHUD played the hell out of TC, it was number one on that station for awhile, whoever is in charge of sending this song out is not doing their job, then again why should we be surprised?

This is depressing. Why is Celine having such a problem getting onto radio these days? Sony really need to have a look at how they do things. Send multiple songs to different styles of radio stations just to see if anything takes off because sadly it looks at though "Alone" isn't going to do so in the US

Alone did not enter the AC chart in the U.S. this week (at least not top 30).

And it falls one spot from 22 to 23 on Canadian AC chart.

 

Will it always be like this? No Celine on the radio, no Celine on the TV music channels?

very frustrating indeed. her album and single is having a really tough time on the charts. i really can't help but get jealous of mariah's success nowadays. after 18 years, she's still a very sellable artist. celine deserves more than what carey is getting. spins and audience is increasing. Just wait a few more days and you'll see it rise. Mariah is having success cause her record company relaesed 3 singles before the CD came out and had a lot of promotion.

Sadly "Alone" doesn't make it onto the Radio 2 playlist for next week, the week before it's supposed digital release in the UK.

 

This is a bad sign for things in the UK. If there's one station that I thought would've picked up the song it would've been Radio 2. They even supported "Eyes On Me." I only hope they add "Alone" for release week on May 5th or at least play it for the time she's here.

As much as we told Sony and Predicted this would happen, I'm still surprised at the lack of support the song is getting fromo AC. I mean, Bryan Adams new song is doubling the amount of stations Alone is at and the song sucks!. My radio station here who always supports Celine wont even play the song! Mind you they still play the old heart song!!!!

sadly, the album didn't catch attention for celine's new listeners. the one's that were buying the records are her all time fans, those who stick with her music. it's really a blame for sony since the album has so many wonderful tracks that could get a listener attention but they refuse it, instead, they play safe for her singles. i dont know if the album could still sell well in the US once the tour kicks off....i just hope it will do so.

 

i dont even know who to blame, is it sony? or is it really the fact that she's not popular anymore??? but where is this vegas tour that hass been a huge it???all i can say, time passes by already....the 90's figures were just figures...it wont be the same today.
