Haha, I mean we had to pay for the cheap seats to get in, so I still spent $100. But I guess I'll just go and if I hate it, OH WELL! I'll have a few more mojitos and then I'll love it.

Well, if you need tickets you can always come to Brussels. The Brussels show is open for sale since last week and relatively few tickets have been sold... Thousands of tickets remain unsold and this in all categories, from the cheapest ones (45 EUR excl. fees) to the most expensive ones (300 EUR excl. fees for "hot seats" (actually these are the same seats as the 150 EUR ones but you get a small gift etc...)).

 

When Madonna came for the first time to Belgium back in 2009 her concert was sold in less then an hour. 65.000 tickets were sold in a record time but unfortunately the concert sucked big time... She started way to late, she found it necessary to change costumes quite a few times and played music videos during those times. Only the few first rows where excited while the rest remained calm... And if that wasn't worse enough it started raining... Unfortunately a lot of people had to hand over their umbrella's at the entrance and were very mad when it finally started to rain. Add this to an allready bad show and you have the ideal mix for people to not go to a Madonna show anymore...

 

So this year she comes back to Belgium, only her second time in history, and the organisation had big expectations... She was booked into the King Baudouin stadium with a capacity of about 70.000 people, a stadium that sold out multiple times before when other artists like Céline Dion, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Robbie Williams, Bon Jovi passed before her... The organisation dreamed probably about a sold out show in no time, maybe dreaming of adding a second show like they did before with U2 & Co... But that something happened that they didn't expect... People weren't running for tickets, actually people were reluctant to buy them... And a week later after opening sales there are still thousands of tickets (exact amount unknown) available in every single categorie... Even the cheapest tickets aren't sold out...

 

So if one wants to see Madonna and likes to travel: Brussels is happy to see you since Belgians aren't happy with Madonna anymore...

 

On thursday she'll be playing in Brussels, until this moment the show isn't sold out in any part of the arena, so if you want to see Madonna and you want to travel to Brussels you can see her as cheap as 45 EUR (excl. taxes and fees).

Last week a supplier of me came nearly begging to go Madonna and he offered VIP tickets, I friendly declined. It's not that I don't like Madonna, her music is quite good but I don't have a need to see her, especially not in an open venue when they give a forecast of rain showers. Apparently he ordered dozens of tickets and nobody of his customers wanted to go He ended up giving the tickets away to anyone who liked them.

I was sooooo happy she did Human Nature and especially Like A Prayer.... that was like one of the first mp3s I ever downloaded!

The show was so cool! The effects, the dancers, and her singing live was actually much better than I expected!

yes it seems so.... I have seen a lot of good videos on ziggo dome including the opening scene in perfect hd in the ziggo dome... impressed! how was the sound ?

Tickets are now offered half price through some of the sponsors of the show (Proximus for example, the nr. 1 mobile operator in Belgium).

 

Big difference compared to her previous show (and first show in Belgium) where then 60.000 tickets were sold in less then 1 hour.

Now I have seen all the videos on youtube, I must say, I would loved to have seen the show. I think the people in Holland had a big advantage because the venue was quite small , therefor everyone had good sight or could come very very close to the stage to see Madonna.

Ticket prices are 45 to 150 EUR which is IMHO quite cheap, I've paid a lot more for other artists...

The show was magnificent. Dare I say her best tour yet? The audience loved her and her speech was fantastic, giving that it was the French national holiday. After a week of non-stop rain, we were fortunate that it didn't rain a drop during the concert. She still has the Madonna factor and the electricity in the air is unlike any other artist. It felt as if everyone in the stadium united during "Like a Prayer" and the silence during "Like A Virgin" and the applause afterward was spine tingling.

 

I can't wait to see her again. God save the Queen.

I'm not bashing her at all. You need to stop being so much on the defensive when it comes to Madonna.

 

Because I don't praise everything she does doesn't mean I'm not one of her fans or hating on her.

 

BTW, the article is not talking of economic crisis at all but about the music industries crisis (Crise du disque as stated in the artice). Not the same thing at all.

 

In France, she has sold just under 80,000 copies, a honorable figure in the times of music industry crisis, but very disappointing for the interpreter of Hits like "Papa Do not Preach" and "Like a Prayer".

I have posted way more positive comments about Madonna in this topic than negative one. You need to stop over-exaggerating things. You talk as if I've said some terrible disrespectful things about Madonna when I never said such thing. Because I posted a few comments regarding her album and her Tour that are both a huge disappointment for me and 2 comments regarding her Paris concert and the Marine Le Pen controversy doesn't mean I like to come around when things aren't coming up roses.

She just added a SMALL, INTIMATE show at the Olympia in Paris. The presale MAGICALLY started when I was in class this morning and the regular sale goes on during my midterm Friday. I don't know what to do!

More overpriced than facee value BTW 99% of the time acts will release their sponsors/promoters/friends/family ticket during the last day so I never ever believe a 'sold out' sign beforehand. Anyways, glad you're happy. Now time to relax and just wait til the show!!
